My Favorite Toy
When I look back to my childhood I try to think of toys that I played that helped my development move along. The one toy that I remember is the
"see and say", a toy that looked like a wheel with multiple pictures, every time I would pull the string it would stop at a picture and make the sound
of the animal shown. This toy helped with assimilation and accommodation. With the increase in technology and knowledge toys have become
much more advanced. As I walked down the toy aisle and played with multiple bright, loud and fun toys, it was hard to choose a specific toy to
research. There was a variety of toys and games; including playing mats with buttons, sing along chairs and bath time fun toys. The toy that stood
out to me the most was the bright beats, dance and moves beat Bo. The fact that it was colorful and shaped like a cute animal caught my eye
quickly. As I played with the toy a pushed multiple buttons it played songs and moved to the beats, just like me. The toy also recited the ABCs and
counted many numbers. The final aspect of the beat Bo is an ability to record your voice and remix it into a fun song; this sealed the deal for me. The
toy is manufactured by Fisher–Price and was rewarded as TOTY 2016 (Toy of the Year). Beat Bo's age recommendation is 9 to 36 months. Fisher
–Price
sells the Beat Bo by having three ways to play; dancing, learning and recording. The dancing and moving way allows babies to get up and move
around. The learning and game way introduces

My Favorite Thing
The first time I wrote a book I was in fourth grade and this was my first project. The teacher gave the class a day to brainstorm about our favorite
thing or things to do. I was so excited when I left school, I told my mom all about it. My mom's first question is "So what's your favorite thing to
do?". At that point I couldn't tell her what was my favorite thing to do because I had too many things I liked to do. Later that day I sat down and
tried to think about what I could write about, what is actually my favorite thing to do. I had thoughts about my friends, pets, favorite color, food, and
more. I went to my sister and asked her what did she think about my project. She talked how much I play with my dolls. She gave me some good
ideas to write my story about. I thought more on it while I was laying under my covers in my bed. It went on to the next day and I still woke up
indecisive. As I got ready for school I kept thinking how come I still can't decide. My teacher at school had asked the class what ideas we came up
with overnight. Everyone raised their hand quickly like a race. Some children started shouting out answers. "Woooow, slow down" says the teacher.
She starts explaining to the class the next step to our project. Which now it was time for our rough drafts to get done. She told the class to write
down what we picked to write our book about. I still didn't pick anything yet so I choosed off the top of my head; Heelys. I was going to write a book

Toy Story Essay Kids
Toy Story shows children:
How to work together as a team.
How to accept each other's differences.
How to be ok with what you have versus what other people have.
The recommended age I found for children to watch this movie is 8+ due to the violence of Sid, so grade age children should be able to have:
"Enjoy being part of a team, group, or club"
"Experience periods of dramatic emotion and impatience and the feeling that everyone is against them and then bounce right back to everything being
just fine"
"Start seeing things from other points of view and incorporate that into even everyday life" (Morin)
In the movie, Toy Story tells the story about Woody and Buzz Lightyear, two opposing friends. Andy is an elementary age boy...show more content...
They are an example of working as a team, which is one of the great age children should have. In the beginning of the movie, they look out for Woody
and the other toys in Andy's bedroom to make sure that Andy doesn't see Woody and the other toys move as Andy is getting ready for his birthday party.
Woody is Andy's original toy. Woody doesn't have any special technology on him, he's just a regular Cowboy with a hat. Buzz Lightyear comes along
with all the bells and whistles and Woody gets really jealous of Buzz. Woody in the movie says to Buzz:
"Why would Andy want you? Look at you! You're a Buzz Lightyear! Any other toy would give up his moving parts just to be you. You've got wings,
you glow in the dark, you talk, your helmet does that...that whoosh thing. You're a Cool Toy. As a matter of fact, you're too cool. I mean
–what chance
does a toy like me have against a Buzz Lightyear action figure. All I can do is this." (IMDB)
Woody and Buzz opposed each other, but when Buzz offers to help Woody he changes his mind.
Woody [from inside the milk crate]: "Listen, Buzz, forget about me. You should get outta here while you can."
Woody: "Buzz! What are you doing? I thought you

My Favorite Toy Essay
Stealing a toy from my preschool classroom is the earliest and most shameful memory that I can recall. Every day, my father was in charge of taking
me to class since my mother had to leave for work early in the morning. In my classroom, there were always so many wonderful toys spread out for the
children to play with. I liked them all, mostly because they weren't mine, which made them extra special. Also, because we had to share the toys and
could never hold onto one for too long, it made them seem even more desirable. Even though I had a lot of my own toys at home, there was one toy in
the classroom that really captured my attention. It was a fuzzy, stuffed cat with a brush and its own clothes. I had always begged my parents for a
real cat, and the answer was always 'NO!' This may not have been a real cat, but to my young mind, the stuffed one looked almost as good. I really
adored that toy but never had a chance to play with it for enough time. Because I was a shy, petite girl, and I get red whenever I want to talk to
someone, I couldn't ask for my turn to play with that beautiful, fuzzy cat. After one frustrating day at school of being unable to play with my favorite
toy, I did something horrible. It was so easy to hide that toy in my backpack and take it home because everybody was busy doing an activity with the
teacher. I left for home completely excited that now I could finally play with my beloved toy.
At home, I ignored all my toys and went running to my room

