Speech On Love Begets Love
As a boy I was taught by teachers in grade school, by my priest that "love begets love." This was also the message when The Beatles sang "And in
the end the love you take is equal to the love you made". So you believe it to be true because the principle is quite straightforward be nice to others
and they'll be nice to you. Simple.
As I grew older however, I realize it is not always the case. It turns out it all depends on the people you chose to love. There are people who are users
who suck you dry for all the love you can give but are nowhere to be found when you need the love back. Then there are the emotional vampires who
feed on your kindness and goodwill because they need it to boost their depleted egos and self–esteem. They will love you back but just enough so
you'd stay. Again, emotionally you lose. Then there are the "foxes": The guarded people who will accept whatever love you can give as long as it
doesn't invade their personal space in which case they'll push back sometimes vehemently lashing out just to tell you to "Stop, stay where you are."
So you pull back clueless of what you did wrong. I call them foxes because they remind me of the fox from the book "The Little Prince" who keeps
the Prince at bay until the fox built up enough trust that the Prince won't hurt him. Next are "Horta", named after the live stone creatures from Star Trek.

Instead of planting for the sake of getting flowers, why not plant a seed solely for the sake of planting. No expectations. No payback. Love not to get
love, but love for the sake of loving alone. In this scenario the users, the vampires, the foxes, and the like won't matter that they are the way they are
because we'll love them anyway. Yes, this kind of loving is most difficult. This kind of loving will beat you up and is exhausting. However, it's the kind
of loving that is most satisfying and fulfilling. Difficult but not

Love : Love And Relationships Essay
Love and relationships
Love is a significant aspect in people's lives that requires commitment and attention. Despite the many assumptions on love, it is important to
understand that happiness in love comes from sharing not only the good but also the bad. In order to have a successful relationship, there is need to
understand that love requires sacrifices as well as endeavoring to cultivate love for mutual benefit. If true love existed in the world, there would be no
need for divorce.
Everyone who desires to have a family normally dreams to have a happy relationship that is founded on love. This love in turn breeds optimism and
fondness for each other which can be envious to many. Therefore, love is significant aspect in every human being that demands a lot of commitment
and attention. However, for any relationship to work, it requires more than just feelings of closeness and promises to live together with one another
with a commitment to ideals of a relationship. It is also good to note that in order to form a trusting and positive relationship that is characterized by
love takes effort and time. When the partners are able to differentiate facts from their feelings, they are able to see their partners in a more clear way
and not through filters of weaknesses they have against their partners.
On the other hand, there are many arguments that dispute the existence of love and only term the relationship between partners as based on mutual
interests. Many supporters of this

The Theme of Love Essay
The Theme of Love
In society today, when someone mentions the word "Love" and are referring to love between two of no relation, it is guaranteed that at least half the
people surrounding you will shudder. Whether it be through observation or experience, people have come to learn thatLove is far from being the ideal
state in which one should live in and, for that matter, many choose to stay away from it. It is known to break hearts, to hurt feelings and, believe it
or not, it truly is not always happily ever after. Yes, Love does have its positive points. It is thrilling and exciting when you're in love, it is sometimes
even euphoric but the argument here is not whether Love is good or bad for you. The argument is that it has as...show more content...
To make matters worse, Princess Buttercup ends up being kidnapped by a trio of kidnappers. Fortunately, Buttercup's true love, Westley, is still alive
and has come back to rescue her. Of course, before the couple can be reunited in blessed matrimony, there are a number of interesting obstacles to
overcome. "The Princess Bride" evokes the wonder of fairy tales, with its damsels–in–distress, evil monsters, and generous portions of romance thrown.
A wonderful fairy tale it is and knowing full well that nothing is to be taken literally, it is only natural for one to sift the true meaning behind this movie.
Love conquers all. As many times as this phrase is to be used, it is necessary to keep mentioning it. It is understandable to say that this movie has
been created for children, but is it not wrong to deceive them about the idea of love? It builds an unnecessary idea that there is no stopping Love
when it comes your way. There is slight suffering in the movie when Buttercup feels the loss of her true love, and then loses him again for the second
time after the Prince attempts to kill him. Yet, Westley revives, twice, on the basis that he has promised his one and true love that he shall be back for
her. Nothing is going to stop him. As for Buttercup, she remains ever–so–faithful for 5

