distributed byVirgin EMI records however in America it’s Island Records.
Firstly formed in 1945,Chicago by Irving Green, Berle Adams, and Ray
Greenberg holding great influence in jazz, blues,rock and classical
music.
• Irving Green was born in Chicago, Illinois. He sold Mercury Records
to Consolidated Electronics industry.After leaving Mercury Records
he became “real estate developer” in Palm Springs.
• Born in Chicago,Illinois BerleAdams in his early life whilst at school
he rented speaker systems, booked events (weddings and proms
etc). During the Great Depression he would sell “life insurance door
to door”.