My Favorite Gift
Do you remember the first time you were truly happy? Filled with joy and hope on what was to come? The first time I experienced this feeling came
on a Christmas Morning when Santa successfully delivered the one present on my reasonably small wish list .
It started as a development of socks, shoes, and sweaters, moving to books and a fashion of corduroy pants my mom seemed to love. As the gifts that I
should be
" Thankful for " came in throughout the years, I took them up to my room, set them aside and began to pray for something other than a decorative
wool cardigan my grandmother would give me. Not sure if it could be considered an Ugly Sweater, I always had to accept the as it was; a piece of
cloth only to be worn as pajamas inside my home. As my friends from school would come back with assortments of japanese erasers, games of mario
kart and star wars for the wii and numerous sets of legos, I decided I was going to take matters into my own hands and ask for an Ipod for next year.
As the seasons changed, I continued to think about my one and only christmas wish. An Ipod, but not Just any Ipod, the ipod shuffle. A new
development of technology that would change the world forever. A gift so special I began to look forward to shocked look on my classmates faces
more than the excitement of the present alone. As christmas had finally arrived, I followed the star of bethlehem that had lead me down stairs to the
presents under the tree. Eyeing a small box, I began to open

Toy Story Analysis
Toy Story may be a film made for children, but it is not about children but rather the toys. The characters in the film confront issues that seem to be
more applicable to the life of an adult. The relationships the toys share with Andy and ultimately with one another resemble relationships within the real
world. The film hints at the fact that children never have to worry about abandonment or relevancy, toys are the ones that have to ponder on this fact of
life. The toys must face reality but they also have a choice in how to deal with them. They have to accept that they will not last because something new
will always make them feel inferior. Although contradictory to the heartwarming storyline,Toy Story brings its viewers to reality with the idea of
things and people being replaceable.
Since they are plain possessions, the lives of the toys are defined by their utility. It is clear to the viewers that he loves his toys, and while playing with
them, Andy uses his imagination extensively. But like other children, it is clear to see that Andy has no trouble putting them aside when he has used
them to their full capacity. For example, when Andy receivedBuzz Lightyear as a present, he flings Woody off his bed onto the floor, making space for
his pristine action figure. Everything that is related to Woody is replaced with things that resemble Buzz Lightyear, from his bedroom's wallpaper to the
bed sheets. Andy's new position is now in the storage chest, along with the other

My Toys In My Life Of A Toy Story
Everyone has that one "Thing" as a kid. This "thing" is something that makes them, them. Sometimes this "thing" will not be anything that anyone
else would notice. It would just be something only for the child to see in their self. Well, my special "thing" have I believed was my toys were
alive. Yes, I know, crazy right? Sure, but it's just the same as believing you have a make believe friend. I wasn't the one to really want to play with
someone invisible, so I put life in my toys. A big influence of my thoughts came from the movieToy Story. Toy Story played a huge roll in my life,
making my childhood a great, adventurous one.
Growing up being the friendly guy I am today, I shockingly didn't have many friends. Matter of fact at a young age I cannot say that I had any
friends, at all. The only person I could consider my friend at the time was my older brother. Although we are seven years apart he still treated me
fairly and I liked that. We still have to think though, that is seven years. Someone that is seven years apart is not a peer. Having a shortage of peers
in my life caused my imagination to take over rapidly. I found friends in my favorite toys. In my young mind, it was the best idea of my life. I could
never be bored and they will never disagree with me, the best friends any boy could ask for. This is before I ever watched the film, Toy Story.
Let's fast forward about a year, I'm around the age of five. I see for the first time, Toy Story. The whole time I am

Disney portrays family to be a big part of the productions that are produced. When I think of family relating back to Disney creations, I perceive
family as something that is respected and adored. As I think of Disney and my childhood, I think of the movie Toy Story. Most people see Toy Story
as a movie about toys that come to life when noone is around, but the meaning is further than just talking toys. When I hear the name Toy Story I
think of the connection the story created between my brother and I. Watching this movie on a daily with my older brother allowed us to gain the ideal
brother and sister bond that was created in the start of Toy Story. The film, Toy Story presents a boy named Andy, who has numerous toys, that come to

My Favorite Toy Essay
When all of us were little children, we have all been playing with toys. They are those objects, which do things to please us, keep us from boredom,
and makes us begging our parents to get more of them. There are millions of them, from some just spinning around, to some having high–tech features,
and to some which don't do anything! As little children, we thought some of the toys were better than the others, and some of them were way worse.
We have to admit, that there was one toy, out of all the 100s of thousands of millions of toys we had, which was the best toy of all. Based on our
opinions, we thought it was the coolest, most impressive, most exceptional, and most awe–inspiring toy of all. We would play with it from the early
morning to very late at night, no matter what, and this toy became our favorite toy. Many of our favorite toys are different, from a 1972 Barbie Doll
to a 2017 WWE Action Figure or even a 1329 piece Millenium Falcon Lego Set. No matter what the toy is, there are things about this toy which
stand out the most, and these make us like them very much. They could have a unique trait/feature, their material could feel very nice, or it's just
that they look beautiful! All in all, we have a toy which pleases us the most, and as a person, I am no different. I would like to mention my favorite
toy, a toy unique but accessible, and one which is very soothing and pleases me, just like how all of your favorite toys pleasure you. My favorite toy
is the pure