Love is a certain emotion or feeling inside every individual. Most individuals at a point in their life have faced love, whether it's being loved or have
loved. Love appears to be the foremost principal objective that all individuals strive for in their lifetime. Love is one of the view things all individuals
can come together and agree on that we need. There are different types of love, but my experience of love can be different from others. Being able to
love yourself is very vital if you are trying to love someone else. However, love is not a good or bad thing, it has its pros and cons just like every other

learn to appreciate and pamper themselves. Appreciate how far you have come from where you started, and love the way you have paved your

emotion nevertheless, and all feeling or emotions have pros and cons. Love is something that varies from person to person, and the pros and cons

The best example of this protection is from my aunt and uncle who recently got married over the summer, the two had been dating 5 years prior
that my aunt's works on computers and my uncle is a dialysis nurse who have three children to take care of including me. For months I had
watched my aunt stress over the finances of the wedding don't to the day before the wedding itself and every time she did I watched my uncle
attempt to comfort her anyway he could. I watched him give her his big ole smile and promise her that everything would be okay, offer solutions
give her the protection and security she needed. The wedding itself was set outside by a lake and the mosquito were all around enjoying the feast,
the aisle covered with purple and silver hydrangea and chairs draped in silver. My aunt and uncle had flew everyone from out of town down here
and bought at least half of the hotel. Of course when it was all over she was financially stress again but he still looked her in the eye and told her
they would work it out. My uncle worked 80+ hours for weeks. That's the meaning of the force field of love having the security of your mate no matter
the circumstances you give them stress even at their weakness point allowing them to know that everything is going to be okay.

Reflective Essay On Love
Have you ever questioned what the definition of love was? Have you ever thought about the true meaning of love?In the text of Symposium it states
that love is a great thing that happens. It states that love isn't just feelings it can be how you feel health wise and how you connect to something. It
often states that love is a amazing and everyone should experience it. They also say many times that love can be powerful and sometimes
overwhelming but it is okay, because the crazy love is the best kind. In the text Symposium it states that love is beautiful, love is natural and love
shouldn't be shamed.
Firstly, in symposium is says numerous times that love is beautiful. In the text it says, "Bear in mind that it is held to be more beautiful to love
openly than in secret." According to The Speech of Pausanias, it says that if you love more openly you will get more out of it then keeping it to
yourself. Also the text states" No one can think it is for the sake of sexual intercourse that the one so eagerly delighted in being with the other. Instead,
the soul of each clearly wishes for something else it can't put into words; it divines what it wishes, and obscurely hints at." This is saying that it
may not be the body that wants intercourse but it may be the soul that truly wants it. Lastly, the text states, " For it is necessary to be able to make
the most inimical elements in the body friendly and love each other. But the most inimical are the most opposite: cold to hot, bitter to sweet, dry to
wet, all such as that; it is by knowing how to instill Eros and unanimity that our progenitor Asclepius, as these poets here say and I myself,
established our art." This is saying that loving someone doesn't mean you are exactly alike but you are compatible, you complement each other. It
also says that dangerous love is okay, having dangerous love is not only beautiful but in fact it is like a piece of art that is unique. There are only so
many loves in television history that are beautiful. The one that is beautiful is Derek and Meredith in Grey's Anatomy, they were perfect for each other.
They never had any arguments, they cared deeply for each other and they complimented each other. So not only is love beautiful but it

Different Types of Love Essay
"Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does. Love is a battle, love is a war; love is a growing up." –James A. Baldwin. The author,
Baldwin talks about the fact that we assume love starts once you meet that person and it ends when you die, but love is everlasting and is a part of
you from the very beginning. In his quote he also says that we will face different types of love, while growing up. Films are made about it, books,
songs, and poems are written. Artists draw, paint and sculpt from inspiration of it and people spend their entire lives waiting for it. In dictionaries love
is defined as a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection but it is more than just a deep connection. Its more than deep connections...show

This is why mother sends out more of a warm fuzzy feeling than the father. Family love is the type of love that every human being encounters
throughout his or her lifetime. It's the very first and less painful type of love. Parental love isn't the only part of family love. Sibling love is a big
part to. Sibling rivalry starts when the second child is born and the 1st child starts to feel alienated and abandoned. Even though siblings are like
archenemies, they have the most caring love. Since they are closer through blood, they have the ability to protect each other and fight for each other.
Another main type of love is the love that is felt towards friends. This love is felt less when younger because when you are younger you are
accompanied more by parental love and attention. But when grown older, parents become busier that the kid will start creating their own bonds and
connections with other children their age. This would start a friendship. After people make new friends they start to become more dependent and more
trusting until they feel like they are one person with their friend. Having common interests, similar history, common values, and equality draws people
to be together as friends. Psychologically when one friend feels pain the other friend feels it because of the bond created between them. In their mind
they have automatically "connected" themselves with that person. But friendship is the hardest to find because you're not

