4. Gemini In October and November Gemini will appear along the eastern horizon in the morning sky prior to sunrise. The best time to observe Gemini at night is overhead during the months of January and February. By April and May, the constellation will be visible soon after sunset in the west.
6. Orion The current configuration of stars now known as the constellation of Orion formed roughly about 1.5 million years ago. As stars move relatively slowly from the perspective of Earth. Orion will remain recognizable in the night sky for the next 1 to 2 million years, making it one of the longest observable constellations, parallel to the rise of human civilization. Because it is so bright and distinctive, the pattern of stars that forms Orion was recognized as a coherent constellation by many ancient civilizations, though with different representations and mythologies.
8. My Constellation Alastrina Alastrina is Orions sister. She is located just above the north star. She was sent to the sky for pushing an innocent human down a waterfall and taking her life. She was banished by Zeus and just like the north star she doesn’t move in the sky because Zeus's wife and sister Hera loved Alastrina and pretty much raised her like a daughter so she likes to see her every night in the sky but mother nature has other ideas some nights. When you see Alastrina in the sky one would think of her beauty since she is the prettiest constellation in the universe. When she was younger she hung out with all of the boys and played there sports. She was a tomboy. She won the National Greek Chess Tournament (NGCT) for every age group when she was 12. Her right eye is the tip of the handle of the big dipper. She is best seen in the months of May through August. Also she always missed the first day of school so in the sky she can not be found on the eve of the amazing day that is the first day of school.
