Persuasive Speech On Technology And Technology
There's good and bad in everything, including change; our society has changed in a number of bad ways and a number of good ways; like the fact
that we don't die from small pox or polio because we have vaccines to prevent them now. We don't have slaves and aren't as racist as we used to be,
we don't beat people for loving the same sex, but of course for both of these there are still people with an older (cruder) mindset so there is an
exception here and there. But just in the past 100 or so years our society has changed tremendously, and yes in some ways we have gone backwards
rather than forwards; but for the most part society has moved forward in changes and technology. Alvin Toffler once said "Change is not merely
necessary to life – it is life." and with that, we shall begin.
Now here's a topic where the pros and cons weigh on each other heavily. Technology– we can do so many things so much easier but we have lost touch
with each other sometimes. We let electronics and technology have full run of our life's and I can honestly not think of a job that doesn't require
technology. In this day and age, almost all of our jobs function smoother or are based purely on technology. Actually, according to iowa.gov more
than 50% of jobs require you to have some sort of degree in technology. Since the 1900s we have come up with lots of inventions to help further
society and make our lives a lot easier. There's the obvious inventions like in 1901 "The first radio receiver, successfully received a radio
transmission" (thoughtco.com) or in 1955 we got the first microwave oven. A really obviousinvention would be in 1937 we came up with the first
digital computer and then 36 years later we invented the first mobile phone, sure as the years go on we came up with newer and more advanced
versions of these but still! Now granted this isn't a technological advancement but still a major invention (arguably one of the best advancements made
by humans) in 1928 a man named Alexander Flemming invented the first antibiotic opening up a new world of invention.
Since we are on the topic of innovation and penicillin, lets talk medicine and the medical field. So much has changed throughout the course of 100
years, especially death

Persuasive Essay On Daycare
Leaving your child with someone else as you head off to work every day is not easy: As a parent, chances are, you long to be with your child 24/7.
This is especially true for new parents. However, once maternity leave has ended, even mom must return to work. While there are several child care
options available, one of the best options available is daycare. That said, choosing the daycare center that suits the needs of your family best will require
a bit of research.
Choosing a Daycare Provider: What Parents Need to Know
Some daycare providers have licensed caregivers. These licensed caregivers receive special training to ensure the children are given exceptional care.
10 Signs of a Good Daycare Provider
1. A Stimulating Environment

Are the toys provided age–appropriate and in good shape? Ask about daily activities: These activities should include talking, singing, dancing, reading
and on–the–floor playtime.
2. Security
Any daycare that you choose should have a locked door policy. This ensures that your child cannot just roam around the neighborhood. Ideally, only
staff members, individuals touring the facility and adults who are dropping off or picking up their children should be allowed in the center. All adult
visitors need to be closely monitored, including you!
3. Age–Group Separation
Toddlers and older children should not be mingling with babies who are under the age of 12–months. Toddlers can be highly–spirited and somewhat
unsteady on their feet. In addition, they have yet to master the art of being gentle with infants.
4. A Clean, Healthy Setting
Look for a health and sanitation rules sign. This sign should address hand washing procedures related to food preparation and diaper changes.
Additionally, it should outline the steps taken to wash and sanitize toys, feeding utensils, and pacifiers, etc.
5. A Safe Setting
Make sure there are:
Gates blocking stairways No choking

Persuasive Essay On Water Pollution
The one thing humans need on this planet to survive is water. If we need water to survive, then why are polluting it? Most of our nation's waterways
are in terrible condition because of the pollution in the water. Water pollution not only can cause illnesses, but also deaths for humans. Humans aren't
the only thing that water pollution causes harm to. It is also hurting our ecosystem. Humans are the leading cause of most water pollution. We keep
throwing wastes into the water making the water unsafe for humans to drink. Scientists are coming up with ways for humans to decrease the amount of
wastes they are putting in the water. We need to stop polluting the one thing that keeps us alive. Water pollution is a change or decrease in water

