The Secret Of God [Teacher R. Chiwenga] Notes.pdf
1. Sermon: The Secret Of God
The Vessel: Eema – Teacher R. Chiwenga [Eema is Hebrew for Mother]
Principal Scripture:
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his
covenant. [Psalm 25:14]
2. Notes
- On this Earth, the time dedicated to learning the word of God is the most vital and important
time allocation there is, because everything else which occupies our time has been done
already by some and will surely continue to be done, even after we sleep (third death) so
continually, we should thank the Lord because of this Revealed Gospel.
- The first deduction from our Principal Scripture (Psalm 25:14) is that God has secret things.
- (Exodus 26:31-33), we are to learn of the secret things of God from the veil in the Tent of
Congregation. (Verse 33) speaks on the first veil, (verse 36) is on the second veil.
- From the above-mentioned Scripture, we know that without this Tent of Meeting, God
couldn’t be worshipped in the law. We also learn from these veils that God has His secret things
which are concealed and have restricted access.
4. - In the days of the Law, Israel prayed looking at the west, yet we have some shrines teaching
for doctrine that people should pray looking at the east.
- The rest of Israel (excluding the order of Aaron’s priesthood) were restricted to enter through
the veil into HaKodesh/the Holy Place but remained in the vicinity of the Tent of Meeting (the
Outer Court).
- We need to know what we have to learn from the Tent of Meeting considering that we are in
the New Testament – (Hebrews 9:1-14), (verse 1) shows that the first covenant had a worldly
sanctuary and as those in a Spiritual New Testament, we cannot establish church structures
with veils. (Verse 5) clarifies the need of having this study of the structure of the Tent of
Meeting, that, we need not be particular of details but rather concentrate the purpose of the
Tent of Meeting.
- [The purpose] The Tent of Meeting was there to preach about the Salvation plan to save us
from our sins.
- Israel did not understand the need of the veils as a means of restricting access into the
Sanctuary and consequently, into the Kodesh Kodeshim/the Holiest of all.
- When the Lord came in the flesh, he was in the Outer Court. The law had a segregatory and
restrictive system which restricted many from accessing the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies.
- Because of this restrictive system, Jesus came to correct and remove this segregation. This
segregation run deeper when the Gentiles (non-Jews by birth) were not even allowed to be in
the Outer Court, because of this, it puzzles when Gentiles contend in favor of the law (especially
tithing) when in the days of the law, their presence near Beit HaMikdash/Holy Temple, was
considered a profanity.
- Jesus Christ, when He saves, He is indifferent between either a Jew or Gentile, His mercy
allows for the salvation of Gentiles also.
5. - Jesus Christ, when he comes, he entered the flesh because those He wanted to save (both Jew
and Gentile) were all from Adam who was fleshy/earthy [1 Corinthians 15:45,49].
- The first Outer Court the Lord entered was an earthly body [Hebrews 10:5].
- He entered the flesh because sin came through the flesh, the reason why this body/sarx is a
woman relative to the pneuma/spirit-man is, sin came through the woman so that it could
access Adam [1 Timothy 2:14].
- (Galatians 4:4) the Outer Court is also the law, knowing that Jesus was born under the law
according to the flesh.
- One of the things which only Christ could do as the Kohen Gadol/High Priest was the ability to
eventually bring all his sons into the Holy of Holies contrary to what the priesthood order of
Aaron did that only the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies on Yon Kippur/Day of Atonement
once a year.
- The Lord came in the flesh to take those who are in the flesh into the Spiritual New
Testament.
- (Ephesians 2:14-15, Romans 10:4, Colossians 2:13-14, Romans 7:4), the Lord coming in the
flesh showed, the end of the law (the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New
Testament). To abolish the law, the Lord could not do it as a Spirit in Heaven [as the Word in
Eternity out of time] but it was needful that He comes (Christ comes) and enters the flesh (the
Jesus birthed by virgin Maria), this duality between Christ and Jesus is necessary to appreciate
and understand more about the Gospel.
- What does the first veil represent? As explained in (Hebrews 10:19-22), the first veil is His
flesh. The Holy place/Sanctuary is the New Testament.
- The breaking of the veil in (Matthew 27:50-53) was signifying the death of the Lord on the
cross because it happened simultaneously with His death (as He yielded up the spirit), this
tearing of the veil also signified access into the Sanctuary/Holy Place and the end of the
segregation of the law especially when the law denied the Gentiles access to the worship of
God.
- It is also a mystery how Apostle Matthew knew exactly that the renting of the first veil
happened simultaneously with the death of the Lord because the site of the Temple and
Golgotha were two locations, but it was written so that we might believe [John 20:31].
- Every shrine says Christ died for our sins but heresy remains because they know not what it
meant and what purpose it served.
- (Exodus 30:17-21), it was a requirement that before entering the Sanctuary, the Priests should
wash their hands and feet so that they die not. These washings were signified by what the Lord
did when he washed the disciples’ feet in (John 13:1-8), the disciples were representative of
6. Eve, the Church. Why feet? the feet represent movement, this movement yields dust and the
dust is representative of the sins of past life so before entering the New Testament, one should
be washed of his former sins by use of the water (the Gospel).
- (Matthew 22) shows that not everyone will be saved because some were removed from the
wedding feast, and some were not even invited and the invitation of some was revoked. (John
13:1), He came to save and love His own not everyone.