Love And Love: The Elements Of Love
The experience of love is very rare because this is not just a feeling rather than this connects two souls. Whenever we ask, "what is love?" It simply
addresses the meaning to the question, which we wonder "Am I loved?" Or we ask "Do I love?" When we are loved, we tend to feel it intuitively in
our guts. But he does it work? Is there an extrasensory perception in the heart that is able to read the feelings in another person's heart, In fact? , it is
really not that ethereal or supernatural. On the contrary, it's pretty practical and down–to–earth .Our heart takes cues from our senses. Everything we

she can be successful, useful, and valuable ,that there are men who will respect her and treat her well. In older novels of Indian writings the element
of love was there but the respect of woman and inspirational thoughts of woman were having no place in the society levels. Mirabai was an
aristocratic Hindu mystical singer and devotee of lord Krishna from Rajasthan and one of the most significant figures of saint tradition. Mirabai was
one of the most important figures of bhakti tradition; poems of Mirabai seem simply flawless and divine. Her poems were the mixture of Guajarati and

Essays in Love
Essays in Love is a novel about two young people, who meet on an airplane between London and Paris and rapidly fall in love. The structure of the
story isn't unusual, but what lends the book its interest is the extraordinary depth with which the emotions involved in the relationship are analysed.
Love comes under the philosophical microscope. An entire chapter is devoted to the nuances and subtexts of an initial date. Another chapter mulls over
the question of how and when to say 'I love you'. There's an essay on how uncomfortable it can be to disagree with a lover's taste in shoes and a
lengthy discussion about the role of guilt in love.

What is Love? Essay
Love, Love, Love. We all think about it, dream about it, sing about it, and even lose sleep worrying about it, but why? Love is such a small word
paired with a vital meaning. It's universal, easy to spell, difficult to define, but impossible to live without. When we don't have it, we search for it,
when we find it, we don't know what to do with it, when we have it, we fear losing it. Love is the constant source of happiness and sorrow. I am young
and I haven't a clue as to what love is, let alone what falling in love is. However, I have my ideas of what love is like. I have never witnessed the
beauty of people falling in love, or the severity of those falling out of love, so what is love?

I think falling in love with someone happens when you least expect it to, when you're too busy focusing on other aspects of your life. This is
where fate comes into play. That specific person was led to you for some unknown reason. Out of the blues, it's like your knight in shining amour
that you have longed to be with finally found his/her way to you. There are people in this world that think they may never fall in love again. You fall
at times, but you get back up. You will love again, and you will also trust again. You have to simply let things get themselves done, that's when you
know it's meant to be, because destiny took its course, and while you were too busy doing something else, the love of your life came along.
Love dates way back to when the world began. In reality, we really have no idea what love truly is. Raising questions like, is it even real? We watch
love movies, read romance novels, but that's the sugar–coated, sweet and simple version of it. Meeting someone, fall in love, get married, have kids,
spend the rest of your lives together. What about the suffering we have to endure when falling in love? Risking everything for that one person? And
even when we feel we've reached the end of the road, this person has the power to leave us at any given moment. We put ourselves out there with the
chance they can break us apart.
Love, as it is with everything,

All our cultural conditioning makes us regard love as a single positive feeling, when in fact there are a multitude of feelings, including those of envy,
hostility and jealousy, mutual bitterness and some positively inhuman actions – all sanctified, as it were, by a single word: love. To this word we tag all
kinds of expectations.
Our over focus leads us to demand too much from love. We put all our emotional eggs in one basket: a romantic partner must be all things to us–
lover, friend, companion, playmate and parent. We don't realize that no matter how hard a partner tries to be all things to us, gratifying all of one's
needs is a herculean task – beyond the human calling.
Cultural ideas that love is obtainable by "wishing on a star" or calling on one's fairy godmother, is a result of "destiny," or other
wish–fulfillment myths blind people to the reality that values must be earned by self–generated and self–sustaining action.
Romantic relationships are the greatest arena for spiritual growth available to us. It is well worth the risk to take a chance on love if we are viewing
it as a learning experience rather than the goal in, and of, itself. Romance is part of the journey – not the destination.
There is nothing wrong with wanting the prince or princess to come into our lives. What is important is to know that they will have issues to work
through – and they will push the buttons of our issues so that we are forced to

