Country on the west coast of Africa
located on the Equator line. In the
area of the Guinea’s Gulf known as
the Ensenada de Biafra.The country
has two main islands of São Tomé
and Príncipe. It’s a very tropical
place.
3. Language
The official language is Portuguese, but they also use different dialects such as
the forro. English and French are also spoken but these are minorities

The official religion in the country
is Christianity being the majority in
the country, with a total of 82% of
believers.
5. Traditional food
His traditional food is based of fish and
seafood. One of his most recognisable
dishes is called “Calulu” is made of
chicken or fish, palm oil and different
vegetables.
6. Traditions.
Since it was a colony of Portugal, Santo Tome actually has a mix of different
traditions as their own culture. By foreign influences, they adopted the “Tchiloli” as
a form of theatre, music and dancing where they express their african-european
legacy.
7. Government
Currently, the chief of the state is President Evaristo Carvhalo. They have a
democratic republic based in annual elections and the separation of the powers of
their state.
8. Population
According to the 2010 census, the city of Santo Tomé had 66,133 inhabitants,
registering an increase of 1.3% of the population, compared to the 2001
population census that had yielded 58,904 inhabitants.
