APPbyYOU was founded in 2012 as an Internet-Startup in Germany. We are developing a messaging
communications platform with an app framework.
With a combination of CompanyMessenger, AppEditor and AppFramework makes us unique in to-
days market and offers your company limitless possibilities for adaptation (customizing of your
CompanyMessenger).
VISION
In no later than 5 years every company will have their own company messenger as their communication
platform just as telephones were earlier used in companies. The CompanyMessenger is not only used
for push-notification, but also, with a good internet broad band for IP-Telephone. This makes our current
telefone system obsolete. Further services such as mini-apps, widgets, chatbots, AI-bots are suppor-
ted in realtime messaging communications. The messenger becomes the central service platform and
presents the user interface (UI), a „mobile desktop“ for every employee and business partner. In the
future the company processes will be controlled per realtime messaging and other such as automatic
chatbots. The machines are IoT capable and intergrated in chatgroups. Real-time messaging is the link
between the processes, users, and IoT.
MISSION
We earn our money with the software licences and are not a platform operator that collects data to
sell to third parties! You receive a white label solution of the CompanyMessenger and decide
yourself where your data is to be stored. We as a german software company fall under the german and
european data protection laws. The focus of our market is in europe – we are a messenger producer

3. REALTIME MESSAGING IN THE DIGITAL AGE
The business processes are no more statically predefined, but will be in the future as event sent to the
cloud, that trigger an automated message or a realtime communication between employees. Front line
is the team communication, whereas in a chat group also IoT objects (example machines) as members
integrated (M2E = machine to employee communication), that can send automated messages to the
chat group.
MESSAGING COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM
The solution of APPbyYOU is a communications plattform, that gives you the possibility, using the
AppFramework, to connect further mini-apps, widgets, chatbots and machine hubs (IoT). Dependent
positions of the employees, for example business partners (customers, suppliers), enable individual
services to be made available on the home screen of the CompanyMessenger. These event-driven
processes need their own company messenger with an AppFramework to configurate the branch
specific use cases.
DATA SOVEREIGNTY
You receive an enterprise-licence with unlimited number of users on your messenger platform. You are
the platform operator and decide which users are given access. You retain all data rights as stated in the
german and european data protection rights act. The CompanyMessenger with the Enterprise licence
can be run on an inhouse server or from a computer data center in a cloud of choice.
APP FRAMEWORK
The unique selling point of this messenger solution is the AppFramework for the integration of
mini-apps (ERP-transactions for example SAP or other ERP-applications that can read or write the
communication data from the back end system). Analysis reports (KPI-dashboards) can be integrated as
widgets with the push of a button. The newest hype of the digitalization are called chatbots. The bots
can be created by your IT department and react to specific notifications. The notification creates an
event or order and can retrieve information from the back end in the future. For example, „What is the
inventory level of material xy?“ This question given to the messenger by voice or text messaging will
send a chatbot to retrieve the answer out of the ERP-backend system. In the future, the business chat-
bots can be easily programed in the CompanyMessenger. You receive the AppFramework – a flexible
communications platform!
USER INTERFACE
With the use of the CompanyMessenger everybody has their own mobile pocket office (UI- user interfa-
ce). The work environment with the mini-apps in the messenger service can be simply started from any
internet browser (hybrid web app). It is device independent and can even be worked on a PC in a hotel
lobby. Naturally there is a harmonization of data between browser, desktop client, tablet, industrial
terminal, car client, smart home TV and smartphone. The CompanyMessenger is available everywhere –
that is what we call „age og digital tranformation“.

The design (colors, elements, employee templates, etc.) are done with the AppEditor, the design
tool. Now programming knowledge is needed. You can display your corporate identity (CI)
and define specifications and marketing requirements. The actual version of the AppEditor
manual is available as e-book download under www.company-messenger.com. Additionally the
AppEditor is also used as an admin tool for the management of users, groups, templates, access
rights, etc.

The AppFramework (Messaging SDK) is made available for development of additional widgets,
mini-apps, or interfaces (API`s). The CompanyMessenger takes various forms with its given rolls
and templates in the mini-apps interpretation. The individual add-ons can be made availab-
le in other languages. In the future reusable mini-apps and widgets can be purchased in the
WidgetStore.

APPROACH
Implementation Guide zum CompanyMessenger
Test for free and with no obligation the standard version of the APPbyYOU CompanyMessenger.
It is available to all in the AppStore and in the Google Play Store by using the search „APPbyYOU
Messenger“ available with the standard functions.
On www.appbyyou-messenger.com, the Desktop Client is additionally available. Manuals can also be
found here for the CompanyMessenger and AppEditor. Upon request, you can gain developer access
to the AppFramework (Messaging-SDK).
After you have tested it to your satisfaction, you can order the enterprise license online. The AppEditor
is ordered as an add on license so that you can individualize your app. The developing environment
(AppFramework license) is optional in the case that you or your service provider want to develop
additional interfaces or widgets.
You receive with the order confirmation the license and service agreement as well as the
communications platform (CompanyMessenger, AppEditor, AppFramework), that will be installed on a
remote server. Mini-apps, widgets, chatbots, or existing interfaces can now be selected out of the
WidgetStore or developed by yourselve. The individual use cases will be displayed on the home screen.
Depending on the users roll, different mini-apps will appear on the screen. For project realization we
recommend an ongoing To Do list with activity marked in red, yellow and green (red=not completed,
yellow=function for testing, green=completed). Is the To Do list completed, the final test can follow for
acceptance. After that, your CompanyMessenger goes „live“!
With the maintenace agreement a hotline is available during the operating hours. Further, you will
periodically recieve patches and releases.

12. DATA PROTECTION
We generally recommend a cloud connection of the messengers with your current file server (private
cloud). The images are not decentralized as with common messenger services on different devices, but
are filed on the storage device of the company and sent by link posting. Only by granted authorization
can the individual data, like receipts or images, be made available offline. If access is not granted tot he
stores data, for example business partners, then cloud providers such as Dropbox can be intregrated.
Individual folders in the cloud can be released to users with access authorization.

The server must have a quad core CPU or better and available working memory of 4GB minimum.
We recomment to start with a 100GB hard drive, whereas a scaling factor of usage – dependent upon
the number of users – must be available.
A remote installation is done in most cases. The time required fort he installation is one day.

14. THE APPFRAMEWORK
HOW TO CREAT A WIDGET
Further widgets can be created using JavaScript/TypeScript (for example with Angular). The code can
be turned on and of with git (DVCS). The choices of the developmental environment are left to the
developers.
Source codes can be developed in JavaScript Editor that is executed in the AppEditor. JavaScript App
contains source codes that can be executed within the app during usage.
Every widget be made multilingual using the translation table. The standard language of the widget can
be set at its initial creation.
