4. About us
Thomas and Company Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly Thomas and Associates) is the Construction Division of Thomasco
Group of Companies. Thomas and Company has a rich history of about three decades in the construction
industry in India and is one of the most respected medium sized construction service providers in North India.
We have successfully completed a number of projects, which include Institutional Buildings, Corporate Office
Complexes, Industrial Buildings, Schools, Religious buildings, Hotels etc.
We at Thomas and Company have a simple motto “We build to last” and rigorously adhering to this motto
has helped us develop an enviable reputation in the construction industry for carrying out works of exceptional
quality. This reputation is provided credence by our association with some of the leading architects and
structural consultants of India such as Kanvinde Rai Chaudhary, Ashok B Lall, Gherzi Eastern Ltd, TEAM,
Livin System, Ranjit John, Morphogenesis, RRA, SSA, ATKV Consultants, Tandon Consultants, VINTECH
etc. Our client list is also enviable and include names such as ABB, Catholic Church of India, Deepalaya, JK
group, JCB, Lifelong India, Neolite, NDDB, Rallis India (A TATA Group Company), Samtel, Scindia Vidyalaya,
Sheela group, Shahi Exports, Triage India, Videocon etc. We are registered with the CPWD as a Class 1
contractor and are in the process of getting ISO 9001 - 2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999
certification.
Thomas and Company is managed and directed by a team of highly qualified engineers, led by the founder
Mr. Thomas Mathew (MD). Our management team is a blend of seasoned veterans and highly qualified
young achievers. For the last three decades of our existence we have remained a medium sized construction
firm, however in the new millennia fuelled by innovation and a zest for growth we aspire to transform
ourselves into a infrastructure conglomerate which is both vertically and horizontally integrated. In this quest
we are implementing a host of new technologies and acquiring key resources. We are also in the process of
starting new verticals, which include a sustainable construction firm, a construction management firm, a
construction centric vocational education centre and a real estate wing. These measures would enable to us
to maximise our potential and also enable us to generate new income streams.
We at Thomas and Company are rapidly evolving which is given added thrust by our newly formed in-house
research and development wing. We also develop and administer in-house training and CPD programmes
which helps our employees to improve and develop their core competencies and skill sets.

Key personnel
Mr. Thomas Mathew - Managing Director
Mr. Thomas Mathew is a graduate Civil Engineer with an experience of more than three decades in the
execution of large-scale civil engineering projects both in India and abroad. He worked from 1972 to 1981 in
the Government sector and from 1982 to 1986 in the private sector and in 1987 having acquired construction
centric experience of about two decades Mr. Thomas Mathew founded a proprietary construction firm, which
was called M/s. Thomas and Associates. Under the able leadership of Mr. Thomas Mathew, M/s. Thomas and
Associates managed to grow at a steady pace and in 1997 after having established the credentials of his
proprietary firm he decided to form M/s. Thomas and Company Pvt. Ltd.
Over the last decade Mr. Thomas Mathew has been leading the company from the front and has been
instrumental in transforming Thomas and Co., into a renowned name in the construction industry circles. Mr.
Thomas Mathew is actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the business and takes a personal interest
in visiting construction sites on a regular basis. He is well aware of the needs of the modern construction
industry and keeps himself abreast of the developments in the industry by regularly participating in seminars
and CPD programmes. He has also developed close linkages with the construction centric academic fraternity
and is often relied up for his in-depth knowledge of the construction industry. Mr. Thomas Mathew is a very
accessible individual and the testimonial for this is the long-term personal relationships he has developed with
a number of his clients and employees. Mr. Thomas Mathew supported by his well-qualified and experienced
team is responsible for setting the corporate objectives and strategic policies for the company. His long-term
goal is to transform Thomas and Company from a medium sized construction firm into a large vertically and
horizontally integrated construction conglomerate. For this, he is personally overseeing a rapid process and
system change within the company.

6. Mrs. Baby Thomas - Director (Commercial)
Mrs. Baby Thomas has been involved in the company as a Director since the day of its incorporation and has
been overseeing the companies Commercial department. She completed her graduation from Kerala
University and has also completed MBA with specialisation in Finance and Marketing. She has a deep
understanding of construction processes and an astute grasp of business processes. She has been
instrumental in the transformation of the company’s internal accounting processes and has developed an
ingenious system of site accounting. She is deeply concerned about the health and safety of the company’s
employees and visits construction sites on a regular basis to assess the adherence of the internal health and
safety guidelines. She is also responsible for the children development wing of the company. Out with her
involvement in the company she is also a well renowned social personality and is actively involved with social
organisations like YWCA, Indian Orthodox Christian Womens Association etc.
Dr. Wills Thomas - Executive Director (Project & Corporate Strategy):
Dr. Wills Thomas is at the helm of our projects department and also helps devise the corporate strategy of the
company. Under his aegis the company has also established three new division, its construction management
division called Thomasco Infrasolutions, its educational division called Thomasco Educsolutions and its
hospitality division called Casa Tomasso Hospitality.
Dr. Wills Thomas joined our organisation in the year 2007 after having completed his higher studies from UK.
He completed PhD in Construction Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow, UK (20042007). He has also completed the following academic programmes namely: LLM in Construction Law from
Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK (2005-2007); MSc. in Construction Enterprise Management completed
from Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Dundee, Dundee, UK (2003-2004); Bachelor of Architecture
(1998-2003) completed from B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, India affiliated to
Visvesvaraiya Technological University (VTU). As part of his PhD centric research Dr. Wills Thomas devised a
novel construction process management tools which helps increase productivity on construction projects by
almost 15 percent. Out with his involvement with the company he is also a visiting faculty member at SPA,
Delhi and GGSIP University, Delhi.

7. Mr. Winnie Thomas - Executive Director (Business Development and Marketing)
Mr. Winnie Thomas is at the helm of our business development and marketing department. Under his aegis
the company has established Thomasco Realtsolutions, its real estate wing.
Mr. Winnie Thomas joined our organisation in the year 2012 after having completed his higher studies from
UK. He completed MSc. in Construction Enterprise Management completed from University of Dundee, UK
and Diploma in Real Estate Management and Development from Heriot Watt University, UK and holds a first
degree in Cvil Engineering.
Mr. Arun Gupta – Chief Advisor (Commercial)
Mr. Gupta is head of the commercial advisory committee of the company. He is a Chartered Accountant with
an experience of more than two decades and is on board of a number of major construction companies.
Mr. Satya Prakash Tyagi – Chief General Manager (Engineering/Projects)
Mr. Tyagi is responsible for our Engineering Department. Mr. Tyagi is an engineering graduate with an
experience of more than four decades. He has previously worked with a number of leading construction
companies in India.
Mr. Ashok Kumar Rathore – General Manager (Taxation)
Mr. Rathore is responsible for all Taxation centric issues of the company. He is a commerce graduate with an
experience of more than three decades. He has previously worked with large organisations like Delhi Motors,
Eros Group etc.
Mr. James Thomas – Senior Manager (Finance)
Mr. Thomas is responsible for all our HR and Administration centric issues of the company. He is a commerce
post-graduate with an experience of more than two decades and has been working with us for more than a
decade.

We have developed a patented process management system, which differs from the pyramidal
hierarchical system that is followed in the construction industry. Our system integrates the various
parties involved seamlessly within a loop system, which prevents information asymmetry thus
maximizing the efficacy of the project supply chain. This system was developed in-house by our
team of qualified civil engineers under the aegis of Dr. Wills Thomas (Executive Director) and is
