20. The Everyday Heroes
A mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a professional, a home maker, a manger, an entrepreneur, a humanitarian,
a responsible citizen, and many myriad roles played by her , sometimes as simple as lending a helping hand to
fellow beings, often unnoticed, unrewarded but every effort by her has helped make countless lives better. She
is you! The Everyday Hero whose stories make a big difference in our today and tomorrow.
From being the charismatic rulers of the past to modern day world leaders renowned for their accomplishments,
women world-wide have made a significant impact on the world as we know it. Be it their contribution in
making remarkable discoveries in science, their role in encouraging education , improving health, conserving
nature or in helping humanitarian causes, women have been at the fore front of development everywhere.
Be it the eternal compassion and goodness of Mother Teresa that helped countless sick and needy, Marie Curie
who made significant discoveries in radioactivity, Kiran Bedi, the most celebrated IPS officer of all times who
inspired many among us to step out of the traditional barriers and follow our dreams, or Hillary Clinton, one of
the most prominent world leaders, women everywhere have proved again & again that the only ingredient
required for making a change is the will to do it.
No obstacle is too big to be broken, No dream is too high to be realized. All you need is faith. Courage is the
ability to fight back and face whatever obstacle comes in your way. And it is inside each one of us. There is an
unsung hero within us. We only need to find it and fight our battles till we succeed. Let’s celebrate the success
of everyday heroes among us this women’s day.

7 Billion Strong, yet one of a kind like a glitter in the sky. What sets us apart and yet
unites us? Is it the child like zippiness in our play or the dreams we dare to dream or the
sparkle in our eyes when we share tales of our passion? Is it the pep in our step as we face
an uncharted brand new day every day, the grit we show in the face of adversity, the
courage with which we stand up for ourselves, for what is right, the compassion with
which we reach out to those who seek help, the gustiness with which we shrug, laugh and
get up after a fall or the radiance on our face when we smile?
It is that one thing that binds us together, brings us closer, makes us who we are and
makes the world around us alive & beautiful. Embrace the spirit of life within you.
It‘s Beautiful. It’s Spirited! It‘s You!

29. Ads that reads your face before playing….
Tesco is set to install hi-tech screens at its petrol forecourt
stores in Britain that scan queuing shoppers so the firm
can tailor advertising to them.
A deal with Amscreen, will see the “OptimEyes” system
rolled out to 450 Tesco petrol forecourts. The screens do
not use eyeball scanners, facial recognition or identify
individual customers in any way. The technology decides
whether a person is male or female and groups them into
one of three possible age groups, in order to serve them the
most appropriate advert.
