Jack Ma achieved his current success as the result of his hard work despite
repeatedly accepting failure and being rejected. So, the underlying themes of this
biographical text is hard work and never giving up. It is pretty clear from how the
author describes the failures that Jack Ma faced before becoming someone who
is so successful now. The author implies that the character is a hard worker and
never gives up.

6. I don't feel any connection to the main character or the writer, because I've never felt as hard
journey as Jack Ma. However, in my opinion as a student, there are several attitudes from
Jack Ma that we should emulate, one of them is never giving up, I have to work hard and
never give up to finish my education because I believe that not everyone has the same luck to
study up to college. Sometimes we might feel stress but we have to get up and see what we
fight for, because if we work hard we will get satisfactory results. As one of jack ma's quotes
"Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be
sunshine." I really felt that, when I competed to continue my education at Udayana University,
I competed with all students in Indonesia to pass the college entrance examination, I worked
hard regardless of whether I was able or not to fight for it, until officially I passed the
examination.

Yes, it does. In Jack Ma's biography, tells how Jack Ma started his career, he failed many
times, to become one of the richest people in China to this day. Jack Ma's life journey is full of
struggles. This is an issue that I think is very important for the public to know, why? Because
as we know nowadays it's hard to find people who have the passion to change their lives like
jack ma did. Most people tend to give up easily, and they don't want to bounce back from
failure. For example, an owner of noodle shop stressed then decide to close his business
because of many competitors. Jack Ma once said "Forget about your competitors, just focus on
your customers." so what we need to do is focus on the customers who love our products, we
don't need to close the business just because there are many competitors. Jack Ma's life
journey is able to provide a lot of motivation for those who are discouraged to continue trying to
live life as best they can and never give up, therefore I think Jack Ma's biography is very useful
and important to read.

There is no apparent specific aspect that I
think can caused the readers to feel
frustrated, but what I consider is if I look more
at the motivation words or quotes that he
gave, I just think that some of them are not
realistic or so hard to apply in our real life.
Might be because we do not have the same
opportunity, problem, situation, or spirit to face
it because everyone has the capacity to solve
their problem in life. So we can not do the
same as what he did, but we can as much as
we can. Because when we read one’s
biography, we will take the positive aspect
from their life journey. Though some of the
words are right and motivate us if it does not
suit our condition or situation do not force
ourselves.

How do the ideas in the text connect with the real world and/or your own life
Jack ma's life experience shows us the real struggle of life. Sometimes we feel like life is not
fair, we have so many failures, but Jack ma's struggle with hardship and desire for wealth has
been documented and inspires us all. He taught us that we have to let our vision be to impact
the lives of people positively, and it doesn't matter where you start, it is where you finish that
counts. Do not let your humble beginnings or unfortunate circumstances stop you from
pursuing opportunities. Your level of education, method of upbringing or resources at hand do
not matter at all. All that is important is how much you want to be successful and the amount of
effort that you put in. Your spirit, hardiness, grit and fortitude will determine whether you win or
fail. Like Jack Ma, dig in your heels and give every opportunity your best shot. This is how to
become successful in life. Jack Ma indicates that giving up is the biggest failure. Every time
you go out, try your best. If you fail to accomplish your goal but see the process to the end,
then you are a success. Hardship is the best teacher and the key to fortune is understanding
its lessons. We have to observe every opportunity as a door to our future.