There is a new chemical that "decreases male fertility, hormones, and testosterone" ("Declining Male Fertility"). The chemicals are in the shape or form
of medicine and pesticides and can affect fish and other species in the water. Some research has shown that these "chemicals make male fish believe
they are turning into females which is declining the male fertility in the water. These chemicals are getting in the water through the sewage pipes
leading into the water. This not only harms the water, but also the organisms inside the water. Water pollution isn't just hurting the environment, but
also costing Americans money. Instead of drinking water from the faucets, people are buying more expensive types of bottled water. Since most people
are buying expensive bottles of water, this is going to cost them more money. "Water pollution is costing the government, facilities, and Americans
nearly $4.3 billion" ("Freshwater Pollution Cost $4.3 Billion"). These pollutants can cause harmful effects on us humans. Water pollution impacts how
humans and other living organisms live their life. Most common way humans are effected by water pollution is through diseases while drinking the
water. Scientists have found over "five hundred different types of diseases" that can affect humans. (Book). These diseases get into the water streams
by human and animal wastes. The diseases in the water can often lead to death for humans. Recent research has shown that that each year

Persuasive Essay On Cyber Security
Over the past few years we have seen a massive surge in terrorist attacks carried out by Islamic fundamentalists, which has forced the US government
to take action in hopes of preventing future attacks. Part of this action has come in the form of increased online surveillance on US citizens. At first
glance, the danger in this is not immediately apparent, but with the information leaked by Edward Snowden it is becoming all too clear what kind of
danger this represents. To be perfectly clear, the purpose of this paper is not to delve into conspiracy theories about the government using this
surveillance to keeps its citizens in check like some Orwellian dystopian society. Rather, this is simply to highlight how dangerous the methods used in
this type of surveillance is to cyber security, and how inefficient it is at stopping terrorism. In the past, terrorism is something that has always had a
presence in the world be live in, whether it be from racial/ethnic supremacists, radical nationalists, religious zealots, or anarchists. Regardless of
which group it was that claimed responsibility for a heinous act of violence, people did not live in fear of being a victim of a terrorist attack,
because the attacks were either so infrequent or small in scale, it just registered as an unfortunate tragedy. Now all of that has changed, if a person
were to ask, "Where was it that fifteen people were killed in that ISIS attack last year?" They would most likely be asked, "Which one?" It

Writing A Persuasive Essay
It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic;
I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I have
the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I
couldn't convince you that the long hours of school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of
passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless

You'll get this definition: "The writer takes a stand on an issue–either "for" or "against"–and builds the strongest possible argument to win over the
reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job to convince the reader to accept a particular point of view or take a specific action." Along with a
bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this essay. I know what you're thinking, this is
ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot
before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here, this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive
essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered
this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you finally settle you know it's not your best work and
the grade shows. Or you did it last minute, reworded someone else's essay. You've even considered turning in nothing, I mean what's the point

Persuasive Essay On The Art Of Art
Art declares many things. It's a way for people to articulate their views, express their emotions, and communicate to the world in a way that gives
them creative release. This ability to exhibit one's views in a imaginative and safe manner is exceptionally important to society's growth, and to border
this freedom to articulate is detrimental. Art should not be hidden and concealed permanently from the public eye because some see it as vulgar due to
the fact that many people have varying definitions as to what is crossing the line. Only certain, obvious things can be noted as truly indecent.
Censorship is not an easy subject. As an artist, there is often a lot of tolerance for the obscene, from appreciation to detail on the human figure or
the unique renditions of animalistic interaction. However, the majority of the public might find the same things that the artists see as a unique
interpretation as vulgar. It is easy to see that such a standpoint must be taken into more consideration, as the point of indecency can differ greatly
for a conservative Christian compared to a liberal atheist. The two images of what each group considers unseemly would most likely range in their
obscenity, and so it would be difficult to put a line where one should be crossed. "If an image offends very many people, sooner or later someone
will invoke the law, and along with it judges, legislators, policymakers, and the police," quotes Melinda Hinkson in Australia's Bill Henson scandal:
notes on the new cultural attitude to images. Here we have a majority rule, where an image should only have action dealt upon it if enough people
want change. Such censorship is easy to determine when there are pieces depicting derogatory themes, such as child pornography or racial notions.
But there are multiple cases where there are two sides of the story, and it is not as simple.
A statue named Truth is Beauty by Marco Cochrane has recently been constructed in the city of San Leandro, here in the bay area. This statue depicts a
nude woman dancing, her body semi–geometric, and although you can not vividly see the all of the womans body parts, it is not difficult to know that
she is supposed to be depicted as naked. A completely naked figure,