Love is an abundant emotion that has different degrees. There is familial love, friendly love, unconditional love, and of course romantic love.
Romantic love will be the superstar of this article. Romantic love may be around every corner whether between an old couple or a young teenage
romance. However, love is not the easiest thing to attain. It is such a simple concept, though a difficult thing to actually have a person's hands on.
Most people nowadays will yearn for something more commonly known as true love. True love can be explained in a sense that it is a person we
may or may not consider as a soul mate. It can be someone we love to a certain degree that we feel happy, complete, and contented.
The definition may be thrown out there in whatever way, but meeting eye to eye with said true love comes with certain complexity.
In other times, we may be thrown off. What we think could be considered love may not actually be love.
Though before knowing how to find love, one must know the basics when it comes to the act of loving in general.
PsychologyToday.com records research on love.
According to said research, vital things to a deep kind of love are physical attraction and a certain level of intimacy, which follow through with
companionship that you feel towards the other person.
The following can lead to difficulty because, in a sense, people of today are inclined towards an ideal view of romance. People are blinded by what they

One great advice, I can give to you is wait for your true love to approach you. The significance of the person approaching you, just justifies that the

between family, friends, or lovers, it is an overwhelming emotion that can be experienced in many different ways.

A close–knit loving bond between two people can begin with a friendship. Whether it is a friendship between two males, two females, or one male and
one female, these friendships will develop into love. In no way is it a romantic love, but this type of love connects and bonds friends. Friends may
move away or friendships may wane, but the love between the two people burns on forever.
Romantic love is a love that not every person will experience. It is a type of love that is not there at the beginning, but grows within the individual.
When one finally finds the love they have been looking for, one can not imagine life with anybody else. Romantic love is a connection between two
souls that is captured with a feeling that is not only felt within the heart but within their body as well. I have never been in love with a girl; I can
only imagine what it might be like to be in love. Guessing from my sister's relationship with boys, it seems like a big headache instead of a wonderful
feeling.
To simply write a definition of love is complicated because every person has a different perception of love. The only way to capture the true meaning
of love is to experience the feeling and find out for oneself, what love is. In our lives and the lives of others, love is evident. Whether it is between

Love in Poetry
There are endless ways in which love can be portrayed and occur. There are numerous types of love, whether it's physical, emotional or romantic love.
I intend to expand upon and highlight the various ways in which love an loss is portrayed in 5 selected poems: John Clare's 'First
Love', John Keats' 'La Belle Dame Sans Merci', Robert Browning 'My Last
Duchess' and Christina Rossetti's two poems 'Birthday' and
'Remember'. All of the poets portray love the concept of love or loss or both in relation to some; they all attempt to capture and express the presence
of love and loss in the closest way possible.

Oblivious to the fact that the young girl still does not recognise his feelings towards here or his existence as a matter of fact; Clare carries on

The poet expresses his loss in such a way that the reader feels sympathetic towards him; secretly admiring and long a woman who does not even know

?Is love?s bed always snow??

Essay about What is Love?
What is love? The type of love I'm describing is the one that gives you butterflies when a certain person comes to mind. Just seeing that particular
person can be enough to make one smile and make your day and all the worries go away. Right now that person comes to mind. It's neither a crush nor
infatuation and many are willing to do anything for this thing that is called love. Love can hurt in the long run, and people can also be blinded by it.
Those who are ready to be loved have to ask themselves if there are emotionally ready for. Many people put up walls to guard their "heart" from being
hurt again. Love teaches us many lessons. We use those lessons in our future relationships. We don't want to make the same mistakes. Lastly, love

blind. When we're truly in love with the person we see beyond color or it doesn't matter because that person accepts that person for whom they are.
When we love those that a different culture from us we see beyond those imperfections. It's hard to describe 'love' through the sense. When we
experience through the sense of sigh its hit us like a stuck of lightening. Almost love at first sight. Love through the sense of touch is when they you

experience love through the sense of smell when you're used to a certain aroma from that person. You seem to get used to when they wear a certain
cologne or perfume that you always loved. When we experience the sense of hear in the relationship when we speak of our day. It's not just to hear

Essay on Love
Much has been said about love, but if you search the horizon, you will discover that most of the things written about love are either pithy or cynical.
Society in general can be cruel and heartless toward real virtue of any kind. In the most popular venues, love is seldom dealt with with any degree of
sobriety. Modern humor mocks marriage, husbands and wives, then glorifies every conceivable breech of virtue, such as sexual immorality, profane and
obscene values.
Real love is a mystery to most people. Most people never realize the true potential or value of love, nor do they learn to practice the art of love. It is
usually very poorly defined. People think they are in love, but they can't explain it. There is a great deal of confusion...show more content...
Romance is different from love, even though ideally, they should occur together. Romance is the emotionalcomponent of love. Romance adds the
sparkle in your eyes. Romance adds the perfume and the colors. Romance embellishes the scenery and swells the music. Romance is the gilding of
love. Romance is gold leaf. It is ornamentation. Romance sometimes becomes a means unto itself. It even becomes a cheap substitute for love at
times. Some people seem to desire the trappings and embellishments of romance in place of genuine relationships. By comparison, romance is
superficial to love. Romance is skin deep. Love is heart deep. Romance requires things that love does not require. Romance requires gifs and surprises
and lavish attention. Romance sometimes demands things that contradict love. Romance is offended when the gold leaf wears off. Romance
condemns love that is not eye–pleasing. Romance often injures and denigrates true love because love doesn't always appeal to romance's selfishness.
Love is for givers, not getters. Those who demand to be loved before they will love shouldn't be surprised if no one gives them love. Lovers live in a
world of giving. The getters, the ones who are looking for love, is a different world. We have a duty to love, but we have no guarantees that we will be
loved. We have it in our power to love, but we have no power to force others to love us. It is folly to spend life demanding love from

