Why gun control won't solve any problems Guns have been around since the 1300s, from the muskets to the very high–tech guns we have today. Today
guns are used for sports, like hunting and competition and also guns are used in self–defense in the protection of ourselves and families and others. The
military uses guns and various other tactics to protect and fight for our country, also guns are used in law enforcement such as the police. But with these
guns comes hostility from people when shootings and related events that contain guns happen in the U.S. The controversy over gun control has been

The main part that allows us to keep our guns is the "keep" part of this, this allows us to keep our firearms. If this right is taken away from us, it would
bring chaos throughout America. A lot of people would be in an uproar about this happening. The number of people who own guns within the U.S,
"in 2016 was between 36% and 49% of the U.S."(Agrestic 10). That's almost half of the U.S, and that would be almost impossible to do and if the
government tried it would take probably till the end of time to take all of them away from the people. There are "Roughly 371 million firearms that
were owned by U.S civilians and domestic law enforcement in 2014"(Agresti 7) taking that many guns away would be basically impossible to do.

Thesis For Gun Control Essay
THESIS STATEMENT: Implementing stricter gun control laws will only effect law abiding citizens, stricter punishments will affect those that do not
abide by the law.
My first resource is comes from a book titled, Evaluating Gun Policy. This book was created by a complex variety of both supporters, activists, and
national statics, all pertaining to current Gun Control Laws, potential law amendments, and the opinions of men and women who are both for and
against firearms and firearm safety. It's a compilation of Prevalence, Policy, Restrictions, and potential policy changes (Evaluating Gun Policy, 2003).
Evaluating Gun Policy is not a bias source. Each chapter is filled with facts that pertain to the research conducted by the many contributors. This is
one of the reasons I find this resource so very valuable. The information is also frequently cited because it is a plethora of outside resources, this
allows me the ability to explore those resources for more information pertaining to my topic.

Not only do they discuss the pro's, con's, and proposed amendments to laws pertaining to gun control issues, but they also show caparisons between
other countries that have enforced stricter gun control laws. Australia for example, is one country that has implemented a law that forced their citizens

The media talks about it. People start protests over it. The newly elected president already has his plans on its future in the United States. It's the
controversial issue on whether or not guns are safe for the United States. Pro gun control activists believe putting restrictions on guns would benefit the
country tremendously. However, the anti–gun control people do not want the government taking over their second amendment right. Many believe that
gun legislation should be put into place to prevent crime, while others believe that putting laws on guns interferes with citizens' constitutional second

Teens are not "strong" enough. I always tell my sister that if she is not strong enough to control herself, she will never be strong enough to control
