Basic info
• The Biomass District Heating Šentrupert will cover:
− 14 bigger buildings in Municipality Šentrupert
− 78 individual residual houses
• Yearly heat energy consumption estimation: 1.398 MWh
• Peak power estimation: 570kW

Boiler house design
• The core of the system present 500kW wood biomass boiler
• Additional wood biomas boiler with the power of 120kW
• For peaks power balancing 20 m3 heat storage tank is planed
• 150 m3 wood biomass storage is planed

Income estimation
• Estimated heat consumption by all the users together is 1.398 MWh.
• The average prize for energy for users is calculated in accordance with
suggested tariff regulations for systems DOLB and is 75 EUR/MWh
• Income is estimated at 104.840 EUR yearly without VAT.

Business model
• For the investment in BDH, the PPPP model will be used.
• Municipality of Šentrupert will take part in establishing of the
energy cooperative, into which it includes local stakeholders
(citizens of the Šentrupert and local private companies)
• The biggest interest for membership in the cooperative would be
on the side of forest owners, who would for exchange for using
the heat energy from the system of remote heating, supply the
wood for making wooden chips.
