2. Cave Painting
Cave Painting is known for being a picture/painting on the interior of a cave, which mostly
depicted animals.
The earliest know cave painting was about 40,000 years ago or 38,000 BC, cave painting
died out 2,500 BC. Which means that it lasted for 35,500 years which is the longest any art
form has remained the most popular.
This cave painting was found in El Castillo cave in Cantabria , Spain
It dates back about 40,000 years ago and remains the oldest found
cave painting.

3. Oral Traditions
Oral Traditions and oral lore is culture material and traditions transmitted orally from one
generation to another.
It is not known 100% when the first oral tradition was created but a few examples would be
“The Mischievous Piper”, “The Legend of Tam O’ Shanter” and “The Gurt Wurm of Shervage
Wood”.

Oral Traditions were very popular in the Viking and Roman
days and are still quite popular to day but not as popular as
they once were.
4. Theatre
Theatre is a building where theatrical performances or motion-picture shows can be presented.
Theatre has been going since about 200 BCE and was used by the Romans and was most
popular from 1550 to 1700. One of the most popular people from theatre was William
Shakespeare. He was in the middle of the period when theatre was at its peak in terms of
popularity and he is one of the reasons why it was so popular.

A book or other written or printed work, regarded in terms of its content rather than its
physical form.
Text is known to have been started over 5,000 years ago with Antiquity. They used nearly
everything that could be written upon. It was very popular around the times of theatre and is
still very popular today.
A real life example of text would be “A Tale of Two Cities” by Charles Dickens which was first
published in 1859 and has sold over 200 million copies which makes it the most popular book
of all time.

6. Film
A definition of film would be a thin flexible strip of plastic or other material coated with
light-sensitive emulsion for exposure in a camera.
Film began in the late 1880s and is currently at its most popular that it has ever been and
is being mass produced.

7. TV
A definition for television would be a system for transmitting visual images and sound that
are reproduced on screens, chiefly used to broadcast programs for entertainment.
Television started in 1908 and has taken the minds of engineers and inventors in several
different countries over many decades to be like it is today. Television is currently at its most
popular stage with more people watching now more than ever.