Persuasive Essay On Conspiracy Theories
The Internet has played a large role in my interest in conspiracy theories. Although I definitely do not believe all of them, they are fun to look into
and are good tools for procrastination. Falling deeper into the hole that is Wikipedia, I spent a large amount of my free time "researching" them. It got
to the point where I had to force myself to actually work on homework instead. However, I am not one of those crazy conspiracy theorists; I am only
interested in ones that seem legit. All interesting conspiracy theories have similar qualities. A majority of them involve the government or celebrities.
And depending on the theory, they are believable.
My personal favorites all happen to involve the government, some classics included. It is said that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by Bush to
purposely start a war with Afghanistan. Some survivors recall that they heard separate explosions at the time of the attacks, which has led people to
believe that there were pre–planted explosives inside the Twin Towers. It is a well known fact that the towers collapsed at one point, but this is seen as
suspicious to many conspiracy theorists. A common known phrase among believers is "jet fuel can't melt steel beams." Another widely believed theory
is that the Royal Family killed Princess Diana. There are a few versions, one of which is that they killed her to prevent her from exposing the Family
for being awful and corrupt. The other is where she was killed for loving a man of color,

Persuasive Essay On Success
Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but
to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the
requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it
changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because
only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages itsaudience to think differently about wanting to be successful
and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative,
and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise
repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is
expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and
are willing to work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive.

Persuasive Essay On Coffee
Coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide. Eighty–three percent of Americans drink coffee daily, and some more than one cup. Coffee is
made by the grinding of roasted coffee seeds, also known as coffee beans, adding hot water allowing it to flow through the coffee grinds. Coffee was
traditionally introduced as an energy booster to get people through the day. Today, coffee is also a social mechanism where people feel required to drink
it every day. The aspect that makes coffee so addictive is the caffeine. Caffeine is not addictive the way meth or cocaine is but regular use of caffeine
as a stimulate, can cause mild physical dependence. However, coffee is addicting it does allow many health benefits. Coffee can reduce the risk
of type two diabetes and increase the possibility of preventing oral cancers. But like all good things, drinking coffee should not be abused, like
coach Phil from Kicking & Screaming, who throughout the main part of the movie, chugged cups after cups of cappuccinos. Drinking a large
amount of coffee does pose several cons. A con of coffee is an increase in anxiety, and have a negative effect on prescribed medicine. Although many
only use coffees to boost energy early in the morning, this drink can be used to help with problems. Coffee can reduce the risk of type two diabetes,
which is important when living in the world today. Type two diabetes is a very serious and complicated condition, coffee helps control one's blood and

Persuasive Essay About Running
Running is a physically demanding sport. If you are looking for a way to get in shape, then you should consider running. Running uses every muscle
in your body because you are engaging every aspect of yourself in the activity. Also, running is a great way to incorporate more cardio into your
workout. Running is not just about getting in shape and staying shape; but running involves many fun activities and sports.
Some sports that involve running are track and cross country. If you are a competitive individual, then you should consider track or cross country. If
you are a more laid back individual, then you can take into consideration mud runs or glow/color runs. Those events are always fun, and you get dirty
while participating in the event. Running is a good way to get in shape and have fun doing so, but before you begin running, you need to know the
basics of how to begin.
The first step to begin running is to start with runs/walks. You will start by adding one minute of running for every four minutes ofwalking. Gradually
increase your running time, so that eventually you will be running for twice the amount of time that you spend walking. Also, interval running is a
good "beginners" workout. You start by jogging for one minute, then walking for one minute, then you should increase the time by one minute each
time until you are running for five minutes and walking for five minutes. The technique you choose should be most comfortable to you.
However, you need to be