Popular Toys Effect On Children
Popular toys have an effect on the media. Take for example, Toy Story a popular childrens movie that featured many toys as protagonist in the
story and see how the movie had an effect on the toys that were being sold. If it was not for the movie, then the Toy Story toys would not have sold
nearly as well as if they were in the movie. According to the article,Social media firestorm awakens toymakers to an absent Rey, it states,ВЁ
Twitter exploded with the hashtag #WheresReyВЁ.In the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens Rey was the leading character in the movie. Fans
who have watched the movie knew this because they went and watched the movie. From the trailers it seemed as if Rey was going to be a small
character in the movie where she actually was the hero that went and saved the day. Exampling from the article stated above, Disney was holding
back on the Rey toys to avoid giving away a key plot point to the fans of the Star Wars movie.

My Favorite Pet Essay
My bunny is soft as a pillow. Her name is Luna, and she's my favorite bunny in the world. She's also so cuddly and cute. Most importantly, she's one
of my top favorite things i like about myself. However, there are a lot of things i would like to share about myself. I would like to share the top three
things I like about myself the most. Which are my favorite pets, favorite things I like to do outdoors/ indoors, and I love to help my friends, family and
last animals. My favorite pets allow me to pick them up and cuddle them, unlike other pets I use to have. My pet Luna is so soft and cuddly. She is
black with a little brown on her. She has brown eyes and loves to be petted; especially, behind her ears. I got her from my friend Cate Linder. When I
pick her up and there is a dog around, she starts kicking and scratching. That is telling me to put her back in her cage. Also, when I leave the door
open she never gets out; unless, I put her harness on and we go on a walk. Luna is the best out of all the other rabbits I use to have because the
other ones never let me pet them. When the cage door is open they always jump out and run away. When I try to pick them up, they always try to
bite me and scratch me. Also, I have a pet dog named Zurie. She is white, black, and has a little black on her. She loves her belly rubs and will do
whatever it takes just to get one. She does tricks for us and will bring a ball so we can play together. She always chases bikes and motorcycles. She

My Favorite Gift
I vividly recall asking my mother why her waistline was steadily expanding. She took my hand, placed it on her stomach, and said, "Meet your
baby sister!" I was six years old and family life had always been focused on me and my needs. Suddenly, I felt uncertain about my future. How
would my life change? Would my new sister and I like each other? My father assured me that I would be a kind, loving brother, but I was not so
sure! Hours after Lauren's birth, on a snowy February day, my dad took me to the hospital to meet her. I insisted on wearing my souvenir Burger
King crown because I liked it, and thought that she'd like it, too! Amid all the fanfare and excitement, somehow there was a special gift from Lauren
to me: a shiny red fire truck! As I opened my gift, I wondered how she could have known that trucks were among my favorite toys (although I didn't
ponder that too long). Daily life quickly changed for me in ways I hadn't imagined. Initially, my big–brother role was mostly that of helpful assistant,
who dutifully gave her a bottle or held her. After I had been assisting with her physical care for some time, I volunteered more meaningful
contributions, such as encouraging her to crawl and walk. To my surprise, I secretly started to enjoy my new role. I was getting unexpected pleasure
from my increasing responsibilities and from my rising family status. No longer was I simply the older brother; now I was also her close friend,
teacher, and coach. Her respect for me made

My Favorite Toys Growing Up
Chapter 1: My Favorite Toys Growing upGrowing up, I went through many phases of toys. One of the first toys I liked were With Nerf Guns. My
uncle bought me a huge gun for my birthday, and I didn 't really use it that much since the gun was as just as tall as me at the time. I went to the
store and saw a lot of guns , so I bought some smaller guns that I could actually hold. At home I would play with my dad and friends and we would
just shoot each other and run around. To this day I don 't play with my guns anymore because I grew out of it and started liking another toy.. My
next phase was a major part of me growing up and it was Pokemon. For Pokemon I was addicted to everything about it, from the show, to the video
games, the cards, and even the books! I started liking Pokemon in first grade when I saw my mom playing it on a Gameboy. In second grade my
parents bought me a DS with Pokemon, and my eyes couldn 't be separated from my DS. Each year I would upgrade to the newest DS, and get the
newest Pokemon versions that would come out. Playing Pokemon led to my next favorite Video Game Consoles, The Xbox and Ps4. I started off
with an Xbox 360 which I got in 6th grade. The games that I mainly played were the sports games Madden and Nba 2k. I had the Xbox until 8th
grade, which then my parents got me the brand new Ps4.Chapter 2: My Neighborhood Twelve years out of my life I have lived in the same house and
neighborhood. In

