Summary of Qualifications
Over six years in professional military security and law enforcement experience. Over t
hree years experience successfully handling, managing, training and caring for military
working dog teams and civilian law enforcement canine teams. In addition to, over one
year experience successfully raising, handling, training, and caring for Canine Compani
ons for Independence (CCI) dogs.

Canine
 Certified in accordance with military standards and regulations as working K9
handler.
 Handled patrol explosives detection working dog (PEDD) and explosives
detection working dog (EDD) ensuring 100% certification requirements met at all
times.
 Maintained care and training qualifications for five patrol explosives detection
working dogs (PEDD), one explosives detection working dog (EDD) and one
patrol narcotics detection working dog (PNDD).
 Provided 24-hour on call care for seven military working dogs with zero
discrepancies.
 Able to recognize K9 diseases, be familiar with hygiene requirements, and know
the physical condition of the K9.
 Ability and willingness to work in hostile and conflict environment.
 Established work/rest schedule for all major events on and off base requiring the
utilization of any canine support or activities; all tasks completed without error.
 Supported United States Secret Service on six President of the United States
(POTUS) events and one Vice-President of the United States (VPOTUS) event;
ensuring the safety and security of all personnel on all responsible sites.
 Responded to bomb treats at Valdosta State University, Valdosta, GA 31603;
providing essential detection element for safe and secure reentry for staff and
students to facilities.
 Experienced in safe explosives handling, explosives storage protocols and
explosives transportation protocols.
 Training in protocols to preclude cross contamination of explosives odors used in
training and testing.
 Ability to demonstrate proper IED and explosives materials recognition for
working dog certification requirements.
 Raised, trained, and cared for seven CCI puppies, ensuring the proper and
adequate commands and behaviors taught; helped ensure the proper utilization
of the dogs when teamed with future owners.
Communication
 Communicated effectively with civilian and military populations; conveying the
need and importance for detection working dogs.
 Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and agencies from diverse
cultures and backgrounds including U.S. Government, host nation government
and law enforcement.
 Provided direct line of communications between civilian canine and military
canine sections for group and one-on-one detection, aggression and search
training.
 Promoted canine safety and community awareness while demonstrating the
proper use of working dogs.
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Supervision
 Provided leadership and instruction for four new handlers ensuring 100%
qualifications and certifications met on time; ensured the positive growth of
overall canine support.