Love In Love : My Love Of Love
Love – a word which can make you or break you. Maybe my story isn't heart wrenching, but every story is special. For me, he's special.
A love story in which I could never find him beside me physically but I knew he's with me. I could feel his presence. It's been 11 months. 11 months
of togetherness. 11 months with 11.000 times break up. 11 months of wait to see him, to just have a glance of him. 11 months of separation. 11 months
of the long distance. 11 months of being in love with an Army Man.
It started amorously. We both didn't want a lovey–dovey, nutty about each other or a typical nonu–shonu (that's what he says) kind of relationship. It
was a mature love. A kind of relationship which was more about loving, not being loved. I...show more content...
I don't know what I should call this. His love or his prudence. His self–restraints were breaking me down. We hardly talked after that. He wanted me to
be with him but he couldn't put any effort. I used to cry myself to sleep. But he never came to wipe off the tears. I felt like maybe he doesn't love me
anymore. Maybe I am not good enough. He was my friend, my confidant, my comfort, my lover..... My safe place but he turned around.
I was losing all my hope. I was losing all my belief. I was losing my peace. I was letting him take me for granted. But I loved him. And I just
couldn't unlove him. No matter how hard I try. That was the most difficult part, to hold on to him or let him go. But still, there's something ...
There's something in the way he looks at me like I am his first glimpse of sunshine after a year of darkness. And in the way, he says my name, like
it's his favourite song playing all day long. There's something in his eyes when I first see him in the morning like I don't need coffee because he gives
me all the energy I need. And in the way, he smiles at my mention, like I'm a question only he is lucky enough to know the answer to. There's
something about two people falling in love; a collection of delightful moments which makes us moving, which made me hold onto him.
Now I understood why people are falling out of love nowadays. Maybe they're not prepared for the sacrifices, for the compromises, for the
unapologetic behavior, for

