Professional Experience
Automation Engineering Intern Summer of 2016
Cadreon (IPG Mediabrands) – San Francisco
Developed custom functionality within an API automation framework that allowed for
rapid regression/functional testing of several RESTful API projects
Integrated custom automation framework with 3rd party data management tool
Trained existing employees on using the new custom framework
Learning Support Services Tutor 2014-2015
University of California – Santa Cruz
Taught and assisted undergraduate students in the area of Ordinary Differential Equations,
and their relations to engineering disciplines
Student Design Trainee Intern Summer of 2015
San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
Reviewed AutoCAD schematics to proofread and enhance existing mechanical designs
Developed PowerShell programs to automate data management
Used SCADA control systems to monitor mechanical systems
Overhauled and oversaw the Oceanside Wastewater Treatment Plant’s computer systems,
completing the overhaul project one month ahead of schedule
Engineering/Web Development Intern Summer of 2014
XTime (Acquired by Cox Automotive)
Implemented Google Analytics software into Scheduling 7, a scheduling software for car
dealerships and performed data analysis of the data to implement JavaScript code which
increased customer usability, satisfaction, and overall profits
Developed Java programs for Oracle database connectivity to retrieve data and statistics.
Implemented back-end and front-end designs for Scheduling 7
2. Personal Projects
Autonomous Quadcopter September 2015
Added a Bluetooth receiver (nRF8001 board) to a Syma X11 quadcopter to follow a
Bluetooth signal emitted by my mobile device.
Wrote control code to adjust for autonomous flight
Robot with Servomotor Legs January 2015
Created a robot that walks using eight servomotors for legs through the Arduino
Wrote code to create a preprogrammed path for the robot to walk.
Robot turned due to specific variations in the servomotor angular rotation
Academic Projects
Autonomous “Roach” Robot Sept 2016
Created an autonomous wheeled robot which mimicked the behavior of a cockroach
2 kHz Infared Light Sensor Oct 2016
Created a complex circuit design involving gain stages, filters, peak detectors, etc. that had
the capability to detect a 2 kHz (while rejecting all other frequencies) waveform generator
through a phototransistor from 6 feet away.
Autonomous Golf Robot Oct – Dec 2016
Created a sophisticated autonomous robot based off of given design specifications in thirty
days
Robot was required to navigate a field by following black tape using phototransistors, detect
a ball loader using a 25 kHz track wire, and detect targets with a 2 kHz beacon.
Utilized hierarchical state machines to write all the control code
Hardware Implementation of Reversi June 2016
Using a PSOC FPGA, I created the game of Reversi using a LED board and C
Game was able to be played through keyboard input and was also able to play with other
players through wireless communcation
