To Whom It May Concern
Johnathan Reyes, a student in my Commercial Banking class in the Master of Science
in Finance program during the spring 2014 semester at the College of Business
Administration at Florida International University has asked me to provide a letter
recommending him as a top candidate for a position in the finance and related fields.
While I only recently met him, in a very short space of time he has been able to impress
me with his intelligence, diligence, and commitment to learning.
The course I taught him encapsulates financial theory and its analysis, the objectives,
regulatory environment, constraints, and policies, as they apply to the management of
financial intermediaries, with special emphasis on commercial banks. It requires the
student to solve numerical problems, which are qualitative and quantitative in nature
and perform research to help an organization’s diverse stakeholders make strategic
decisions. It is both challenging and demanding in terms of time commitment and
requires a great deal of willpower and self-discipline. Johnathan has successfully
fulfilled the requirements. Over the period of my class, I have noted his personal
development in critical thinking and analytical skills. His participation in the group
assignment has allowed him the opportunity to develop his research, project
management, leadership, oral, and written communication skills.
He has strong communication skills, displayed through participation in various class
discussions. His friendly and cordial nature makes him ideal to work in groups. From
my acquaintance with Johnathan, I am confident that he has the ability to perform
well and I strongly recommend him. Should you have any further questions, please
feel free to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
