ANALYTICAL & CLINICAL SKILLS
My Capstone project included theoretically creating a supplement product based off of the anabolic category,as
well as presented this project in front of a large class of students of the same major.
Assisted in preparation and conduction of research experiments for two post doctorates.
Used the YSI 2300 STAT PLUS machine to analyze blood and plasma glucose of severalsubjects for during
research days,as well as assisted in the maintaining of the machine.
Conducted glucose, TG and NEFA assays and analyzed them via a spectrometer,and further examined data in
Excel.
Created a separate abstract entitled “The effect of insulin resistance on fat/glucose utilization in humans” off of
two shared research results from the post doctorates I worked under.
Created and presented a poster for the Health Sciences Research Day entitled “The effect of insulin resistance on
fat/glucose utilization in humans” on November 12th
, 2015.
Performed other lab work such as lipid extraction and thin layer chromatography.
Aided in the organization and preparation of testing materials required for inpatient studies including: test tubes,
urine collectors, data collection sheets,timers, and other necessary materials.
Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Office, NDSR,and GraphPad.
