Re: Reference for Vesela Hristova, applicant for MSc in Management and Marketing
I am writing in support of Vesela Hristova’s application for the above-mentioned programme
within the School of Management and Business. I taught Vesela on a range of modules during
her degree studies and am familiar with her academic performance and personal qualities.
Vesela was a highly motivated and conscientious student during her time in the Department of
Psychology and I believe she is eminently suited for post-graduate study. Her attendance across
the degree scheme was exceptionally high, she consistently demonstrated the highest levels of
enthusiasm and commitment and she graduated with a good honours degree in Psychology
during the summer of 2013.
During her time in the Department, Vesela demonstrated a keen interest in research by
volunteering to act as a research assistant on an eye-tracking study that was running in the
Department. Vesela organised participants and completed testing in an organised, methodical
and professional manner. She was also very interested in eye-tracking as a method that can be
used to explore behaviour in several areas of human experience, such as marketing and
consumer behaviour.
Vesela also seized upon opportunities to demonstrate leadership and project management
skills during her time in the Department. She did this by playing an active role in Science Week
in 2012, where she organised various aspects of the Psychology Department’s exhibit. Vesela
also represented her fellow students by acting as a Course Representative during her second
year studies.
As such, I am more than happy to recommend Vesela for entrance to your MSc programme.
