Sermon: Because Of The Ark
Principal Scripture (PS): 2 Chronicles 5:1-14
1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the Lord was finished: and Solomon
brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and
all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the
fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord
out of the city of David, which is Zion.
3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in
the seventh month.
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels
that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before
the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, to the oracle of
the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims
covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark
before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when
the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests
that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:
12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with
their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and
harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests
sounding with trumpets:)

3. 13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be
heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets
and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his
mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the
Lord;
14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the
Lord had filled the house of God.

4. The Message/Didache: Because Of The Ark
- If one doubts whether the word is going to continue or not, that insinuation and doubt
challenges the fabric of one’s salvation. There is never going to be a time where the word will
be exhorted, the word is going to keep on coming so long the Lord wants to save His people.
- Sometimes we might quote Scripture like Colossians 1:13 but not know the real and full
implications of the Scriptures.
- Because the word proceeds from Christ who is in eternity out of time, the word/rhema is
always going to be there because there is no shortage in eternity, eternity is infinity.
- Questions to be answered:
1. What does the Ark of Covenant represent?
2. How did the people of Israel react to the Ark?
3. What are the lessons we should learn from the Ark of Covenant?
- What we are learning today requires us to know how we ought to relate with the Old
Testament Scriptures.
- Reading our Principal Scripture (PS) might prompt some to build structures claiming they will
be building the House of God.
- David is the one who initially wanted to build God a House, but Solomon later took the
initiative but even Solomon did not build God a house, the Temple he built is not God’s House.
(Acts 7:45-50).
- Both Solomon and David could not build God a House because they are human; no human
hands can build God’s House [Acts 17:24-25].
- The resources Solomon used to build the House were representative of everything David
wanted to use to build the House initially, implying that the death of David led to the building of
God’s House. The House of God being the Church; the materials to be used in the building of
the Church is God’s own blood (Acts 20:28).
- (1 Corinthians 3:9-16); God has got a Building (a Church). The resources of this Building are
the Apostles as master builders of the foundation, the foundation being Jesus Christ (verse 11).
The Church of God are the saints, the congregation of those forgiven of their sins.
- David is a type of Jesus in the days of His flesh [a type of God that is, Christ manifesting in the
flesh – 1 Timothy 3:16].
- So, by the death of David; the Temple’s construction started – by the death of JESUS, by which
blood is offered; the New Testament is established – Hebrews 9:16.

5. - There was an Assembly because of the Ark (PS – verse 3).
- The Levites are coming in because of the Ark (PS – verse 4).
- All Holy Vessels are brought in because of the Ark (PS – verse 5).
- Because of the Ark; the sacrifices offered in appreciation of the Ark could not be numbered
(PS – verse 6).
- All the priests that were present were sanctified because of the arrival of the Ark/Aron (PS –
verse 11).
- (PS – verse 12) the Levites’ attires changed to white linen and singers were introduced into
the worship of Israel because the Ark was about to arrive. Moses did not make special clothes
for Levites; special clothes were made for the priests/HaKohen.
- All singers were to sing for the Ark with one voice.
- (1 Chronicles 15:26-); when the Ark came during the days of David; the sacrifice was
numbered. (Verse 27) both David and the Levites wore fine linen. (Verse 29), King David danced
jovially when the Ark arrived and was later despised by his wife.
- Growing up, we used to admire Israel because it had the Ark of the Covenant. We did so
before the understanding of the Gospel came. Some musicians sang songs appraising the Ark,
one of them being Matthias Mhere.

6. - (Romans 9:1-5) refutes this admiration because, even thou Israel had the Ark of Covenant and
other instruments of worship including the Law, they still remain(ed) unsaved.
- It is called the Ark of Covenant; the question becomes; which Covenant? – it is the Old
Testament Covenant not and will never be the New Testament Covenant.
- The instruments of the Ark of Covenant (Hebrews 9:1-6):
❖ An overlay of gold.
❖ A golden pot containing manna.
❖ The tables of the covenant.
❖ The two cherubims.
❖ Aharon’s rod which budded.

7. - The sorrow Apostle Paul displays in Romans 9:1-5 is justified since Israel can be likened to a
person given a promissory letter but stayed for years without receiving that which is promised
in the letter. When Christ who is the Son of promise manifested, they knew Him not hence The
Embarrassment
- The Ark represented the presence of God.
❖ The rod of Aaron which bud (Numbers 17:2-10).