I am ashamed to have to check yes for this, but I was suspended for four days in the fourth grade. Back then, my parents were still working a lot, so
I stayed at my aunt and uncle's house after school and on most weekends since they live across the street. My cousins were much younger and they
loved to surprise me by hiding things in my bookbag and with other things I would bring over. One day they had found a pocketknife–– the type with
bottle openers, corkscrews, and scissors–– and slipped it into my bookbag, under my books. I had found it one day on the bus when I was going to do
my homework and showed it to a new friend, thinking it was an interesting new thing, then forgot about it. I was curious and naive, so I did not once

Mcdonalds : A Favorite Toy Of My Girl
It is almost 5pm late Saturday afternoon, and I am loading up the van after a trip to BJ's Wholesale Club. I need to get home and put the groceries
away, bathe the kids, and get them to bed so I can pick up the house or work on my online classes. As I buckle the car seats the kids remind me they
are hungry and beg for a trip to McDonalds. My three girls (two at 5 years old, and one at 3 years old) know that McDonald's is currently offering the
My Little Pony dolls in their Happy Meals, MLP happens to be a favorite toy of my girls. I am torn – McDonalds would be easy and fast, the kids
would be happy, and I can sit for a moment and have a coffee while they eat and play, but they just had Papa Gino's a couple nights ago. I do not like the

"Overweight children often have elevated cholesterol levels, which can be a predictor for any number of deadly diseases. Overweight kids are
more likely to have problems with glucose intolerance, and consequently diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is skyrocketing among teens, elevated blood
pressure is nine times more likely to occur among obese kids. Sleep apnea is found in one in ten obese children, bone problems are more common in
obese kids. Most importantly an obese young person is much more likely to become an obese adult" (PhD Campbell and MD II Campbell). In
addition to the health problems there are many negative emotional effects on overweight children. They are often teased by peers and have issues with
self–esteem. Young children do not have enough knowledge and information onnutrition to make the correct choices themselves, therefore, they rely on
their parents to help them.
Parents need to be responsible for establishing healthy eating habits for their children. It is the responsibility of the parents to understand the causes of
obesity and how to prevent it. Parents do not hesitate to protect their children from many of life's dangers and to keep them safe and healthy. For
example, there are many children that would probably be very happy to skip routine dentist appointments, but most responsible parents insist, whether
the child likes it or not, that they

Essay On My Favourite Birthday Gift
It was my seventh birthday and also one of the best days of my entire life. I had just opened up the last of my presents and was thanking my family
for all the gifts they had given me for my birthday. When I heard a bark and turned around to see my dad holding what would be my favorite birthday
present that I ever received. It was my first dog, an Irish Setter named Scarlet.
Scarlet was a very playful and stubborn puppy. She loved to run and chase anything that would move, including her tail and the neighbor's cat.
Although, a very playful and stubborn dog Scarlet was undoubtedly a very intelligent animal as well. She was completely house trained in under a
week and learned how to play fetch in two weeks. Occasionally of course her playfulness turned our games of fetch into games of me chasing her
around the yard trying to get the tennis ball back.
It was also a great responsibility that my parents entrusted me to take care of. I had to feed her, keep her groomed, and of course teach her the
correct way to act. My dad taught me that you always make sure that your dog is fed, before you feed yourself. This lesson I didn't figure out to later

again in her life. Then of course I taught her to play fetch. Scarlet took to playing fetch very quickly. Well, if I am being completely honest she took

My Favorite Hobby Of Reading
I am an avid reader and reading has been my favorite hobby for a great deal of my life. This is probably because my parents value literacy and they
have almost always encouraged me to read. The exceptions being when I am supposed to be doing something else, such as completing homework
or sleeping. When I was young, they read all sorts of picture books to me, especially those by Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle. When my father read Green
Eggs and Ham to me, he altered the words when he read it to me, replacing "I do not like that Sam–I–am" with "I do love that Sam–I–am." Later, when
I was in first grade, I read Magic Tree House #1: Dinosaurs Before Dark while on an indoor break. I found it on a bookshelf and decided to read it,
which took me a while since it was the first non–picture book that I had read on my own. But I eventually managed to finish it and I felt really proud
of myself. I enjoyed the book and the magic involved fascinated me. I later read a couple more Magic Tree House books from the shelf and asked my
parents to get the first twenty–eight when we saw them on sale at BJs (the series started in 1992 and they were selling fourteen–book boxed sets). The
Magic Tree House series introduced me to the concept of magic, the impossible kind that is not just a trick. As the first proper fantasy book that I
ever read, Dinosaurs Before Dark opened the gateway to the fantasy genre for me. After I read it, my parents saw my interest in fantasy novels and
introduced me to the Harry