Speech On Love Begets Love

  • 1. Speech On Love Begets Love As a boy I was taught by teachers in grade school, by my priest that "love begets love." This was also the message when The Beatles sang "And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you made". So you believe it to be true because the principle is quite straightforward be nice to others and they'll be nice to you. Simple. As I grew older however, I realize it is not always the case. It turns out it all depends on the people you chose to love. There are people who are users who suck you dry for all the love you can give but are nowhere to be found when you need the love back. Then there are the emotional vampires who feed on your kindness and goodwill because they need it to boost their depleted egos and self–esteem. They will love you back but just enough so you'd stay. Again, emotionally you lose. Then there are the "foxes": The guarded people who will accept whatever love you can give as long as it doesn't invade their personal space in which case they'll push back sometimes vehemently lashing out just to tell you to "Stop, stay where you are." So you pull back clueless of what you did wrong. I call them foxes because they remind me of the fox from the book "The Little Prince" who keeps the Prince at bay until the fox built up enough trust that the Prince won't hurt him. Next are "Horta", named after the live stone creatures from Star Trek. ...show more content... Instead of planting for the sake of getting flowers, why not plant a seed solely for the sake of planting. No expectations. No payback. Love not to get love, but love for the sake of loving alone. In this scenario the users, the vampires, the foxes, and the like won't matter that they are the way they are because we'll love them anyway. Yes, this kind of loving is most difficult. This kind of loving will beat you up and is exhausting. However, it's the kind of loving that is most satisfying and fulfilling. Difficult but not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Love : Love And Relationships Essay Love and relationships Love is a significant aspect in people's lives that requires commitment and attention. Despite the many assumptions on love, it is important to understand that happiness in love comes from sharing not only the good but also the bad. In order to have a successful relationship, there is need to understand that love requires sacrifices as well as endeavoring to cultivate love for mutual benefit. If true love existed in the world, there would be no need for divorce. Everyone who desires to have a family normally dreams to have a happy relationship that is founded on love. This love in turn breeds optimism and fondness for each other which can be envious to many. Therefore, love is significant aspect in every human being that demands a lot of commitment and attention. However, for any relationship to work, it requires more than just feelings of closeness and promises to live together with one another with a commitment to ideals of a relationship. It is also good to note that in order to form a trusting and positive relationship that is characterized by love takes effort and time. When the partners are able to differentiate facts from their feelings, they are able to see their partners in a more clear way and not through filters of weaknesses they have against their partners. On the other hand, there are many arguments that dispute the existence of love and only term the relationship between partners as based on mutual interests. Many supporters of this Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The Theme of Love Essay The Theme of Love In society today, when someone mentions the word "Love" and are referring to love between two of no relation, it is guaranteed that at least half the people surrounding you will shudder. Whether it be through observation or experience, people have come to learn thatLove is far from being the ideal state in which one should live in and, for that matter, many choose to stay away from it. It is known to break hearts, to hurt feelings and, believe it or not, it truly is not always happily ever after. Yes, Love does have its positive points. It is thrilling and exciting when you're in love, it is sometimes even euphoric but the argument here is not whether Love is good or bad for you. The argument is that it has as...show more content... To make matters worse, Princess Buttercup ends up being kidnapped by a trio of kidnappers. Fortunately, Buttercup's true love, Westley, is still alive and has come back to rescue her. Of course, before the couple can be reunited in blessed matrimony, there are a number of interesting obstacles to overcome. It is understandable to say that this movie has been created for children, but is it not wrong to deceive them about the idea of love? It builds an unnecessary idea that there is no stopping Love when it comes your way. There is slight suffering in the movie when Buttercup feels the loss of her true love, and then loses him again for the second time after the Prince attempts to kill him. Yet, Westley revives, twice, on the basis that he has promised his one and true love that he shall be back for her. Nothing is going to stop him. As for Buttercup, she remains ever–so–faithful for 5 Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Experience Of Love Love is a certain emotion or feeling inside every individual. Most individuals at a point in their life have faced love, whether it's being loved or have loved. Love appears to be the foremost principal objective that all individuals strive for in their lifetime. Love is one of the view things all individuals can come together and agree on that we need. There are different types of love, but my experience of love can be different from others. Being able to love yourself is very vital if you are trying to love someone else. Another great way to love yourself is to make sure you acknowledge when the you do something good. Individuals giving a pat on their own back, is a great way to love yourself. Individuals should learn to appreciate and pamper themselves. Appreciate how far you have come from where you started, and love the way you have paved your future. Not to mention, occasionally pampering yourself is not a bad thing. We only live once, and this world is changing for the worst; therefore, I believe with more love our world can change for the good. Love is typically portrayed as a great thing to have or give; however, it is a feeling or emotion nevertheless, and all feeling or emotions have pros and cons. Love is something that varies from person to person, and the pros and cons differ as well. A feel the biggest pro for love would be, that there is always someone there for you. It does not matter if you are having the best day or the worst day of your life, you will have someone to share it with. Am important con, is the one no one wants, a heartbreak. • 6. Reflective Essay On Love Have you ever questioned what the definition of love was? Have you ever thought about the true meaning of love?In the text of Symposium it states that love is a great thing that happens. It states that love isn't just feelings it can be how you feel health wise and how you connect to something. It often states that love is a amazing and everyone should experience it. They also say many times that love can be powerful and sometimes overwhelming but it is okay, because the crazy love is the best kind. In the text Symposium it states that love is beautiful, love is natural and love shouldn't be shamed. Firstly, in symposium is says numerous times that love is beautiful. In the text it says, "Bear in mind that it is held to be more beautiful to love openly than in secret." According to The Speech of Pausanias, it says that if you love more openly you will get more out of it then keeping it to yourself. Also the text states" No one can think it is for the sake of sexual intercourse that the one so eagerly delighted in being with the other. Instead, the soul of each clearly wishes for something else it can't put into words; it divines what it wishes, and obscurely hints at." This is saying that it may not be the body that wants intercourse but it may be the soul that truly wants it. Lastly, the text states, " For it is necessary to be able to make the most inimical elements in the body friendly and love each other. But the most inimical are the most opposite: cold to hot, bitter to sweet, dry to wet, all such as that; it is by knowing how to instill Eros and unanimity that our progenitor Asclepius, as these poets here say and I myself, established our art." This is saying that loving someone doesn't mean you are exactly alike but you are compatible, you complement each other. It also says that dangerous love is okay, having dangerous love is not only beautiful but in fact it is like a piece of art that is unique. There are only so many loves in television history that are beautiful. The one that is beautiful is Derek and Meredith in Grey's Anatomy, they were perfect for each other. They never had any arguments, they cared deeply for each other and they complimented each other. So not only is love beautiful but it Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The author, Baldwin talks about the fact that we assume love starts once you meet that person and it ends when you die, but love is everlasting and is a part of you from the very beginning. In his quote he also says that we will face different types of love, while growing up. Films are made about it, books, songs, and poems are written. Artists draw, paint and sculpt from inspiration of it and people spend their entire