Rita Blanco is a Portuguese actress and voice actress born in 1963. She has starred in over 50 theater plays, films, and television shows. Some of her most notable roles include Casino Royal, where she began her television career in 1990, and the 2013 film La cage Dorée, which portrayed Portuguese emigrants in France and brought her international fame. Throughout her career she has received accolades such as a Portuguese Golden Globe for her role in Noite Escura.

 Rita Blanco completed her Training
Course of Actors of the National
Conservatory in 1985.
 Her first play as an actress was
“Mariana Espera Casamento” of Jean-
Paul Wenzel, in 1983.
 In 1987 she began a long collaboration
with the director João Canijo, in the
film “Três menos Eu” which granted
her the selection for the festival “Les
Stars de Demain”, in Switzerland.

4. She became famous because of her
acting of comic roles in television. Her
career on TV started in 1990 when she
works with the comedian Herman José
in the comic series Casino Royal.
In 2004 she won a Portuguese Golden
Globe for best actress in cinema for her
role in the movie "Noite Escura“.