8. - The rod of Aron is a token against the rebels who rebelled against the authenticity of the
Levitical priesthood and Moses as the Testator.
- The rod was there to console God against the murmuring of Israel least His wroth would
consume them wholly. It was there to soothe the Lord against destroying the whole of Israel.
- (Psalms 23:1-4), the purpose of the rod is to comfort.
- The budding of the rod represents fruitfulness and life. The same attribute of our Lord as

- The rod was representing The Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh/Pneuma Hagion, (John 14:26, John
15:26].
- Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ [1 Peter 1:9], so the advent of the Holy Spirit is not the coming
of another but the manifestation of Christ in another dimension (John 14:16-19).
- The coming of The Holy Spirit is another manifestation of the same Comforter.
- It is best for us now because we have The Holy Spirit rather than Israel who had the budded
rod of Aaron.
- (John 16:6-10) the advent/coming of The Holy Spirit. (Verse 10) not seeing the Lord any longer
meant, no longer knowing Him after the flesh (2 Corinthians 5:16).
- We know what sin is because of The Holy Spirit (Romans 6:23) juxtaposed with (John 16:6-10).
When Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, this conviction includes defining sin also.
- The Lord’s ascension into Heaven (that is, going to the Father) necessitated the
coming/sending of The Holy Spirit.
- (Romans 10:4-), (verse 4) – righteousness comes from believing that Jesus died for sinners so
that the law might be abolished (Ephesians 2:13-, Colossians 2:13-, 1 Peter 1:21-). The “But” in
Romans 10:5-6 is a comparison between the fake righteousness (which is of the law) against
the true righteousness (which is of Faith). The fake righteousness is also biblically referred to as
self-righteousness [Romans 10:1-4].
- If one continues to ‘keep’ the law, that gesture is knowing the Lord after the flesh and by so
doing, no righteousness is imputed on a person who does the same.
- (John 16:11) the Holy Spirit is coming because the prince of this world is judged already. The
devil is already judged in that, there is no opportunity left of him for repentance, the same
happens to reprobates (those sealed for condemnation), who will never believe no matter how
the word is preached to them.
- The prince of this world will never say Amen to the message of Christ, the same way the sons
of disobedience will never believe the message of the cross.

9. - People are going to be sent to the lake of fire on account of their lack of righteousness which
righteousness is the righteousness of faith and they cannot choose to have it, it is at the Lord’s
discretion and predeterminant will.
- (Romans 9:13-), taken from Malachi 1. (Verse 15), God’s will is according to His own council
and he doesn’t give mercy because someone asked, ‘God have mercy on me’. (Verse 18), the
hardening of people’s hearts is the same as how the prince of this world was hardened.
- The mandate some zealous folks give themselves to depopulate hell and congest Heaven is a
heresy, some are going to perish and be judged.
- The coming of the Holy Spirit is to seal the fate of those who disobey this Holy Gospel.
❖ The manna
- How manna came to be – Exodus 16:2-10
- Manna came after the murmuring of Israel against Moses and Aaron – this is
synchronous/identical to how the rod of Aaron budded, it was because of Israel’s rebellion.

10. - (Verse 5), the sixth day represents now (The New Testament Dispensation) before the Lord
comes on the Seventh day for the Marriage. More clarity? Attend to
- The manna is the word of God, gathering twice on the sixth day represents attending to the
true Gospel during the New Testament Era.
- (Verse 4), the promise was, manna was to be a bread raining from Heaven, but Israel did not
see this raining bread, they just saw the manna on the ground. Manner came as dew/mist not
as rain, dew/mist is not rain (Genesis 2:5-6) implying that manna is not the bread which rained
from Heaven.
- (Numbers 11:31-34) the quals also kindled God’s wrath because they came from the sea
(waters from below) and not from heaven (water from above).
- (John 6:45-50), the Lord is that true bread which comes down from Heaven. Jesus proved to
Israel that the manna they ate was not from Heaven because after eating it, they died. Heaven
does not give a gift which after consumption, people die. The death spoken of is the Romans
6:23 kind, death by eternal condemnation (second death).
- We are the people receiving the true raining bread which is coming from Heaven because we
are the True Spiritual Israel.

11. ❖ The two tables of stone -
- The two tables of stone represent the commandments, the commandment of love (John
13:34, Galatians 5:14).
- The old law has been fulfilled to pave way for the new law.
- (Matthew 22:37-39), the whole law is now reduced to two and this two agree in one, the one
being Love.
- All the law and prophets hang on these two, no matter if one wants to confuse themselves by
saying ceremonial laws, all the law hangs on these two. The SDA cult confuses itself by saying
other laws are ceremonial even thou its prima scriptura (not scriptural):

12. - The whole Old Testament spoke of Christ’s love, which love was demonstrated in the death of
our Lord.
From Genesis to Revelation, the whole Bible is explaining about God’s manner of love
– Pastor S. Erengwi.
- The Love of our Lord defined, (1 John 4:7-10).
- (Jeremiah 31:31) is shows that, the law in the New Covenant is no longer written on tables of
stones but in the hearts of the saints.
- The Azusa Street revival only gave people shivers and laughing nonstop (in the name of
speaking in tongues) yet no product of the word
- The presence of the Lord is in us, we do not need the earthly Ark of Covenant, all its attributes
are alive in us.
- God is present where His word is preached, He is present where His Spirit is [John 4:24].
- Proof that God is amongst us is the Holy Spirit in us.
- (Revelation 21:1-) is on the launch of the New Testament Church which is the Heavenly
Jerusalem [Galatians 4:26, Hebrews 12:22]. A voice was heard declaring that the tabernacle of
God is amongst us, God Himself is amongst us and this separates us from natural Israel
because in their case, God was not amongst them but His presence (His Angel) was among
them.

