Tom van der Lubbe is the co-founder of Viisi Hypotheken, a Dutch financial services firm founded in 2010 that aims to change the world of finance. Viisi operates under 10 rules that eliminate traditional hierarchies and encourage autonomy, transparency, and self-organizing teams. There are no bosses or managers, no performance reviews or budgets, and salaries are fixed rather than based on bonuses. All decisions are made horizontally by teams, and the only rules are to treat others as you wish to be treated and that all information should be publicly available unless harmful. The firm has grown to over 60 employees who have provided over 10,000 mortgages totaling €1 billion annually since 2010.
