3. Male Reproductive System
INTERNAL ORGANS
SEMINAL VESICLES: They are glands that
produce about 3% of the volume of seminal fluid
located in the pelvic excavation.
EJACULATORY DUCT: Each man has two
of them. They begin at the end of the vas
deferens and end in the urethra. During
ejaculation, semen passes through these ducts
and is subsequently expelled from the body
through the penis.
4. PROSTATE
Exclusive men glandular organ,
shaped like a chestnut. It contains
cells that produce some of the
seminal fluid that protects and
nourishes sperm cells in semen.
URETHRA
The function of the urethra is excretory in
both sexes and also plays a reproductive
function in men by allowing the passage
of sperm from the seminal vesicles to the
prostate which lead to the outside.
5. EXTERNAL ORGANS
TESTICLES
They produce sperm cells and male sex hormones. They
are housed in the scrotum or scrotal sac, which is a set of
wrappers that covers and holds the testicles in men.
PENIS
formed by the spongy body and the cavernosa, one
of whose functions is to deposit the sperm during
vaginal intercourse in the vagina, and thus achieve
fertilization of the egg.
6. EPIDIDYMIS
Narrow and elongated tube, located at the top of the testicle; vas deferens connects the
back of each testicle. It consists of the meeting and bunching of the seminiferous ducts. a
head, body and tail that continues with the vas deferens is distinguished.
VAS DEFERENS
During ejaculation, the smooth
muscle of the ducts contracts,
driving the semen into the
ejaculatory ducts and then to the
urethra, from where it is expelled
outside.
7. Female Reproductive System
INTERNAL ORGANS:
OVARIAN
Located in the abdominal cavity,
producing organs are female
gametes or oocytes, of varying
size according to the cavity, and
age.
8. FALLOPIAN TUBE
Two ducts are approximately 10 cm
in charge of transporting the egg from
the ovary to the uterus. Here takes
place the fertilization of the egg.
UTERUS
Hollow, muscular organ in which the fetus
will develop. The inner wall of the uterus
is the endometrium, which presents
monthly cyclical changes related to the
effect of hormones produced in the ovary,
estrogen.
9. VAGINA
It is the channel that connects the uterus to the outside. It is a conduit
through which sperm enter. Its function is the output of menstruation,
vaginal discharge and babies during childbirth.
10. EXTERNAL ORGANS:
CLITORIS: erectile organ and highly erogenous
women.
LIPS: In number two on each side, the labia
majora and labia minora, folds of skin
protrusions of varying size, consisting of
sebaceous and sweat glands and innervated.
LOBBY BULBS: are located on both sides of
the vaginal opening, connected to the clitoris.
MONS PUBIS: a fat pad on the front of the symphysis pubis, covered with pubic hair and
provided sebaceous and sweat glands.