13. - How can one claim to take a physical image of a spiritual being, an angel?
- The ministers of the Gospel are the angels because an angel simply means messenger
[Galatians 4:14, Hebrews 13:2] – more clarity is on a Sermon titled The Mystery of Angels
preached by Apostle T.F Chiwenga available on Soundcloud.
- The one who sent Gabriel to Mary is the one who also sent Apostle Chiwenga to preach to us
so why admire an angel? And what is important, the message or the messenger?

14. - Mwazha (who claims to be the angel of Africa) was sent by the devil so singing praises to him
is a heresy
- Every Assembly in the Assignment should be cognizant of the presence of the Ark amongst us,
God himself [not only His presence/angel] is amongst us but we are not conscious of that!
- (PS, verse 2-3) The reaction of Natural Israel when the Ark arrived was, they gathered about
the Ark then they sacrificed to God because of the Ark. Assembling came first then sacrificing.
- The assembling indicates how we (being from different backgrounds) have been brought
together into the New Testament Church.
- Only the message of the Ark’s arrival has the capacity to gather the whole of Israel together,
only the Gospel brought all of us together.
- The friends of Job gathered about him after they heard that he was sick, - one purpose should
assemble us in the Church of Christ that is to learn about Christ.
- (Hebrews 10:19-25) – the assembling of the saints is a necessity.
- Hebrews 10 is loaded with how salvation came to us from His days as Jesus to (now) His days
as Christ. (Verse 9) clarifies on the end of the law [Romans 10:4].
- If people gather without a mandate many mandates erupt [this explains the confusion in
shrines/false churches concerning doctrine] BUT the gathering of Israel is solemnly and
exclusively because of the Ark, which is to say, because of the Gospel.
- Problems we have in Jesus Revelation Ministries are usually because of persons who did not
come because of the Ark but because of ulterior reasons and concerns.

15. - Respecting and regarding the preaching of the word of God shows that one is truly a Spiritual
Israelite.
- (Revelation 3:20), we are invited by the Lord of lords and King of kings to dine with him, more
caution is to be exercised, far above the caution exercised when one eats with earthly soon-to-
perish kings and presidents.
- God is amongst us and evidenced in the preaching of the Gospel.
- (Luke 15:1-), Jesus eating with the publicans is Jesus preaching to them for eating to the Lord
is preaching [John 4:33-34].
- After the assembling, people began to give, people should be ready to give on account of the
Ark. Giving! How? – Listen to
- (Luke 8:1-4), the women who ministered unto the Lord of their substances.

16. - People should minister upon the knowledge of how they were saved as did Mary of Magdala
(Mary Magdalene) who ministered to the Lord after seven demons were chased from her. This
exorcism was a shadow of Salvation as further clarified in
- Israel received the Ark with joy, so we (Spiritual Israel) should be exceedingly joyous because
we are receiving the word of this Gospel (Acts 13:48).
- The reasons we give for not attending the assembling of the saints are always non-factors, if it
be washing your clothes, what is so important about your dirty clothes. There is no credible
reason we can give for not attending services (the assembling of the saints).
- Even the preacher is a beneficiary of the Gospel, once a sinner (chief sinner) then saved (1
Timothy 1:15).
- Everyone was sanctified by the Lord and the process of sanctification is still ongoing (John
17:17, Ephesians 5:25-26).

17. When the preachers are preaching, they are not only preaching to others but preaching to
themselves because they are part of those who are being sanctified/perfected – when the Ark
comes, everyone should be sanctified.
- Because of the Ark, everyone is expected to put own the white raiment, the attire – Galatians
3:27, Revelation 19:7, the fine linen is wearing Christ not the white garments those of the
Apostolic sects wear
- It’s a disaster for anyone to sing for God in the absence of the Ark, s/he will be singing a
stream of continual blasphemy and heresy.

18. - The songs we have which praise the Lord, it is because of the Ark. The songs we have received
from The Holy Spirit are thus exemplified:
- The manner in which we give is not reflecting the Gospel we have believed.
- That which is critical for all saints to pray about is for the Lord to help the Levites handle the
Ark, praying for the Ministers to handle the Gospel. (Acts 26:22). Praying for your mother -

19. - The cloud which surrounded the Temple when the Ark arrived is the cloud of witnesses
(Hebrews 12:1), representing the Ministers of the Gospel.
- If you think that those who had the Ark of Covenant are better, l have continual sorrow and
heaviness for you.
- Everyone should serve the Lord as instructed to do so, if you can sing, sing.
- You are not growing in the word if your life is not changing, if you are still in your sins.
Growing in the word is not retention of sermons and scriptures, it is leading a righteous and
blameless life after the example of our Lord.
- The reason why we receive these messages is, God is not happy with His people, God is not
happy with the conduct of His people.

20. - God is continually in us not partly or partially, there is need to:
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not
your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? [2
Corinthians 13:5]