My Favorite Toy

  • 1. My Favorite Toy When I look back to my childhood I try to think of toys that I played that helped my development move along. The one toy that I remember is the "see and say", a toy that looked like a wheel with multiple pictures, every time I would pull the string it would stop at a picture and make the sound of the animal shown. This toy helped with assimilation and accommodation. With the increase in technology and knowledge toys have become much more advanced. As I walked down the toy aisle and played with multiple bright, loud and fun toys, it was hard to choose a specific toy to research. There was a variety of toys and games; including playing mats with buttons, sing along chairs and bath time fun toys. The toy that stood out to me the most was the bright beats, dance and moves beat Bo. The fact that it was colorful and shaped like a cute animal caught my eye quickly. As I played with the toy a pushed multiple buttons it played songs and moved to the beats, just like me. The toy also recited the ABCs and counted many numbers. The final aspect of the beat Bo is an ability to record your voice and remix it into a fun song; this sealed the deal for me. The toy is manufactured by Fisher–Price and was rewarded as TOTY 2016 (Toy of the Year). Beat Bo's age recommendation is 9 to 36 months. Fisher –Price sells the Beat Bo by having three ways to play; dancing, learning and recording. The dancing and moving way allows babies to get up and move around. The learning and game way introduces Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Favorite Thing The first time I wrote a book I was in fourth grade and this was my first project. The teacher gave the class a day to brainstorm about our favorite thing or things to do. I was so excited when I left school, I told my mom all about it. My mom's first question is "So what's your favorite thing to do?". At that point I couldn't tell her what was my favorite thing to do because I had too many things I liked to do. Later that day I sat down and tried to think about what I could write about, what is actually my favorite thing to do. I had thoughts about my friends, pets, favorite color, food, and more. I went to my sister and asked her what did she think about my project. She talked how much I play with my dolls. She gave me some good ideas to write my story about. I thought more on it while I was laying under my covers in my bed. It went on to the next day and I still woke up indecisive. As I got ready for school I kept thinking how come I still can't decide. My teacher at school had asked the class what ideas we came up with overnight. Everyone raised their hand quickly like a race. Some children started shouting out answers. "Woooow, slow down" says the teacher. She starts explaining to the class the next step to our project. Which now it was time for our rough drafts to get done. She told the class to write down what we picked to write our book about. I still didn't pick anything yet so I choosed off the top of my head; Heelys. I was going to write a book on my first Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Toy Story Essay Kids Toy Story shows children: How to work together as a team. How to accept each other's differences. How to be ok with what you have versus what other people have. The recommended age I found for children to watch this movie is 8+ due to the violence of Sid, so grade age children should be able to have: "Enjoy being part of a team, group, or club" "Experience periods of dramatic emotion and impatience and the feeling that everyone is against them and then bounce right back to everything being just fine" "Start seeing things from other points of view and incorporate that into even everyday life" (Morin) In the movie, Toy Story tells the story about Woody and Buzz Lightyear, two opposing friends. Andy is an elementary age boy...show more content... They are an example of working as a team, which is one of the great age children should have. In the beginning of the movie, they look out for Woody and the other toys in Andy's bedroom to make sure that Andy doesn't see Woody and the other toys move as Andy is getting ready for his birthday party. Woody is Andy's original toy. Woody doesn't have any special technology on him, he's just a regular Cowboy with a hat. Buzz Lightyear comes along with all the bells and whistles and Woody gets really jealous of Buzz. Woody in the movie says to Buzz: "Why would Andy want you? Look at you! You're a Buzz Lightyear! Any other toy would give up his moving parts just to be you. You've got wings, you glow in the dark, you talk, your helmet does that...that whoosh thing. You're a Cool Toy. As a matter of fact, you're too cool. I mean –what chance does a toy like me have against a Buzz Lightyear action figure. All I can do is this." (IMDB) Woody and Buzz opposed each other, but when Buzz offers to help Woody he changes his mind. Woody [from inside the milk crate]: "Listen, Buzz, forget about me. You should get outta here while you can."

