Viktoria Tkach did her apprenticeship as kitchen manager in training.
Her skillsand tasks among other jobs:
- Planningand organizing thekitchen based on event sheets, food, guests on demand over very week
- Coachingand leading a biggroup of international students
- Feedback for students: assessingthem and givingconstructivefeedback to develop
- Controlling procedures: monitoring procedures and also HACCP and ISO
- Problem solved working/thinking
- Communication skills:communicatethe rightinformation to the concerned person or department on
time and in a correctly manner
Duringher apprenticeship Viktoria convinced me that she is ableto plan and organizewell. In the 5 weeks she
had, she improved every week on this and I’m sure she develops even further. With her professional behaviour
and enthusiasmshe engaged a lotof empowerment to realisetasks.Thequality and responsibility thatshe
took for the kitchen and the food was overall very good. She had a lotof interest in these things.
The manner how she gave feedback to others, showed her leadership skills and motivation thatwas very
positivefor her, but also for the group. If Viktoria set goals shewas always goingfor the result,never gave up.
She has a good hospitality feelingand has interestin guests and their wishes.Good interaction between guests
and her.
The main strengths points: takes responsibility,job focused, hospitable,coaching
The improvement points:planning and organizing
Stenden hotel is a real world learningcompany where students are runningall the jobs in the hotel and
Practical instructors or theteachers. Managers need to learn to have the function to run a department
independent on a strategic level. Viktoria had a team of students under her responsibility where she needed to
cooperate with. She had the leadingover the whole group. Only the function of a Practical Instructor can
overrule her.
We worked with a lot of pleasurewith Viktoria.I can recommend her to you for a position in your Food and
Beverage Department.
