Main asks of decision:
To endorse the draft updated menu of policy options and cost-effective
interventions for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases
Reporting:
Requests the Director-General to submit a draft updated menu of policy
options and cost-effective interventions for the prevention and control of
noncommunicable diseases for consideration by the Eightieth World Health
Assembly, through the Executive Board at its 160th session
3. Substandard and falsified medical products Decision WHA76(10)
Main asks of decision:
To facilitate the conduct of an independent evaluation of the Member State
mechanism on substandard and falsified medical products in accordance with
the terms of reference to be developed by the Steering Committee of the
Member State mechanism
Reporting:
To report on the outcome of the evaluation to the governing bodies
consistent with existing reporting requirements of the Member State
mechanism on substandard and falsified medical products
4. Global strategy on infection prevention and control Decision WHA76(11)

Decision to adopt the strategy
Draft global action plan and monitoring framework shared
(Regional Committee document EM/RC70/12)
Consultations will consider Member State input on missing actions and
indicators, and whether the draft global action plan targets are relevant and
acceptable
Reporting:
To report on progress and results to the Seventy-eighth World Health
Assembly in 2025, and thereafter every two years until 2031 (as per World
Health Assembly resolution WHA75.13).
5. Extension of WHO traditional medicine strategy: 2014–23 to 2025

Main asks of decision:
To extend the WHO traditional medicine strategy: 2014–2023 to 2025
Reporting:
To develop, guided by the WHO traditional medicine strategy: 2014–2023 and
in consultation with Member States and relevant stakeholders, a draft new
global traditional medicine strategy for the period 20252034 and to submit
the draft strategy for consideration by the Seventy-eighth World Health
Assembly in 2025, through the Executive Board at its 156th session in January
2025
6. Achieving well-being: a global framework for integrating well-being
into public health utilizing a health promotion approach – Decision
WHA76(22)
Main asks of the decision:
To adopt the global framework for integrating well-being into public health
utilizing a health promotion approach
Reporting:
To request that the Director-General report on implementation of the global
framework for integrating well-being into public health utilizing a health
promotion approach to the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly in 2024,
the Seventy-ninth World Health Assembly in 2026 and the Eighty-fourth World
Health Assembly in 2031, as part of the reporting requirements under
resolution WHA75.19 adopted in 2022
7. Strengthening diagnostics capacity Resolution WHA76.5
Main asks of resolution:
To consider establishing national diagnostics strategies, developing national essential
diagnostics lists, extending scope of packages of essential diagnostic services,
investing in developing a skilled workforce, committing to safe use of diagnostic
imaging procedures, committing resources and strengthening collaboration in
alignment with the International Health Regulations (2005)
Reporting:
To report on progress in the implementation of this resolution to the Seventy-eighth
World Health Assembly in 2025
8. Integrated emergency, critical and operative care for universal health
coverage and protection from health emergencies – Resolution WHA76.2
Main asks of the resolution:
To create national policies for sustainable funding, conduct WHO emergency,
critical and operative care (ECO) system assessments to identify gaps, integrate
ECO delivery within relevant national health system assessments, develop
national, subnational and facility-level governance mechanisms, and promote more
coherent and inclusive ECO in emergency and fragile settings (12 asks of Member
States)
Reporting:
To report on progress in the implementation of this resolution to the World Health
Assembly in 2025, 2027 and 2029
9. Behavioural sciences for better health Resolution WHA76.7
Main asks of resolution:
Acknowledge the role of behavioural science, including its use in participatory
approaches and in the allocation of sustainable human and financial resources

Reporting:
To the Seventy-eighth World Health Assembly in 2025, Eightieth World Health
