waterborne striper. With this experience, I was asked to lead the team to update the
specifications for the 2015 contract.
Teams and Committee Involvement (Continued):
1994 Member of the Work Zone Traffic Review Team. This team was an annual FHWA
team comprised of a member of FHWA and one representative from Traffic,
Construction, Design and Risk Management Divisions. This team traveled through
various MoDOT Construction and Maintenance work zones in the State to evaluate

designers and construction inspectors responsible for these jobs to obtain their input
in order to improve the states work zone expectations and standards.
Special Skills:
During my career I have had the opportunity to work with Senators, Representatives,
City Officials, the general public, MoDOT employees of various levels, vendors and
both state and federal agencies on signing topics. The broad experience I have
gained at both the district and division levels of Traffic gives me the unique
experience necessary to see both viewpoints when determining a response to an
issue. My time in the Division office has exposed me to an extremely wide variety of
MoDOT operations working with virtually every division. These experiences, and
others, have allowed me to build my knowledge of the Traffic Division and MoDOT,
retaining much of the history of what has taken place and the reasons behind the
directions we have taken. My view of the Traffic Liaison Engineer is to preserve the
integrity and safety of the state highway system, while also being flexible enough to
address the needs of its customers. I believe my experiences and work history
have given me the skills to meet and exceed the demands of this role.
