Successfully led all aspects of college Security and Public Safety department including: crime
prevention, emergency services, crisis prevention, risk analysis, fire safety, loss prevention and hiring of
security personnel campus-wide.
Effectively evaluated, planned and executed security measures for 2 annual commencement ceremonies
at the Jacob Javits Center hosting upward of 13,000 students and guests.
Designed and launched a development plan that included personnel development, upgrading
surveillance equipment, revision of policies and procedures, and successful budgeting resulting in the
integration of Public Safety as a crucial division of the business organization.
Efficiently managed an annual department budget of $2 million and a professional security staff of 32,
securing 8 campus buildings. Managed all phases of security for all on-campus events, i.e. college fairs,

Achieved a 30% reduction in annual overtime expenses by upgrading the campus surveillance system