- After the resurrection of the Lord, everyone (even those in shrines) started to have a false
sense that they are in the New Testament. In the days of the law, no one could say he is Paul
Mwazha, an African Apostle and could claim that he is a founder of the church (Gentiles
couldn’t claim that):
- Because in the law, no Gentile could claim to worship God, later on claim to be a founder of a
church.
- Because everyone claims to be in the New Testament, the Lord differentiates His own and
identifies them through the washing of their feet, that’s why Petros was almost denounced by
the Lord when he refused to be washed his feet (John 13:8).
- We are in the New Testament era (Dispensation) but not everyone is in the New Testament
Church.
7. - Further proof that we are in the New Testament Era is how our time is name AD [Anno Domini
which translates to, after the death of Jesus]:
- At the door of the Sanctuary/New Testament that’s where the Doctrine of Predestination is
initialized because if one’s feet are not washed, he wont enter and only a few’s feet are washed
[the whole of Israel, only 11 apostles’ feet where washed].
- Petros insisting to be washed not only feet but the hands and head (John 13:9) preach about
people who claim that the method the Lord uses for Salvation is not enough so they will need
to supplement the Lord and find their own ways of Salvation, God be thanked, Apostle Cephas
was corrected.
- We should know that the dust/sin of our past life is not needed in the New Testament. Some
of us still cling to things they learnt in shrines like calling God ‘jehovha’ when we were taught
8. that, ‘jehovha’ is not the name of God.
- (John 13:8), when Peter said the head should be washed, he was insinuating that Christ as the
head [1 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 5:23], should be washed but we know that Christ is the
true God [1 John 5:20] and in God there is perfect perfection, no impurities and impediments.
The hands represent Faith because everything we receive in the New Testament; we receive by
Faith [Ephesians 2:8]. The Faith which belongs to the Lord [Galatians 2:20] has no need to be
washed but the dust off our feet.
- When the first veil was rent, if a Kohen/Priest was in the Sanctuary, he was suddenly exposed
at the sight of all.
- In the New Testament, we still have a second veil, this preach that even after being saved, this
is not the end of it, God still has His secrets.
- (Luke 24:45, 2 Corinthians 3:12-16) the veil still remains, which veil?
- What was concealed and hidden behind the second veil? (Hebrews 9:3-7) – it was the Ark of
God which represented the presence of the Lord.
- Since the second veil was not rent to reprobates, the second veil represents failure to
understand Scripture to the unbelievers, the second veil will still be there.
9. - God was the one hid behind the second veil.
- The requirement to go to Heaven is to know God whilst being here on earth and it’s an
impossibility, that’s why God in Christ [2 Corinthians 5:19] came into the world to rent the first
veil which is His body (Jesus), this renting brings saints into the New Testament. Being the
comers into the New Testament is not enough, we need to learn about God who is hid behind
the second veil before we finally get to Heaven (Holiest of all).
- (Hebrews 6:19-20), we have a hope to enter through the second veil , which hope Israel
did not have in the days of the law. The Lord entered the Holiest of all (Heaven) as a
forerunner so that we might have boldness and the hope [Titus 1:2] to enter.
- Levi leaving people without the Holy place was to show that the law was weak and
could not make people righteous.
- (Isaiah 25:7) this mountain is the New Testament (Hebrews 12:22), this promise is not
for those in the law but unto us.
- Because the second veil is removed, we can understand God now even before the
Judgement, the Marriage (2 Corinthians 3:18).
- Jesus the Lord made sure that His sons could also enter the Most Holy (Heaven the
dwelling place of God) by marrying the Church/Ekklesia so that twain becomes one
(Genesis 2:24 in conjunction with Ephesians 5:31-32). He did so because only Christos is
the only one needed into Heaven so His coming simplified the Head coming to join it
on to the Church His body.
- So, the Scripture still stands, only the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies, Christ the
Head and the body His Church.
- The neck of this body represents Grace, the Church is joined to Christ though Grace.
- (1 Corinthians 2:7-9), this secret, this hidden mystery [Ephesians 3:1-6, 1 Peter 1:9-12].
10. - Madungwe with his heresies and how people entertain him is a sign in itself that the
veil is still there:
- The veils were there to conceal the secrets of God, Christ is God is the secret, the
mystery of the Godhead (2 Corinthians 5:19. John 10:30, John 17:11].
- The veil is not rent for all, it is only rent for the elect, to the rest, the veil remains.
- (John 17:1-3) Jesus Christ was given power over all flesh so that he might save those
predestined for salvation.
11. - The ticket to Heaven is understanding the Gospel.
- There is no time for the prosperity Gospel because even our time on earth is
shortened.
- The greatest foolishness is to take the law as it is and practice it.
- Levi could not pave the way to the Holiest, only Christ could and already did for His
elect.
- We thank God because the veil was removed, and we can understand His mystery.
- Listening to what is preached at the shrines shows one that God doesn’t want to be
know by people, to have a secret.
- This secret is the word of God.
- Just quoting Scripture is telling people that God has a secret, just as TB Joshua did, just
telling people that they need revelation but knowing nothing about the Gospel.
12. - Don’t tell us that God has a secret, explain the secret, the mystery to us.
- When the Holy Gospel is declared, Christ is set before the saints crucified (Galatians
3:1).