  • 5. My Favorite Toy Essay Stealing a toy from my preschool classroom is the earliest and most shameful memory that I can recall. Every day, my father was in charge of taking me to class since my mother had to leave for work early in the morning. In my classroom, there were always so many wonderful toys spread out for the children to play with. I liked them all, mostly because they weren't mine, which made them extra special. Also, because we had to share the toys and could never hold onto one for too long, it made them seem even more desirable. Even though I had a lot of my own toys at home, there was one toy in the classroom that really captured my attention. It was a fuzzy, stuffed cat with a brush and its own clothes. I had always begged my parents for a real cat, and the answer was always 'NO!' This may not have been a real cat, but to my young mind, the stuffed one looked almost as good. I really adored that toy but never had a chance to play with it for enough time. Because I was a shy, petite girl, and I get red whenever I want to talk to someone, I couldn't ask for my turn to play with that beautiful, fuzzy cat. After one frustrating day at school of being unable to play with my favorite toy, I did something horrible. It was so easy to hide that toy in my backpack and take it home because everybody was busy doing an activity with the teacher. I left for home completely excited that now I could finally play with my beloved toy. At home, I ignored all my toys and went running to my room Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Favorite Gift Do you remember the first time you were truly happy? Filled with joy and hope on what was to come? The first time I experienced this feeling came on a Christmas Morning when Santa successfully delivered the one present on my reasonably small wish list . It started as a development of socks, shoes, and sweaters, moving to books and a fashion of corduroy pants my mom seemed to love. As the gifts that I should be " Thankful for " came in throughout the years, I took them up to my room, set them aside and began to pray for something other than a decorative wool cardigan my grandmother would give me. Not sure if it could be considered an Ugly Sweater, I always had to accept the as it was; a piece of cloth only to be worn as pajamas inside my home. As my friends from school would come back with assortments of japanese erasers, games of mario kart and star wars for the wii and numerous sets of legos, I decided I was going to take matters into my own hands and ask for an Ipod for next year. As the seasons changed, I continued to think about my one and only christmas wish. An Ipod, but not Just any Ipod, the ipod shuffle. A new development of technology that would change the world forever. A gift so special I began to look forward to shocked look on my classmates faces more than the excitement of the present alone. As christmas had finally arrived, I followed the star of bethlehem that had lead me down stairs to the presents under the tree. Eyeing a small box, I began to open Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Toy Story Analysis Toy Story may be a film made for children, but it is not about children but rather the toys. The characters in the film confront issues that seem to be more applicable to the life of an adult. The relationships the toys share with Andy and ultimately with one another resemble relationships within the real world. The film hints at the fact that children never have to worry about abandonment or relevancy, toys are the ones that have to ponder on this fact of life. The toys must face reality but they also have a choice in how to deal with them. They have to accept that they will not last because something new will always make them feel inferior. Although contradictory to the heartwarming storyline,Toy Story brings its viewers to reality with the idea of things and people being replaceable. Since they are plain possessions, the lives of the toys are defined by their utility. It is clear to the viewers that he loves his toys, and while playing with them, Andy uses his imagination extensively. But like other children, it is clear to see that Andy has no trouble putting them aside when he has used them to their full capacity. For example, when Andy receivedBuzz Lightyear as a present, he flings Woody off his bed onto the floor, making space for his pristine action figure. Everything that is related to Woody is replaced with things that resemble Buzz Lightyear, from his bedroom's wallpaper to the bed sheets. Andy's new position is now in the storage chest, along with the other Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Toys In My Life Of A Toy Story Everyone has that one "Thing" as a kid. This "thing" is something that makes them, them. Sometimes this "thing" will not be anything that anyone else would notice. It would just be something only for the child to see in their self. Well, my special "thing" have I believed was my toys were alive. Yes, I know, crazy right? Sure, but it's just the same as believing you have a make believe friend. I wasn't the one to really want to play with someone invisible, so I put life in my toys. A big influence of my thoughts came from the movieToy Story. Toy Story played a huge roll in my life, making my childhood a great, adventurous one. Growing up being the friendly guy I am today, I shockingly didn't have many friends. Matter of fact at a young age I cannot say that I had any friends, at all. The only person I could consider my friend at the time was my older brother. Although we are seven years apart he still treated me fairly and I liked that. We still have to think though, that is seven years. Someone that is seven years apart is not a peer. Having a shortage of peers in my life caused my imagination to take over rapidly. I found friends in my favorite toys. In my young mind, it was the best idea of my life. I could never be bored and they will never disagree with me, the best friends any boy could ask for. This is before I ever watched the film, Toy Story. Let's fast forward about a year, I'm around the age of five. I see for the first time, Toy Story. The whole time I am Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Childhood Toys Essay Childhood toys Do you know that feeling of happiness you get when your favourite tv show came on.as a kid this happiness came from the tv show Thomas the tank engine I had all the trains and heaps of different types of train tracks. when ever the show came on and I was in another room I would run like mad and then plonk myself onto the sofa and start singing along to the theme tune.i remember spending long hours building huge tracks going every which way with tunnels and bridges along Most of the train lines.when we made the long distance move to Australia we lost half of my trains with a few other items.when I found out that a few of my favourite trains where among the few things that was lost i was heart broken but when my mum offered to replace them I cheered up. when I was about five we brought an orange cat Im still not sure why but I got