Persuasive Essay About Food Bank
Food banks are a terrible solution to a terrible issue. Hunger is one of the biggest issues the human race experiences. One in nine people in the
world, or 795 million people, out of the 7.4 billion people go hungry every day because they do not have enough to eat. Every 10 seconds, a child dies
from hunger–related diseases (The Hunger Project, 2017). The way lots of organizations try to help these people in need are through food banks. A food
bank is a non–profit, charitable organization that distributes to those who have difficulty purchasing enough food to avoid hunger. Food banks are
inefficient in aspects of time, money, and effort because so much more can be done through donations of money, not non–perishable foods and items.
...show more content...
Another issue arises though, it needs to be transported from the warehouse to the appropriate drop–off place, which is most likely in a high–density
residential area, not an industrial area. The time it takes for all this to happen is simply too much and non–efficient. We are in an era where time is
valuable. Everyone is so busy with their lives, be it for work, school, family, or hobbies, it is unnecessary to spend all this time just to donate
something that not even the buyer would eat. To show an example, let's say a donator's name is David. David works a 9–5 job which pays $20 per
hour and has three kids, two of which have swimming practice after school. David picks up his kids at 5:30, and goes home right in time for
dinner. On his dinner table, he has high quality foods that are packed with nutrients. David remembers there's a food drive raffle near his workplace
that is looking for donations for a chance to win a grand prize. David now has to go out of his way to go to a grocery store to buy non–perishable
foods. Instead of wasting his time going, he can go to the food bank and simply donate money. If David was planning on spending $5 and 45
minutes for the whole process, from purchasing the items to dropping them off, he actually spent $20 plus a few extra dollars for gas. Instead of
wasting 45 minutes of his time to get $5 worth of food, he could easily have donated $25, which go a long way. This will be explained later, but

Persuasive Essay On Internet Censorship
Information is one of the most powerful tools in the world, even going so far as to make or break countries. There is a constant effort to censor
information that puts people or countries in a negative light. This makes the citizens of those countries blind to the truths of the government turning
them into sheep. The people shouldn't be sheep because we need them to shape the future. This bill has the sole purpose of loosening internet censorship
because it eliminates free will, causes people to have a dangerous amount of patriotism and ultimately makes the internet a more dangerous place than it
is. Censorship of the internet keeps people from important knowledge thereby believing that everything on the internet is true. A study was conducted
to look into a handful of billionaires who run tech companies in 24 hours and found "more than 137 examples of Silicon Valley companies brazenly
banning users, censoring content and manipulating search results to undermine the democratization of information on the web." (PR Newswire). The
people with money abuse internet censorship in order to further their own agenda with the support of the greedy. They completely ignore that the
internet is supposed to be a resource for everyone. Internet censorship makes countries rot because "When you have strict censorship of the internet,
young students cannot receive a full education. Their view of the world is imbalanced. There can be no true discussion of the issues." (Ai WeiWei).
The Futures of countries become full of ignorance to the reality of the world. The only truly successful internet censorship is China's system and
while it is impressive to maintain it "China employs 2 million to monitor websites" (YaleGlobal Online). This is an unreasonable amount to employ
for any country, while feasible for the US it would cost us one of the biggest resources in the world. This lack of free will causes citizens to have an
unhealthy amount of patriotism because of the lack of any knowledge of major screw ups as a country. Citizens show a disturbing amount of
patriotism which, while patriotism is good, too much is not caused by people not knowing the bads of their country. China, again as an example, have
pushed censorship to the

Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
Climate Change
Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution,
weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are
trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can
put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our
human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on
the earth.
Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could
be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets
affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the
"impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different
type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction
threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world
and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to
know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals,
and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing
process of the food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun shining towards me.

Persuasive Essays : Persuasive Essay
When I began this class, I loved to write persuasive essays. I loved to write about my own opinions and I was quite good at convincing people to agree
with my stand points. To convince others to agree on my point of view was an extraordinary feeling. I am very good at getting my point across and
giving my reasons on why I feel the way I do about a certain situation. I loved writing persuasive essays because I love to read them as well. I love how
persuasive essays have a call–to–action; giving the readers a chance to do something about the situation. I am all for protest and rights for others, if I
believe someone is wrong I will stand my ground and prove that it is wrong. I loved to write persuasive essays because, I am a persuasive person in

