Duties and Achievements:
 Good knowledge and exposure of Codes, Rules & Standards (DNV, ABS) requirements for
Electrical design & installation
 Designing Electric Power Distribution system in offshore rigs, onshore power plants
(including but not limited to Generation system, Switchboard, Transformer, UPS, etc.)
 Designing normal & emergency Lighting system at Lower cost while ensuring the safety and
technical requirements.
 Self-carrying power analysis (power flow, short circuit, battery sizing, etc.) for equipment
sizing and checking. This helps the Company save cost from hiring firm outside.
 Preparing Technical requirements for purchasing of electrical equipment: LV Switchgear,
MCC, UPS, Transformer, Distribution board, Cable, UPS, etc.
 Checking & evaluating Bid offers to select qualified Vendors. Propose an evaluation format
to save time.
 Working closely with Vendors to clarify all technical issues related to electrical equipment
 Controlling Vendors’ document, preparing project procedures

2.  Performing inspection of Electrical equipment to ensure good quality and complies with Class
requirements
 Executing detail drawings (Auto CAD), handling problems generated in construction stage.
 Writing commissioning procedure for LV Switchboard system, UPS and support Factory in
construction stage
 ETAP software for Load Analysis, Load Flow, Short-Circuit calculation
 Provide mentoring for less experienced engineers