to name him.of course I decided to name him after a character from Thomas the tank engine.i ended up calling him Henry...show more content... • 10. Disney portrays family to be a big part of the productions that are produced. When I think of family relating back to Disney creations, I perceive family as something that is respected and adored. As I think of Disney and my childhood, I think of the movie Toy Story. Most people see Toy Story as a movie about toys that come to life when noone is around, but the meaning is further than just talking toys. When I hear the name Toy Story I think of the connection the story created between my brother and I. Watching this movie on a daily with my older brother allowed us to gain the ideal brother and sister bond that was created in the start of Toy Story. The film, Toy Story presents a boy named Andy, who has numerous toys, that come to life secretly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Favorite Toy Essay When all of us were little children, we have all been playing with toys. They are those objects, which do things to please us, keep us from boredom, and makes us begging our parents to get more of them. There are millions of them, from some just spinning around, to some having high–tech features, and to some which don't do anything! As little children, we thought some of the toys were better than the others, and some of them were way worse. We have to admit, that there was one toy, out of all the 100s of thousands of millions of toys we had, which was the best toy of all. Based on our opinions, we thought it was the coolest, most impressive, most exceptional, and most awe–inspiring toy of all. We would play with it from the early morning to very late at night, no matter what, and this toy became our favorite toy. Many of our favorite toys are different, from a 1972 Barbie Doll to a 2017 WWE Action Figure or even a 1329 piece Millenium Falcon Lego Set. No matter what the toy is, there are things about this toy which stand out the most, and these make us like them very much. They could have a unique trait/feature, their material could feel very nice, or it's just that they look beautiful! All in all, we have a toy which pleases us the most, and as a person, I am no different. I would like to mention my favorite toy, a toy unique but accessible, and one which is very soothing and pleases me, just like how all of your favorite toys pleasure you. My favorite toy is the pure Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Popular Toys Effect On Children Popular toys have an effect on the media. Take for example, Toy Story a popular childrens movie that featured many toys as protagonist in the story and see how the movie had an effect on the toys that were being sold. If it was not for the movie, then the Toy Story toys would not have sold nearly as well as if they were in the movie. According to the article,Social media firestorm awakens toymakers to an absent Rey, it states,ВЁ Twitter exploded with the hashtag #WheresReyВЁ.In the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens Rey was the leading character in the movie. Fans who have watched the movie knew this because they went and watched the movie. From the trailers it seemed as if Rey was going to be a small character in the movie where she actually was the hero that went and saved the day. Exampling from the article stated above, Disney was holding back on the Rey toys to avoid giving away a key plot point to the fans of the Star Wars movie. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Favorite Pet Essay My bunny is soft as a pillow. Her name is Luna, and she's my favorite bunny in the world. She's also so cuddly and cute. Most importantly, she's one of my top favorite things i like about myself. However, there are a lot of things i would like to share about myself. I would like to share the top three things I like about myself the most. Which are my favorite pets, favorite things I like to do outdoors/ indoors, and I love to help my friends, family and last animals. My favorite pets allow me to pick them up and cuddle them, unlike other pets I use to have. My pet Luna is so soft and cuddly. She is black with a little brown on her. She has brown eyes and loves to be petted; especially, behind her ears. I got her from my friend Cate Linder. When I pick her up and there is a dog around, she starts kicking and scratching. That is telling me to put her back in her cage. Also, when I leave the door open she never gets out; unless, I put her harness on and we go on a walk. Luna is the best out of all the other rabbits I use to have because the other ones never let me pet them. When the cage door is open they always jump out and run away. When I try to pick them up, they always try to bite me and scratch me. Also, I have a pet dog named Zurie. She is white, black, and has a little black on her. She loves her belly rubs and will do whatever it takes just to get one. She does tricks for us and will bring a ball so we can play together. She always chases bikes and motorcycles. • 14. My Favorite Gift I vividly recall asking my mother why her waistline was steadily expanding. She took my hand, placed it on her stomach, and said, "Meet your baby sister!" I was six years old and family life had always been focused on me and my needs. Suddenly, I felt uncertain about my future. How would my life change? Would my new sister and I like each other? My father assured me that I would be a kind, loving brother, but I was not so sure! Hours after Lauren's birth, on a snowy February day, my dad took me to the hospital to meet her. I insisted on wearing my souvenir Burger King crown because I liked it, and thought that she'd like it, too! Amid all the fanfare and excitement, somehow there was a special gift from Lauren to me: a shiny red fire truck! As I opened my gift, I wondered how she could have known that trucks were among my favorite toys (although I didn't ponder that too long). Daily life quickly changed for me in ways I hadn't imagined. Initially, my big–brother role was mostly that of helpful assistant, who dutifully gave her a bottle or held her. After I had been assisting with her physical care for some time, I volunteered more meaningful contributions, such as encouraging her to crawl and walk. To my surprise, I secretly started to enjoy my new role. I was getting unexpected pleasure from my increasing responsibilities and from my rising family status. No longer was I simply the older brother; now I was also her close friend, teacher, and coach. Her respect for me made Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Favorite Toys Growing Up Chapter 1: My Favorite Toys Growing upGrowing up, I went through many phases of toys. One of the first toys I liked were With Nerf Guns. My uncle bought me a huge gun for my birthday, and I didn 't really use it that much since the gun was as just as tall as me at the time. I went to the store and saw a lot of guns , so I bought some smaller guns that I could actually hold. At home I would play with my dad and friends and we would just shoot each other and run