Health Care Persuasive Essay
When it comes to our health, a good healthcare plan is a very important subject for all individuals. Some even argue that it is a basic right to have
one. Bernie Sanders stated, "Healthcare must be recognized as a right, not a privilege. Every man, woman, and child in our country should be
able to access the health care they need regardless of their income..." ("Issues: Medicare for All"). However, reality tells us a whole different story.
America is one of the most developed countries in the world with some of the best medical care. Yet, how can the people enjoy the benefits when
it is almost unaffordable to most. People are afraid to fall sick just because they are afraid of how much it would cost. However, sometimes a
doctor or hospital visit is unavoidable. In most cases, it comes at a great price, especially to the middle class and the elderly. Wealthy individuals
are likely to reap the benefits of having an expensive healthcare plan, while the rest may suffer from the unimaginable cost of treatments, or even
worse, live a risky life without insurance. An effective solution to this problem would be a Universal Healthcare System. This would ensure that all
people have equal and affordable health coverage, centralized healthcare records for all individuals which will help easy diagnosis by doctors and
reduce the intensive labor costs of medical billing. Moreover, it may boost the economy by freeing business from providing expensive healthcare
benefits to workers. According to World Health Organization, "Universal Health Coverage means that all people and communities can use the
promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative health services they need, of sufficient quality to be effective, while also ensuring that
the use of these services does not expose the user to financial hardship". (WHO.int) By doing so, we give the people the opportunity to be equal to the
rest of the society. Since the cost of a healthcare plan is beyond most people's budget in the United States, the average person spends more money on
healthcare insurance than groceries and housing together. This condition leads many to have no coverage at all. In fact, there are over 45 million
uninsured residents in the U.S. in it

