Water &Waste Management
What is water
management
• Water management is the management of water resources under
set policies and regulations. Water, once an abundant natural
resource, is becoming a more valuable commodity due to droughts
and overuse.
• Water resource management is the activity of planning, developing,
distributing and managing the optimum use of water resources. It is
a sub-set of water cycle management. Ideally, water resource
management planning has regard to all the competing demands for
water and seeks to allocate water on an equitable basis to satisfy all
uses and demands. As with other resource management, this is
rarely possible in practice.
Importance of water management
• Water resource management is a very important issue
from several angles such as development of water bodies
for future, protection of available water bodies from
pollution and over exploitation and to prevent disputes. A
paramount issue is water-its availability, quality and
management. Extensive hydrological information is
necessary to develop water resources and protect them.
What is Waste Management
• Waste management is a set of activities that include the following: collection , transport,
treatment and disposal of waste; control, monitoring and regulation of the
production,collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste;
• Waste management is a set of activities that include the following:[1]
• 1.collection , transport, treatment and disposal of waste;
• 2.control, monitoring and regulation of the production, collection, transport, treatment and
disposal of waste; and
• 3.prevention of waste production through in-process modification, reuse and recycling.
Importance of waste management
• Waste management is important because improperly
stored refuse can cause health, safety and economic
problems. All living organisms create waste, but humans
create far more waste than other species. To prevent
damaging the Earth’s ecosystems and maintain a high
quality of life for the planet’s inhabitants, humans must
manage and store their waste efficiently and safely.
-The new Movac system consists of two
main components: the new, third generation
mobile vacuum vehicle, the VL-5, and the
patented screw tank concept.
-These features provide an efficient and
environmentally friendly method of waste
collection in urban and suburban areas. In
comparison with previous mobile collection
systems, the emptying time is generally cut
in half and collection capacity is generally
doubled.
-underground waste
collection systems based
on vacuum technology.
• Single-line systems are the conventional type of
automated waste collection system. In a single-line
system, the pipeline network forms a tree-like layout,
where the waste station is located at the root of the
tree and the waste inlets are located along the
branches.
• Ring-line systems are a novel technology developed
by MariMatic. In MetroTaifun聶 ring-line systems, the
main pipeline both starts and ends at the waste
station. The ring-line uses vacuum and pressure to
convey refuse along the pipeline.
• Ring-line systems use both vacuum and pressure to
transport waste. This brings many benefits, such as
the automatic removal of blockages.
• The ring-line system enables effective and safe
municipal waste collection and offers a cleaner,
quieter and less smelly solution to municipal waste
collection, when compared with the conventional
single-line systems.

LIGHT PIPES
Light pipe obtains Sunlight and transfers it through a tube.
It lights up the building without the use of any bulbs
AIR COOLING SYSTEMS
Current air-conditioning systems produce harmful gases
In order to cool buildings, these special air cooling systems are used.
They do not emit poisonous gas
They are placed on the ground to use less energy.
GREENERY SYSTEMS
Green roof
Shield building from direct sunlight
Create cooler microclimate
Green wall
Produce oxygen
Reduce heat from building
What is security?
• The state of being free from danger or threat.
• The state of feeling safe, stable, free from fear or anxiety
What is the importance of security for a city?
• Protects the citizens from harm or danger
• It helps to make the citizens feel safe and secure
• A signal for citizens to abide by the law
• Helps to reduce crime rate
Security for the future city
• 24-hour surveillance camera at every street to monitor crime that happens. (Integrated CCTV system which
can automatically capture vital security images without the need of security personnel to manually check
the camera)
• Traffic system resides on a single Operating System (OS) so that when an emergency happens, paramedics,
poilice officers and fire fighters are able to quickly reach the scene of the incident. (Green light for
emergency lanes and red lights for the surrounding cars)
• Every citizen has a chip implanted in them where it is easier to locate
their whereabouts
• This chip can also be used to access their home or office
• Emergency centres within reach from the city center (at least 3)
• 24-hours guarded with well-trained law enforces and instilled with
strict patrolling system.
TRANSPORTATI
ON
Hyperloop
• High-speed transportation/rail
• Underground/above ground on pylons
• Thousand miles per hour
Incorporates tubes with a
low level of pressurization
that would contain pods with
skis made of alloy inconel,
which is designed to
withstand high pressure and
heat.
• Reduced drag and friction
• Air exiting those skis through tiny
holes will create an air cushion on
which the pods would ride, and they’d
be propelled by air jet inlets.
• Self-powered thanks to solar panels
placed along the top of the pod-
containing tube’s length.
Advantages
• Takes up minimal space on-land
• Doesn’t require uprooting of farms
& other infracstructure
• Eliminates ambient noise problems
• Minimizes derailment risks
• Fast transportation to destinations
with lenghty distances
• Safer
• Sustainable self power
Kingsman: The Secret
Service
• Used Hyperloop to travel during urgent events
Energy
Management
Solar powered houses and buildings
• reduces electricity usage
• sustainable and renewable

  • 3. What is water management • Water management is the management of water resources under set policies and regulations. Water, once an abundant natural resource, is becoming a more valuable commodity due to droughts and overuse. • Water resource management is the activity of planning, developing, distributing and managing the optimum use of water resources. It is a sub-set of water cycle management. Ideally, water resource management planning has regard to all the competing demands for water and seeks to allocate water on an equitable basis to satisfy all uses and demands. As with other resource management, this is rarely possible in practice.
  • 4. Importance of water management • Water resource management is a very important issue from several angles such as development of water bodies for future, protection of available water bodies from pollution and over exploitation and to prevent disputes. A paramount issue is water-its availability, quality and management. Extensive hydrological information is necessary to develop water resources and protect them.

  • 6. What is Waste Management • Waste management is a set of activities that include the following: collection , transport, treatment and disposal of waste; control, monitoring and regulation of the production, collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste; • Waste management is a set of activities that include the following:[1] • 1.collection , transport, treatment and disposal of waste; • 2.control, monitoring and regulation of the production, collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste; and • 3.prevention of waste production through in-process modification, reuse and recycling.
  • 7. Importance of waste management • Waste management is important because improperly stored refuse can cause health, safety and economic problems. All living organisms create waste, but humans create far more waste than other species. To prevent damaging the Earth’s ecosystems and maintain a high quality of life for the planet’s inhabitants, humans must manage and store their waste efficiently and safely.
  • 8. -The new Movac system consists of two main components: the new, third generation mobile vacuum vehicle, the VL-5, and the patented screw tank concept. -These features provide an efficient and environmentally friendly method of waste collection in urban and suburban areas. In comparison with previous mobile collection systems, the emptying time is generally cut in half and collection capacity is generally doubled. -underground waste collection systems based on vacuum technology.
  • 9. • Single-line systems are the conventional type of automated waste collection system. In a single-line system, the pipeline network forms a tree-like layout, where the waste station is located at the root of the tree and the waste inlets are located along the branches. • Ring-line systems are a novel technology developed by MariMatic. In MetroTaifun聶 ring-line systems, the main pipeline both starts and ends at the waste station. The ring-line uses vacuum and pressure to convey refuse along the pipeline. • Ring-line systems use both vacuum and pressure to transport waste. This brings many benefits, such as the automatic removal of blockages. • The ring-line system enables effective and safe municipal waste collection and offers a cleaner, quieter and less smelly solution to municipal waste collection, when compared with the conventional single-line systems.
