Characteristics of Research Problems
A research problem is a statement that provides the context for a research study. As stated by Brewer & Hughes, (2005) "Research problems indicate
gaps in the scope or the certainty of our knowledge (Brewer & Hughes, 2005, p. 39)." They point to problematic phenomena, observed events that are
puzzling in terms of our currently accepted ideas, or current ideas that are challenged by new hypotheses (Dissertation101 Mentoring Services, 2013).

Once the data has been collected, the researcher must have a way to communicate the results. The data must be organized in a way that it merges the
existing data with the new data to determine the quality based on the guidelines for collecting the data. Components of a Statement of Research Problem
Essentially, the problem statement provides the basis for the research. The statement of the research problem reflects the general concern that leads to
the specific problem and must be factual and clearly stated. Accordingly, it must be a brief precise description, which sets the premise for the problem
to be studied. It distinguishes and states the underlying problems, if any and outlines the hypotheses, along with the research questions
(Dissertation101 Mentoring Services, 2013).
Precise, factual and clearly stated. Researcher seek to answer a question or to find a solution to a problem. Providing factual information to introduce
the problem will change the perspective of what people think or know about the problem. As well the research should speak to the literature that is
prevalent and to what is missing from this literature. Therefore, a statement of the problem needs to be precisely stated in one or two sentences that
outlines the problem of the research. The statement of the problem should also address the question (Levy & Ellis, 2008). As stated by Levy and Ellis,

Characteristics Of My Family
When I was 13 years old, I realized that I really did fit in with my family. My facial features are remarkably similar to my mother's, and I have the
same color hair as my father. I'm artistically talented at art/drawing like my mother. I also have the same taste in music as my dad. We're one big
family with many similarities.
I did not always consider myself as eminently similar to my family. Mostly because my family was not like your typical family. Mother, father, two
kids and a pet living happily, no. My parents were never married, and I had lived with my grandmother and uncle since I was only a few months old.
My mother was always out and about doing whatever, and my father was either always working or laid off and out playing with his band at bars and
what not.
One day, during summer after 7th grade, I discovered that I was a pretty good at drawing like my mom. It was a hot summer day, so I stayed
inside. I walked into the living room and saw my mom drawing. She is such an amazing artist, I thought to myself as I watched her sketch. "Hey
mom, how is your drawing coming along?', I asked. "Good Punkin, would you like to draw too?", she then asked. "Ya, sure. Sounds fun!", I replied.
I began to draw a rose, then added a quote to it. The quote was, "We accept the love we think we deserve." by Stephen Chbosky. My mother watched
as I drew the rose then said, "Looks like you got mama's artistic side, Hun!", she then said.
In an artistic sense, I realized

Short Story Characteristics
The short story is a concise form of narrative prose that is usually simpler and more direct compared to longer works of fiction such as novels.
Therefore, because of their short length, short stories rely on many forms of literary devices to convey the idea of a uniform theme seen throughout the
script. This theme is illustrated by using characteristics that are developed throughout the story such as, plot, setting and characters. The three main
components are developed throughout the story in order to guide the reader to the underlying theme, which is necessary as a short story lacking a theme
also lacks meaning or purpose.
The short story "Sonny's Blues" by James Baldwin uses characterization to...show more content...
The combination of the protagonist's insanity and the setting of the nursery with yellow wallpaper identify a theme of imprisonment of females in a
domestic world. The anonymous wife is taken by her husband to a country mansion to recover from a state of hysteria. The narrator then takes it upon
herself to actively study and decode the wallpaper, and through her downward spiral into insanity she untangles its confused pattern to reveal a woman
trapped in the depths of the chaotic outlines. As time passes the narrator begins to relate to this encaged woman and believes that she too is trapped
within the wallpaper. During the last few nights the narrator tears down the wallpaper in an attempt to escape from her cage. The use of the yellow
wallpaper as a symbolic gesture to the entrapment of women shows how setting can directly relate to the theme of a short story.
Plot can also be used as a direct representation of the theme in a short story. Plot is the combination of setting, characters, and the series of events
that allow the story to progress. The idea of a unifying event that forces a child into the adult world is identified, by analysis of the plot, as the theme
of Alice Munro's "Royal Beatings". The story progresses by a series of flashbacks through Rose, the protagonist's, life developing the

Personal Characteristics Essay
There are many personal characteristics that can affect a person as an individual and his professional success, namely openness, ability to learn and
adapt etc. These personal characteristics can sometimes make a person successful and sometimes doesn't. As I spend more and more time as a
professional, I perceive that there are few characteristics that are essential for professional success: namely ambitious, creative and adaptable. These
characteristics come out in many different ways. Have you set your goals? Have you decided the path you have to take to pursue your goal? What
are the sacrifices you can do to achieve your ambition? How much can you think out of the box to resolve a particular issue or bring new idea to the
table? How...show more content...
This characteristic will motivate me to grow better in my future career as well. I believe that few people have a strong inner feeling that pushes them
to think out of the box to identify as issue and find the solution. Personally, I always try to find the most creative solution and do not give up until I get
it. Sometime this energy is contagious on to next. I always search for the missing links and fine–tune my thoughts until I reach a point that works. This
creativity has steadily driven my ambitions through the organization. Today the world is changing so rapidly and the way it has changed in last few
decades, it hasn't changed in last few hundred years. So adaptability has become the need of the hour. I believe that adaptability is the most important
quality of all, particularly if one is in technology industry. There have been times when this adaptability has changed the nomenclature of day and night
but it has also given me rewards at the appropriate times. Adaptability, personally, has created a far–reaching international outlook and I was able to
spend time, living outside my country of origin, working for UK retails giants and this stay not only diversified my work experience but also my
cultural experience. It has improved my exposure to diverse situations with increasing levels of complexity and this exposure has increased my
eagerness for new challenges. It has instigated a feeling in me that there

All Our Personalities Is Unique Essay
Every human being living on earth has a particular personality that makes them unique. As creatures of both nature and nurture, it's important to
consider that there are a variety of factors that contribute to the development of our personality (Barness & Parish, 2013). Personality is a set of traits
and characteristics unique to an individual. Without the existence of different personalities, everybody would think, act, and display the same emotions
in a given scenario. Although it seems as if sometimes it's a natural thing to act a specific way, the environment we find ourselves in is what ultimately
shapes and constraints us to act in a certain matter ("What is Personality," 2009). The behaviorist perspective on personality seeks to...show more

Although both techniques involve conditioning, operant conditioning uses rewards and punishments in order to progressively shape a desired behavior
(Cherry, 2013).
The theory of behaviorism is not black and white, but it can be concluded that almost everything is shaped by conditioning and the environment.
According to behaviorists, we are born a blank slate. Simple things and complex ideas about life are actively built as we grow up. As we move
through the stages of life, we acquire unique characteristics through interactions in the environment. Over time, people learn to behave in particular
ways and their personalities may change as a result (Moore, 2013). Perhaps someone might begin to see the world differently and become more open
and extraverted. As we face different situations in life and are conditioned by our parents to act in a certain matter, we slowly evolve as individuals.
Indeed, personality develops over a person's entire lifespan. Behaviors that have positive consequences usually increase, while those that have negative
consequences ultimately decrease (Moore, 2013). Going back to the nature versus nurture debate, the behaviorist theory surely represent the nurture
aspect of the debate. Although it is known today that biology plays a vital role in the development of human beings, the behaviorist theory states that
personality traits are mainly shaped by our environment (Cherry, 2013).
Research suggests that