Persuasive Speech On Technology And Technology

  • 1. Persuasive Speech On Technology And Technology There's good and bad in everything, including change; our society has changed in a number of bad ways and a number of good ways; like the fact that we don't die from small pox or polio because we have vaccines to prevent them now. We don't have slaves and aren't as racist as we used to be, we don't beat people for loving the same sex, but of course for both of these there are still people with an older (cruder) mindset so there is an exception here and there. But just in the past 100 or so years our society has changed tremendously, and yes in some ways we have gone backwards rather than forwards; but for the most part society has moved forward in changes and technology. Alvin Toffler once said "Change is not merely necessary to life – it is life." and with that, we shall begin. Now here's a topic where the pros and cons weigh on each other heavily. Technology– we can do so many things so much easier but we have lost touch with each other sometimes. We let electronics and technology have full run of our life's and I can honestly not think of a job that doesn't require technology. In this day and age, almost all of our jobs function smoother or are based purely on technology. Actually, according to iowa.gov more than 50% of jobs require you to have some sort of degree in technology. Since the 1900s we have come up with lots of inventions to help further society and make our lives a lot easier. There's the obvious inventions like in 1901 "The first radio receiver, successfully received a radio transmission" (thoughtco.com) or in 1955 we got the first microwave oven. A really obviousinvention would be in 1937 we came up with the first digital computer and then 36 years later we invented the first mobile phone, sure as the years go on we came up with newer and more advanced versions of these but still! Now granted this isn't a technological advancement but still a major invention (arguably one of the best advancements made by humans) in 1928 a man named Alexander Flemming invented the first antibiotic opening up a new world of invention. Since we are on the topic of innovation and penicillin, lets talk medicine and the medical field. So much has changed throughout the course of 100 years, especially death Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Daycare Leaving your child with someone else as you head off to work every day is not easy: As a parent, chances are, you long to be with your child 24/7. This is especially true for new parents. However, once maternity leave has ended, even mom must return to work. While there are several child care options available, one of the best options available is daycare. That said, choosing the daycare center that suits the needs of your family best will require a bit of research. Choosing a Daycare Provider: What Parents Need to Know Some daycare providers have licensed caregivers. These licensed caregivers receive special training to ensure the children are given exceptional care. 10 Signs of a Good Daycare Provider 1. A Stimulating Environment When you...show more content... Are the toys provided age–appropriate and in good shape? Ask about daily activities: These activities should include talking, singing, dancing, reading and on–the–floor playtime. 2. Security Any daycare that you choose should have a locked door policy. This ensures that your child cannot just roam around the neighborhood. Ideally, only staff members, individuals touring the facility and adults who are dropping off or picking up their children should be allowed in the center. All adult visitors need to be closely monitored, including you! 3. Age–Group Separation Toddlers and older children should not be mingling with babies who are under the age of 12–months. Toddlers can be highly–spirited and somewhat unsteady on their feet. In addition, they have yet to master the art of being gentle with infants. 4. A Clean, Healthy Setting Look for a health and sanitation rules sign. This sign should address hand washing procedures related to food preparation and diaper changes.
  • 3. Additionally, it should outline the steps taken to wash and sanitize toys, feeding utensils, and pacifiers, etc. 5. A Safe Setting Make sure there are: Gates blocking stairways No choking Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Persuasive Essay On Water Pollution The one thing humans need on this planet to survive is water. If we need water to survive, then why are polluting it? Most of our nation's waterways are in terrible condition because of the pollution in the water. Water pollution not only can cause illnesses, but also deaths for humans. Humans aren't the only thing that water pollution causes harm to. It is also hurting our ecosystem. Humans are the leading cause of most water pollution. We keep throwing wastes into the water making the water unsafe for humans to drink. Scientists are coming up with ways for humans to decrease the amount of wastes they are putting in the water. We need to stop polluting the one thing that keeps us alive. Water pollution is a change or decrease in water ...show more content... There is a new chemical that "decreases male fertility, hormones, and testosterone" ("Declining Male Fertility"). The chemicals are in the shape or form of medicine and pesticides and can affect fish and other species in the water. Some research has shown that these "chemicals make male fish believe they are turning into females which is declining the male fertility in the water. These chemicals are getting in the water through the sewage pipes leading into the water. This not only harms the water, but also the organisms inside the water. Water pollution isn't just hurting the environment, but also costing Americans money. Instead of drinking water from the faucets, people are buying more expensive types of bottled water. Since most people are buying expensive bottles of water, this is going to cost them more money. "Water pollution is costing the government, facilities, and Americans nearly $4.3 billion" ("Freshwater Pollution Cost $4.3 Billion"). These pollutants can cause harmful effects on us humans. Water pollution impacts how humans and other living organisms live their life. Most common way humans are effected by water pollution is through diseases while drinking the water. Scientists have found over "five hundred different types of diseases" that can affect humans. (Book). These diseases get into the water streams by human and animal wastes. The diseases in the water can often lead to death for humans. Recent research has shown that that each year Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Persuasive Essay On Cyber Security Over the past few years we have seen a massive surge in terrorist attacks carried out by Islamic fundamentalists, which has forced the US government to take action in hopes of preventing future attacks. Part of this action has come in the form of increased online surveillance on US citizens. At first glance, the danger in this is not immediately apparent, but with the information leaked by Edward Snowden it is becoming all too clear what kind of danger this represents. To be perfectly clear, the purpose of this paper is not to delve into conspiracy theories about the government using this surveillance to keeps its citizens in check like some Orwellian dystopian society. Rather, this is simply to highlight how dangerous the methods used in this type of surveillance is to cyber security, and how inefficient it is at stopping terrorism. In the past, terrorism