Regional Claims Supervisor 07/2010 – Present.
I was hired as PMA Management Corp first TPA Regional Claims Supervisor in our Atlanta
office. This position was created when PMA separated their Carrier and TPA Units. I am
responsible for supervising five Sr. Claims Adjusters, two Medical Only Adjusters and one
Medical only Trainee. I also provide limited supervision for our Telephonic Case Manager. As a
Regional Claims Supervisor, my job entails reviewing new files for proper assignments,
direction, overseeing and assisting Adjusters with daily desk management, questions and
direction to assist with moving file towards resolution. I conduct monthly open file audits
focusing on 24 hour contacts, prompt pay, compensability decision and review files for accurate
reserves. I oversee monthly roundtable meetings on high exposure claims, in an effort to assist
Adjusters with an Action Plan that will bring the best resolution to the file. I conduct and attend
quarterly Claims Reviews with Clients, Brokers and assist Claims Adjusters along with the
Brokers and the Clients in establishing an Action Plan that will bring closure and resolution to
the file. I collaborate with Underwriters and the Risk Department in analyzing and evaluating
Accounts for exposure. I also work with the Account Executive, Claims Service Manager, and
Sales Manager in completing RFP’s and participates in presentations for recruiting new business.
I assist with new Account set ups for takeover accounts once new business is received.

Sr. Account Claims Representative 06/12/2006 –07/2010
Under limited supervision, utilize various methods of investigation of new losses; take over TPA
accounts, and medical only removals. Determine compensability, reconfirm coverage, and
establish reserves based on estimated exposure throughout the life of the file. Also review
each claim and rule out Subrogation, and determine if there is SITF potential. The ultimate goal
in mind is to bring closure and resolution to each file either by settlement resolution, or closure
once MMI and PPD has been established. Demonstrate technical proficiency through timely,
consistent execution of PMA Best Claim Practices. Effectively communicate with all internal
and external involved customers and parties to the file. Prepare Major Loss, Broker Reviews
and Status Reports for designated accounts for internal and external use. Work closely with
supervisor and in his absence work as a back-up and assist with new losses, and any hot ticket
issues that may arise. Works as a Mentor for new hires, and assist with training, and mentoring
throughout their career while at PMA. Participate with round tabling files, which involve
providing feedback and assistance with file resolution.

Investigated, evaluated & resolved high exposure claims via settlement resolution and bring
closure to file. Determine if settlement will involve a Medicare Set- Aside (MSA), if so request
MSA/Rated Age and negotiate claim based on MSA. Assist co-workers/new hires with training
and questions as it relates to claims handling. In supervisor’s absence I review new claims and
medical only claims for assignments/reassignments, as well as handle and resolve complaint
calls. Because I handle high exposure claims, I reported claims, once it reached the SIR amount
to the Excess Carrier and complete quarterly Status Reports/Broker Reviews for the Client as
well as the Excess Carrier. I handled all types of high exposure, litigated/un-litigated claims that
