This missive is in support of the candidacy of Mr. Theophile Khayat for a position with your
firm. I recommend Mr. Khayat to you. I know that Mr. Khayat will prove to be a credit to your

I have known Mr. Khayat since the spring of 2014. He has been a student in my upper level
finance courses and my forecasting course as well as an independent study in Statistical Decision
Theory in the department of Finance and Quantitative Methods. Mr. Khayat has shown himself
to be an intelligent and highly motivated individual. He has consistently demonstrated an
exceptional ability to grasp complex abstract concepts as well as interpret these concepts in more
practical terms. Mr. Khayat’s intelligence is indicated by his scholastic standing in a rigorous
and demanding course of study. His motivation is supported by the extracurricular activities in
which he has been engaged as well as performing exceptionally well in the classroom. In the
classroom Mr. Khayat has consistently been prepared. He has frequently anticipated
assignments and has consistently most satisfactorily completed them.
Mr. Khayat has demonstrated originality and independence of thought in the application of
various abstract tools and techniques to particular problem solving situations. He has indicated
an ability to perform on his own. Additionally, Mr. Khayat has, in the process of completing
courses of study evidenced an ability to pursue independent research in the course of analysis
and to communicate the results of these activities.
In summary I iterate my recommendation for Mr. Khayat whom I would rate highly among the