around. To this day I don 't play with my guns anymore because I grew out of it and started liking another toy.. My next phase was a major part of me growing up and it was Pokemon. For Pokemon I was addicted to everything about it, from the show, to the video games, the cards, and even the books! I started liking Pokemon in first grade when I saw my mom playing it on a Gameboy. In second grade my parents bought me a DS with Pokemon, and my eyes couldn 't be separated from my DS. Each year I would upgrade to the newest DS, and get the newest Pokemon versions that would come out. Playing Pokemon led to my next favorite Video Game Consoles, The Xbox and Ps4. I started off with an Xbox 360 which I got in 6th grade. The games that I mainly played were the sports games Madden and Nba 2k. I had the Xbox until 8th grade, which then my parents got me the brand new Ps4.Chapter 2: My Neighborhood Twelve years out of my life I have lived in the same house and neighborhood. • 16. Pocketknife Research Paper I am ashamed to have to check yes for this, but I was suspended for four days in the fourth grade. Back then, my parents were still working a lot, so I stayed at my aunt and uncle's house after school and on most weekends since they live across the street. My cousins were much younger and they loved to surprise me by hiding things in my bookbag and with other things I would bring over. One day they had found a pocketknife–– the type with bottle openers, corkscrews, and scissors–– and slipped it into my bookbag, under my books. I had found it one day on the bus when I was going to do my homework and showed it to a new friend, thinking it was an interesting new thing, then forgot about it. I was curious and naive, so I did not once think of it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Mcdonalds : A Favorite Toy Of My Girl It is almost 5pm late Saturday afternoon, and I am loading up the van after a trip to BJ's Wholesale Club. I need to get home and put the groceries away, bathe the kids, and get them to bed so I can pick up the house or work on my online classes. As I buckle the car seats the kids remind me they are hungry and beg for a trip to McDonalds. My three girls (two at 5 years old, and one at 3 years old) know that McDonald's is currently offering the My Little Pony dolls in their Happy Meals, MLP happens to be a favorite toy of my girls. I am torn – McDonalds would be easy and fast, the kids would be happy, and I can sit for a moment and have a coffee while they eat and play, but they just had Papa Gino's a couple nights ago. I do not like the ...show more content... "Overweight children often have elevated cholesterol levels, which can be a predictor for any number of deadly diseases. Overweight kids are more likely to have problems with glucose intolerance, and consequently diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is skyrocketing among teens, elevated blood pressure is nine times more likely to occur among obese kids. Sleep apnea is found in one in ten obese children, bone problems are more common in obese kids. Most importantly an obese young person is much more likely to become an obese adult" (PhD Campbell and MD II Campbell). In addition to the health problems there are many negative emotional effects on overweight children. They are often teased by peers and have issues with self–esteem. Young children do not have enough knowledge and information onnutrition to make the correct choices themselves, therefore, they rely on their parents to help them. Parents need to be responsible for establishing healthy eating habits for their children. It is the responsibility of the parents to understand the causes of obesity and how to prevent it. Parents do not hesitate to protect their children from many of life's dangers and to keep them safe and healthy. For example, there are many children that would probably be very happy to skip routine dentist appointments, but most responsible parents insist, whether the child likes it or not, that they Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 19. Essay On My Favourite Birthday Gift It was my seventh birthday and also one of the best days of my entire life. I had just opened up the last of my presents and was thanking my family for all the gifts they had given me for my birthday. When I heard a bark and turned around to see my dad holding what would be my favorite birthday present that I ever received. She was completely house trained in under a week and learned how to play fetch in two weeks. Occasionally of course her playfulness turned our games of fetch into games of me chasing her around the yard trying to get the tennis ball back. It was also a great responsibility that my parents entrusted me to take care of. I had to feed her, keep her groomed, and of course teach her the correct way to act. My dad taught me that you always make sure that your dog is fed, before you feed yourself. This lesson I didn't figure out to later in life was meant for not only my...show more content... The second thing I had to teach her was not to chew up my mom's stuffed bears. She wouldn't bother them unless she was home alone. So, the third day I came home from school and she had the bears chewed up, I spanked her like a mother spanks her child. Scarlet never chewed another bear again in her life. Then of course I taught her to play fetch. Scarlet took to playing fetch very quickly. Well, if I am being completely honest she took to playing make human chase dog to get ball back very quickly. • 20. My Favorite Hobby Of Reading I am an avid reader and reading has been my favorite hobby for a great deal of my life. This is probably because my parents value literacy and they have almost always encouraged me to read. The exceptions being when I am supposed to be doing something else, such as completing homework or sleeping. When I was young, they read all sorts of picture books to me, especially those by Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle. When my father read Green Eggs and Ham to me, he altered the words when he read it to me, replacing "I do not like that Sam–I–am" with "I do love that Sam–I–am." Later, when I was in first grade, I read Magic Tree House #1: Dinosaurs Before Dark while on an indoor break. I found it on a bookshelf and decided to read it, which took me a while since it was the first non–picture book that I had read on my own. But I eventually managed to finish it and I felt really proud of myself. I enjoyed the book and the magic involved fascinated me. I later read a couple more Magic Tree House books from the shelf and asked my parents to get the first twenty–eight when we saw them on sale at BJs (the series started in 1992 and they were selling fourteen–book boxed sets). The Magic Tree House series introduced me to the concept of magic, the impossible kind that is not just a trick. As the first proper fantasy book that I ever read, Dinosaurs Before Dark opened the gateway to the fantasy genre for me. After I read it, my parents saw my interest in fantasy novels and introduced me to the Harry Get more content on HelpWriting.net