lives waiting for it. It's the very first and less painful type of love. Parental love isn't the only part of family love. Sibling love is a big part to. Sibling rivalry starts when the second child is born and the 1st child starts to feel alienated and abandoned. Even though siblings are like archenemies, they have the most caring love. Since they are closer through blood, they have the ability to protect each other and fight for each other. Another main type of love is the love that is felt towards friends. This love is felt less when younger because when you are younger you are accompanied more by parental love and attention. But when grown older, parents become busier that the kid will start creating their own bonds and connections with other children their age. This would start a friendship. After people make new friends they start to become more dependent and more trusting until they feel like they are one person with their friend. Having common interests, similar history, common values, and equality draws people to be together as friends. Love comes under the philosophical microscope. An entire chapter is devoted to the nuances and subtexts of an initial date. • 10. What is Love? Essay Love, Love, Love. We all think about it, dream about it, sing about it, and even lose sleep worrying about it, but why? Love is such a small word paired with a vital meaning. It's universal, easy to spell, difficult to define, but impossible to live without. When we don't have it, we search for it, when we find it, we don't know what to do with it, when we have it, we fear losing it. Love is the constant source of happiness and sorrow. I am young and I haven't a clue as to what love is, let alone what falling in love is. However, I have my ideas of what love is like. I have never witnessed the beauty of people falling in love, or the severity of those falling out of love, so what is love? Love in general could be frightening. Some...show more content... I think falling in love with someone happens when you least expect it to, when you're too busy focusing on other aspects of your life. This is where fate comes into play. That specific person was led to you for some unknown reason. Out of the blues, it's like your knight in shining amour that you have longed to be with finally found his/her way to you. There are people in this world that think they may never fall in love again. You fall at times, but you get back up. You will love again, and you will also trust again. You have to simply let things get themselves done, that's when you know it's meant to be, because destiny took its course, and while you were too busy doing something else, the love of your life came along. Love dates way back to when the world began. In reality, we really have no idea what love truly is. Raising questions like, is it even real? We watch love movies, read romance novels, but that's the sugar–coated, sweet and simple version of it. Meeting someone, fall in love, get married, have kids, spend the rest of your lives together. What about the suffering we have to endure when falling in love? Risking everything for that one person? And even when we feel we've reached the end of the road, this person has the power to leave us at any given moment. We put ourselves out there with the chance they can break us apart. Love, as it is with everything, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. The Idea Of Romantic Love Essay We are brought up on romantic love. Is this true in your experience? If so write a paper on which you first define this amorphous concept and then discuss how you came about it. For eg. Have you been influenced by media, T.V., movies in particular. Conclude by stating whether you believe in romantic love or have cast of the idea. "I don't care what you think, when he comes I'll leave and won't even turn back and look at you, he'll love me, he won't be like you..." Words spoken by me when I was barely 10 years of age. I was addressing my mother after we'd had an argument and referring to the arrival of my prince charming who would understand all my dilemmas and make life 'heaven' for me. All our cultural conditioning makes us regard love as a single positive feeling, when in fact there are a multitude of feelings, including those of envy, hostility and jealousy, mutual bitterness and some positively inhuman actions – all sanctified, as it were, by a single word: love. To this word we tag all kinds of expectations. Our over focus leads us to demand too much from love. We put all our emotional eggs in one basket: a romantic partner must be all things to us– lover, friend, companion, playmate and parent. We don't realize that no matter how hard a partner tries to be all things to us, gratifying all of one's needs is a herculean task – beyond the human calling. Cultural ideas that love is obtainable by "wishing on a star" or calling on one's fairy godmother, is a result of "destiny," or other wish–fulfillment myths blind people to the reality that values must be earned by self–generated and self–sustaining action. Romantic relationships are the greatest arena for spiritual growth available to us. It is well worth the risk to take a chance on love if we are viewing it as a learning experience rather than the goal in, and of, itself. Romance is part of the journey – not the destination. There is nothing wrong with wanting the prince or princess to come into our lives. What is important is to know that they will have issues to work through – and they will push the buttons of our issues so that we are forced to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is shown that after the act of taking the life of Beloved and attempting the life taking of Denver, Howard, and Buglar, that Sethe truly does love her children. The way Sethe tried to go about saving her children seems unethical and horrible, but there did not seem to be all too many options for Sethe to save her children from the slave life. Howard and Buglar left Sethe and Denver to get away from Sethe, they had even warned Denver about what she had attempted to do to them. Although Howard and Buglar ran from Sethe and there was the attempted murder in the barn, Sethe still thinks of them because they are her children. Denver was tossed as an infant that day in the barn, and she clearly survives. Even after all the events and situations created from the presence of Beloved there is still a strong bond of love between Sethe and Denver. Sethe loves Denver very much, she is her one surviving child that is still with her. Denver has a longing for Beloved. Beloved is her sister and she needs that ghost around. The significance of the person approaching you, just justifies that the person is serious about you and there is a possibility for a committed relationship. I certainly did, however, in my junior year, I identified Pedro as my friend and nothing else. My dreams were still present, but I preferred at the time his friendship over a romantic one. Throughout that time, I set my mind to work on myself: spiritually and mentally wise. When one finally finds the love they have been looking for, one can not imagine life with anybody else. Romantic love is a connection between two souls that is captured with a feeling that is not only felt within the heart but within their body as well. I have never been in love with a girl; I can only imagine what it might be like to be in love. Guessing from my sister's relationship with boys, it seems like a big headache instead of a wonderful feeling. To simply write a definition of love is complicated because every person has a different perception of love. The only way to capture the true meaning of love is to experience the feeling and find out for oneself, what love is. In our lives and the lives of others, love is evident. • 16. Love in Poetry Essay Love in Poetry There are endless ways in which love can be portrayed and occur. There are numerous types of love, whether it's physical, emotional or romantic love. I intend to expand upon and highlight the various ways in which love an loss is portrayed in 5 selected poems: John Clare's 'First Love', John Keats' 'La Belle Dame Sans Merci', Robert Browning 'My Last Duchess' and Christina Rossetti's two poems 'Birthday' and 'Remember'. All of the poets portray love the concept of love or loss or both in relation to some; they all attempt to capture and express the presence of love and loss in the closest way possible. In ?First Love?, the poet (John Clare) situates his poem as if telling a story. The story of a young boy...show more content... Since the moment the poet–to–be set eyes on this fairy tail princess like figure; Clare is paralysed due to the over load of emotion which has overcome him and of such a level experienced for the first time, almost as if he is under a spell: ?My legs refused to walk away.? The poet carries on to say ?Words from my eyes did start;? as if due to the overload of emotion running through his body paralyzing him and making him dumbfound, the young boy desperately wants the girls heavenly eyes to meet with his, as if a sign to recognize him and his feelings towards her. Oblivious to the fact that the young girl still does not recognise his feelings towards here or his existence as a matter of fact; Clare carries on acknowledging his loss, and simultaneously emphasizes his undying love towards her and continuers to secretly admire her. The poet expresses his loss in such a way that the reader feels sympathetic towards him; secretly admiring and long a woman who does not even know he exists let alone his feelings towards her. ?Are flowers the winters choice?? ?Is love?s bed always snow??

