2. Safety
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. If you see a safety issue,
neutralise if it can be done safely, but always report the safety
issue to the site manager.
Watch for safety risks that might affect you, your team mates,
or the public.

3. Heed all labels and warnings

4. Do not hammer in pegs unless the
site manager has confirmed there
are no power lines buried in the
area.
Ensure all pegs are clearly marked and
covered.
Do not remove marker until peg is
removed, especially at night.

5. Coil power leads carefully. Do not overfill box, or coil so it is too large
for the box.
Sitting other boxes on top of overfilled boxes will damage the leads -
which may cause dangerous cuts in the lead covers.
ALWAYS CHECK LEADS FOR DAMAGE BEFORE CONNECTING THEM TO
A POWER SUPPLY.

lead, ensure it is clearly marked,
and physically isolated from
other electrical leads.

6. Ensure all leads use an isolator or circuit breaker

7. Ensure you know how to turn off the power supply.

8. Protect all electrical gear from water.
Turn off power supply before handling wet electrical equipment.

9. Where ropes cross
pedestrian areas, clearly
mark with safety tape.
Set up prior to darkness.

10. Use the load handling equipment
supplied.
Do not attempt to lift heavy loads
without assistance.

3. Ensure it will not slip, move, or change its balance.
4. Keep your back as straight as possible.
5. Keep the load close to your body
6. Begin applying force with your legs and arms.
7. Stand up, if the object was on the floor
8. Bend through your knees with a straight back to
place the load on a different spot.
