03 Project Name Industry Account Switching

Description of the Project Industry Account Switching (IAS) is an initiative driven by
Industries that will provide consumers and small businesses with the
ability to move their current account from one bank to anotherin
seven working days for accounts eligible for a full switch. Bank
Account Switch System (BASS) is the application that will be used
for account switching activities within bank and its brands.If
customer wants to switch his account to anotherbank then customer
will apply a switching request in the New Bank. New bank will
validate customer’s account related information from an Old Bank
account.If all validations are successfulthen new bank will send a
request to the old bank to transfer all account related regular
payments details after that old bank will cancel all regular payments
and active cards linked to an old account and will send a regular
payment details to the new bank. New bank will make a setup of all
regular payments. If customer has positive balance in his account
then old bank will transfer balance to the new bank account if there
is a negative balance in old account then old bank will send a request
to the new bank to transfer the negative balance. New bank will
check his transfer funding limit and if negative balance is lesserthan
the funding limit then new bank will transfer negative balance to the
old bank and send a request to the old bank to close an account.
When customer’s account is closed in the old account then
customer’s account is ready to use in the new bank.
