Chinese youngsters are enjoying Halloween celebrations and one of
the interpretations to these phenomena, as the following article
suggests, is that 'Western holidays' infuse some relaxation into
the stressed life of urban China.
万圣节是西方(the West)的传统节日[1]之一。近几年,万圣节"狂
欢[2]"在中国的年轻人中也日渐流行 (liu2 xing2, become
popular),但更多的人是将过节当作玩乐[3]的理由,用以减轻快
节奏[4]的生活压力。
在北京(Beijing)的各大商场(shang1 chang3, mall)和超市(chao1
shi4, supermarket),万圣节服装[5]、面具[6]等恐怖装饰[7]被摆
在最醒目[8]的位置。民俗[9]专家曹保明表示,万圣节等"洋节
"('Western holidays')在中国盛行[10],符合中西文化交流[11]的大
潮流,但目前很多西方节日的文化内涵[12]已经消失在消费大潮
里。
据调查,中国内地上班族[13]在过去一年内所承受的压力(ya1
li4, pressure),位列全球(quan2 qiu2, the whole world)第
一。实际上,不仅上班族压力大,大学生和即将步入上班族也面
临着就业压力。
长春市心理研究所(Psychological Research Institute of
Changchun city)主任郑晓 (zheng xiao)表示,中国年轻人压力
大,减压[14]渠道少,所以一些节日成为他们减压的好机会。这
些节日让年轻人放松身心和调节心理[15]的很好的手段。
郑晓更希望年轻人能将减压的渠道拓宽,通过旅行(lv xing, to
travel)、阅读、散步(san bu, to take a walk)等行为放松,因
为仅仅通过节日聚会来减压,对于身心健康的调整是远远不够
的。"
