Background
Successful chip deployment relies on a number of testing and validation
services, including the CPV and M-TIP services. MasterCard allows for the
delivery of such formal approval services to customers by several external
service providers. Up to now, four external companies were accredited:
• Argotechno
• Cetecom
• FIME
• UL Transaction Security
New Formal Approval Service Providers
As part of an ongoing process improvement effort, MasterCard has accredited
two additional service providers. Effective immediately, MasterCard will allow
the following companies to provide the formal approval services listed below
to customers.

Issuers selecting a service provider for their CPV formal approval service may
choose between Argotechno, Cetecom, FIME, Tech Mahindra, and UL.
Acquirers selecting a service provider for their M-TIP formal approval service
may choose between Argotechno, Cetecom, FIME, FIS-OTS, Tech Mahindra,
and UL.
