response area. This position also participates in fire prevention and inspection activities,
equipment and quarter maintenance, and training dealing with all phases of fire
suppression, prevention, inspection, rescue and emergency operation.

·Planned, organized, directed, coordinated, and controlled the activities of a fire
company in the busiest fire district in the City of St. Louis; inspected numerous
occupancies for the fire prevention and code violations.
1986-1999 Battalion Chief, St. Louis City
·Ranked number 3 on Battalion Chief exam; 13 years working in all districts in the
City of St. Louis; Command numerous fires, hazard material operations, rescues,
and emergencies.
1999-2007 Acting Deputy Fire Chief, St. Louis City
·In charge of 1 of 3 shifts on the St. Louis Fire Department; scheduled manpower
and vacation for shift; responded to all major alarms as Incident Commander for
entire city and airport.
