3. DMX-512
DMX-512 is the protocol for
lights. If you buy a DMX to USB
adapter (see picture) then you
can run lights straight from you
laptop rather than through a
giant lighting board.

4. WHY WOULD YOU EVER CHANGE THE ADDRESS?
A circuit/channel is permanent.
If you have a star curtain on
Channel 152 and you want to move
it around then you can change the
address without changing the
physical location of the light. This
will free up other channels for other
lights. Or you can have all your star
curtain channels conveniently
grouped together.
LED lights can be ran multiple lights
on one channel. In Dennis Flyer
Theatre, we have out 8 LED lights
connected to channels 109+110.

50° = angle
45° is the main lighting angle
(we'll discuss angle of lights and
3-point lighting in Class 4)
A = light spot
#20 and #22 - dimmer
Circle 4 and Circle 5 = circuit
