Consumer behavior is influenced by psychological, social and cultural, personal, and economic factors. There are different types of consumer behaviors such as brand loyalty, habitual buying behavior, variety seeking behavior, and dissonance-reducing buying behavior. Utility, which is a measure of satisfaction received from consuming a product or service, can be measured through cardinal utility which compares the exact satisfaction levels or ordinal utility which compares satisfaction levels in order of preference.