is something that has always had a presence in the world be live in, whether it be from racial/ethnic supremacists, radical nationalists, religious zealots, or anarchists. Regardless of which group it was that claimed responsibility for a heinous act of violence, people did not live in fear of being a victim of a terrorist attack, because the attacks were either so infrequent or small in scale, it just registered as an unfortunate tragedy. Now all of that has changed, if a person were to ask, "Where was it that fifteen people were killed in that ISIS attack last year?" They would most likely be asked, "Which one?" • 7. Writing A Persuasive Essay It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless ...show more content... I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here, this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you finally settle you know it's not your best work and the grade shows. • 12. Persuasive Essay On The Art Of Art Art declares many things. It's a way for people to articulate their views, express their emotions, and communicate to the world in a way that gives them creative release. This ability to exhibit one's views in a imaginative and safe manner is exceptionally important to society's growth, and to border this freedom to articulate is detrimental. Art should not be hidden and concealed permanently from the public eye because some see it as vulgar due to the fact that many people have varying definitions as to what is crossing the line. Only certain, obvious things can be noted as truly indecent. Censorship is not an easy subject. As an artist, there is often a lot of tolerance for the obscene, from appreciation to detail on the human figure or the unique renditions of animalistic interaction. However, the majority of the public might find the same things that the artists see as a unique interpretation as vulgar. It is easy to see that such a standpoint must be taken into more consideration, as the point of indecency can differ greatly for a conservative Christian compared to a liberal atheist. The two images of what each group considers unseemly would most likely range in their obscenity, and so it would be difficult to put a line where one should be crossed. "If an image offends very many people, sooner or later someone will invoke the law, and along with it judges, legislators, policymakers, and the police," quotes Melinda Hinkson in Australia's Bill Henson scandal: notes on the new cultural attitude to images. Here we have a majority rule, where an image should only have action dealt upon it if enough people want change. This statue depicts a nude woman dancing, her body semi–geometric, and although you can not vividly see the all of the womans body parts, it is not difficult to know that she is supposed to be depicted as naked. A completely naked figure, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Summer is always a busy tourist season for resorts like mountains or grand canyon in my hometown, Linyi, Shandong Province. And Grand Canyon of Yishui is a great magnet for tourists, so I can guarantee that it will let the person's mind and body dulcify. • 14. Persuasive Essay On Conspiracy Theories The Internet has played a large role in my interest in conspiracy theories. Although I definitely do not believe all of them, they are fun to look into and are good tools for procrastination. Falling deeper into the hole that is Wikipedia, I spent a large amount of my free time "researching" them. It got to the point where I had to force myself to actually work on homework instead. However, I am not one of those crazy conspiracy theorists; I am only interested in ones that seem legit. All interesting conspiracy theories have similar qualities. A majority of them involve the government or celebrities. And depending on the theory, they are believable. My personal favorites all happen to involve the government, some classics included. It is said that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by Bush to purposely start a war with Afghanistan. Some survivors recall that they heard separate explosions at the time of the attacks, which has led people to believe that there were pre–planted explosives inside the Twin Towers. It is a well known fact that the towers collapsed at one point, but this is seen as suspicious to many conspiracy theorists. A common known phrase among believers is "jet fuel can't melt steel beams." Another widely believed theory is that the Royal Family killed Princess Diana. There are a few versions, one of which is that they killed her to prevent her from exposing the Family for being awful and corrupt. The other is where she was killed for loving a man of color, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Persuasive Essay On Success Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages itsaudience to think differently about wanting to be successful and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative, and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and are willing to work for it. • 16. Persuasive Essay On Coffee Coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide. Eighty–three percent of Americans drink coffee daily, and some more than one cup. Coffee is made by the grinding of roasted coffee seeds, also known as coffee beans, adding hot water allowing it to flow through the coffee grinds. Coffee was traditionally introduced as an energy booster to get people through the day. Today, coffee is also a social mechanism where people feel required to drink it every day. The aspect that makes coffee so addictive is the caffeine. Caffeine is not addictive the way meth or cocaine is but regular use of caffeine as a stimulate, can cause mild physical dependence. However, coffee is addicting it does allow many health benefits. Coffee can reduce the risk of type two diabetes and increase the possibility of preventing oral cancers. But like all good things, drinking coffee should not be abused, like coach Phil from Kicking & Screaming, who throughout the main part of the movie, chugged cups after cups of cappuccinos. Drinking a large amount of coffee does pose several cons. A con of coffee is an increase in anxiety, and have a negative effect on prescribed medicine. Although many only use coffees to boost energy early in the morning, this drink can be used to help with problems. Coffee can reduce the risk of type two diabetes, which is important when living in the world today. • 17. Persuasive Essay About Running Running is a physically demanding sport. If you are looking for a way to get in shape, then you should consider running. Running uses every muscle in your body because you are engaging every aspect of yourself in the activity. Also, running is a great way to incorporate more cardio into your workout. Running is not just about getting in shape and staying shape; but running involves many fun activities and sports. Some sports that involve running are track and cross country. If you are a competitive individual, then you should consider track or cross country. If you are a more laid back individual, then you can take into consideration mud runs or glow/color runs. Those events are always fun, and you get dirty while participating in the event. Running is a good way to get in shape and have fun doing so, but before you begin running, you need to know the basics of how to begin. The first step to begin running is to start with runs/walks. You will start by adding one minute of running for every four minutes ofwalking. Gradually increase your running time, so that eventually you will be