This document discusses PECO's energy efficiency programs called PECO Smart Ideas which were established to help customers save energy and money and meet goals under the PA Act 129. It provides an overview of the programs offered for residential and business customers as well as highlights from Phase II including lighting discounts, multifamily solutions, and energy savings achieved. It also outlines goals for Phase III, running from 2016-2021, including reducing consumption by 5% and peak demand by 161 MW.

2. PA Act 129
 PECO Smart Ideas is the suite of electric energy efficiency and
conservation programs offered to residential and business
customers to help them save energy and money and achieve our
Act 129 goals
 Phase I: June 2009 – May 2013
 Phase II: June 2013 – May 2016
 We also offer natural gas energy efficiency rebates for natural
gas conversion and upgrading to high efficiency natural gas
heating equipment (in PECO natural gas territory), and for
switching from electric to natural gas equipment (PECO and PGW
customers)

4. PECO Act 129 Phase II Highlights
 PECO Smart Lighting Discounts - customers continue to take advantage
of PECO lighting discounts at retail, price of LEDs down considerably
 5,013,292 purchased since June 2013
 PECO Smart Multifamily Solutions – more than 20,000 tenant occupied
units in multifamily dwellings have received direct install services
 PECO Smart Builder Rebates – a total of 352 new homes have been
registered by 13 builders to receive or have received PECO rebates for
ENERGY STAR® certification
 104 homes registered in Philadelphia
 34 homes have received rebates
 LEEP – 23,000 energy audits conducted and more than 744,000
bulbs installed for income eligible customers in Phase II
 PECO Smart Business Solutions – 1,077 direct install projects
have been completed for small businesses

7. PA Act 129 Phase III
 PECO Phase III Goals (June 2016 – May 2021)
• Phase III is a 5 year program
• Reduce consumption by 5.0 % or 1,962,659 MWhs
• Reduce peak demand by 161 MW through demand reduction
• A 5.5% low income savings carve out must be achieved
• A 3.5% GNI savings carve out must be achieved
 PECO is currently preparing its Phase III EE&C Plan in response to
the PUC’s final implementation order in June 2015
• The EE&C plan will be submitted to the PUC by the end of November
• PECO expects plan approval by March 2016
