2. During the 2012 London Summer Olympics, I served as
brand manager and strategist for US Olympic swimmer
and medalist Lia Neal. As a result, Lia was the #1
researched US athlete (above Lebron James, Kobe Bryant,
Michael Phelps, Lolo Jones, etc.) for the week leading up
to the Opening Ceremony according to Experian
Marketing Services, the hashtag #LiaNeal became a
trending topic on twitter and the narrative of a 17 year old
female swimmer from Brooklyn realizing her dreams
despite lack of resources and stereotypes became a
monumental story for the 2012 Olympics.

7. Created and executed an audio-visual exhibit for the release
of Kris Bowers’ debut album, Heroes + Misfits (Concord
Music). Stepping away from traditional listening session
events, Heroes + Misfits: The Exhibit, presented by
Urbanears and Giant Step, at the newly opened Neuehouse
and paired Bowers’ jazz with visual works mirroring the
concepts and themes behind the album. The featured artists
included, Rushern Baker IV, Sanford Biggers, Josh Cochran,
Jeremyville, Si Scott and Andre Woolery,
Urbanears was secured as a partner and provided the
headphones for guests of the private exhibit upon entering the
space. Attendees were able to plug into their mobile phones
and stream the album from Bowers’ Soundcloud page –
creating an intimate way to listen to the jazz virtuoso’s debut,
while admiring the artwork displayed on the walls on the
Neuehouse. The evening concluded with a private musical
performance by Bowers, as he presented a few alternatives to
selected cuts off his album.
