Arnis
Arnis, also known as Kali or Eskrima, is a
traditional Filipino martial art that focuses on
weapon-based fighting using sticks, knives,
and other bladed weapons. It also includes
hand-to-hand combat techniques and is
known for its fluid and versatile style.
History
Arnis has a long history in the
Philippines, dating back to pre-colonial
times when indigenous people used
bladed weapons to defend themselves.
Over time, the art developed and was
influenced by Spanish, Chinese, and
other martial arts.

"arnés," which means armor or protective gear.

Rules
Arnis is a martial art, and there are no strict
rules in terms of the techniques and
strategies that can be used. However, in
sport competitions, there are generally
rules regarding the use of protective gear,
the size and weight of the weapons used,
and the techniques that are allowed.
Rules
 The use of protective gear such as helmets, gloves,
and chest protectors is mandatory.
 The weapons used must be of a certain length and
weight.
 Strikes to certain areas of the body, such as the
head and groin, are not allowed.
 Points are awarded for strikes and blocks, and the
winner is determined by the number of points scored
within a set time limit.