Just seeing that particular person can be enough to make one smile and make your day and all the worries go away. Right now that person comes to mind. It's neither a crush nor infatuation and many are willing to do anything for this thing that is called love. Love can hurt in the long run, and people can also be blinded by it. • 19. Essay on Love Much has been said about love, but if you search the horizon, you will discover that most of the things written about love are either pithy or cynical. Society in general can be cruel and heartless toward real virtue of any kind. In the most popular venues, love is seldom dealt with with any degree of sobriety. Modern humor mocks marriage, husbands and wives, then glorifies every conceivable breech of virtue, such as sexual immorality, profane and obscene values. Real love is a mystery to most people. Some people seem to desire the trappings and embellishments of romance in place of genuine relationships. By comparison, romance is superficial to love. Romance is skin deep. Love is heart deep. Romance requires things that love does not require. Romance requires gifs and surprises and lavish attention. Romance sometimes demands things that contradict love. Romance is offended when the gold leaf wears off. Romance condemns love that is not eye–pleasing. Romance often injures and denigrates true love because love doesn't always appeal to romance's selfishness. Love is for givers, not getters. Those who demand to be loved before they will love shouldn't be surprised if no one gives them love. Lovers live in a world of giving. The getters, the ones who are looking for love, is a different world. We have a duty to love, but we have no guarantees that we will be loved. We have it in our power to love, but we have no power to force others to love us. It is folly to spend life demanding love from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