running for twice the amount of time that you spend walking. Also, interval running is a good "beginners" workout. You start by jogging for one minute, then walking for one minute, then you should increase the time by one minute each time until you are running for five minutes and walking for five minutes. The technique you choose should be most comfortable to you. However, you need to be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Persuasive Essay About Food Bank Food banks are a terrible solution to a terrible issue. Hunger is one of the biggest issues the human race experiences. One in nine people in the world, or 795 million people, out of the 7.4 billion people go hungry every day because they do not have enough to eat. Every 10 seconds, a child dies from hunger–related diseases (The Hunger Project, 2017). The way lots of organizations try to help these people in need are through food banks. A food bank is a non–profit, charitable organization that distributes to those who have difficulty purchasing enough food to avoid hunger. Food banks are inefficient in aspects of time, money, and effort because so much more can be done through donations of money, not non–perishable foods and items. ...show more content... Another issue arises though, it needs to be transported from the warehouse to the appropriate drop–off place, which is most likely in a high–density residential area, not an industrial area. The time it takes for all this to happen is simply too much and non–efficient. We are in an era where time is valuable. Everyone is so busy with their lives, be it for work, school, family, or hobbies, it is unnecessary to spend all this time just to donate something that not even the buyer would eat. To show an example, let's say a donator's name is David. David works a 9–5 job which pays $20 per hour and has three kids, two of which have swimming practice after school. David picks up his kids at 5:30, and goes home right in time for dinner. On his dinner table, he has high quality foods that are packed with nutrients. David remembers there's a food drive raffle near his workplace that is looking for donations for a chance to win a grand prize. David now has to go out of his way to go to a grocery store to buy non–perishable foods. Instead of wasting his time going, he can go to the food bank and simply donate money. If David was planning on spending $5 and 45 minutes for the whole process, from purchasing the items to dropping them off, he actually spent $20 plus a few extra dollars for gas. Instead of wasting 45 minutes of his time to get $5 worth of food, he could easily have donated $25, which go a long way. This will be explained later, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Persuasive Essay On Internet Censorship Information is one of the most powerful tools in the world, even going so far as to make or break countries. There is a constant effort to censor information that puts people or countries in a negative light. This makes the citizens of those countries blind to the truths of the government turning them into sheep. The people shouldn't be sheep because we need them to shape the future. This bill has the sole purpose of loosening internet censorship because it eliminates free will, causes people to have a dangerous amount of patriotism and ultimately makes the internet a more dangerous place than it is. Censorship of the internet keeps people from important knowledge thereby believing that everything on the internet is true. A study was conducted to look into a handful of billionaires who run tech companies in 24 hours and found "more than 137 examples of Silicon Valley companies brazenly banning users, censoring content and manipulating search results to undermine the democratization of information on the web." (PR Newswire). The people with money abuse internet censorship in order to further their own agenda with the support of the greedy. They completely ignore that the internet is supposed to be a resource for everyone. Internet censorship makes countries rot because "When you have strict censorship of the internet, young students cannot receive a full education. Their view of the world is imbalanced. There can be no true discussion of the issues." (Ai WeiWei). The Futures of countries become full of ignorance to the reality of the world. The only truly successful internet censorship is China's system and while it is impressive to maintain it "China employs 2 million to monitor websites" (YaleGlobal Online). This is an unreasonable amount to employ for any country, while feasible for the US it would cost us one of the biggest resources in the world. This lack of free will causes citizens to have an unhealthy amount of patriotism because of the lack of any knowledge of major screw ups as a country. Citizens show a disturbing amount of patriotism which, while patriotism is good, too much is not caused by people not knowing the bads of their country. China, again as an example, have pushed censorship to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change Climate Change Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth. Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun shining towards me. Human activities Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 22. Health Care Persuasive Essay When it comes to our health, a good healthcare plan is a very important subject for all individuals. Some even argue that it is a basic right to have one. Bernie Sanders stated, "Healthcare must be recognized as a right, not a privilege. Every man, woman, and child in our country should be able to access the health care they need regardless of their income..." ("Issues: Medicare for All"). However, reality tells us a whole different story. America is one of the most developed countries in the world with some of the best medical care. Yet, how can the people enjoy the benefits when it is almost unaffordable to most. People are afraid to fall sick just because they are afraid of how much it would cost. However, sometimes a doctor or hospital visit is unavoidable. In most cases, it comes at a great price, especially to the middle class and the elderly. Wealthy individuals are likely to reap the benefits of having an expensive healthcare plan, while the rest may suffer from the unimaginable cost of treatments, or even worse, live a risky life without insurance. An effective solution to this problem would be a Universal Healthcare System. This would ensure that all people have equal and affordable health coverage, centralized healthcare records for all individuals which will help easy diagnosis by doctors and reduce the intensive labor costs of medical billing. Moreover, it may boost the economy by freeing business from providing expensive healthcare benefits to workers. According to World Health Organization, "Universal Health Coverage means that all people and communities can use the promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative health services they need, of sufficient quality to be effective, while also ensuring that the use of these services does not expose the user to financial hardship". (WHO.int) By doing so, we give the people the opportunity to be equal to the rest of the society. Since the cost of a healthcare plan is beyond most people's budget in the United States, the average person spends more money on healthcare insurance than groceries and housing together. This condition leads many to have no coverage at all. In fact, there are over 45 million uninsured residents in the U.S. in it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
