neededit.Ihavereallyenjoyedworkingwithmyteam membersandhave

writingandwomen'sandgenderstudies.Ashleycreatedsignageforthe
series.Shedesignedthetemplatetheseriescurrentlyusestopromotetown
hallmeetingsandon-campusvisitsfrom politicians.Ashleyrecruited
volunteersandcommunicatedwiththeeventplanningteam inorderto

Throughouttheyear,ourteam createdanextensiveportfolioofwork.Weindividually
perfectedourmarketing,creative,artdirection,andgraohicdesignskillsand
learnedabouthowtomarkettheseriesandtheeventswehosted.
Wecreatedmanysigns,posters,fliers,andsocialmediagraohicstopromoteboth
theseries,theeventswehosted,andguestsoftheBullyPulpitSeries.We
coordinatedvolunteersandhelpedintheseries’voterregistrationeffortsthisspring,
andleaandlearnedhowtobesuccessfulwithbothsmallandlargeeventsandthe
responsibilitiesoftheothertacticalteams.
OurAppendixofworkreallyspeakstotheresultsofourteam,butmoreimportantly,
itwasthecombinedeffortsofourworkandtheohertacticalteamsthatallowedfor
theseriestobesosuccessfulthisyear.

AsapartoftheBullyPulpitseriesweareheretoencourageandfacilitatecivic
participationthroughoutthestudentcommunitybyprovidingaplatform fordialogue
withournation’sleaders.Morespecifically,asthecampuspromotionsteam weare
inchargeofsignageandwouldliketoseenextyear’steam reinforceourefforts.
Wereccomendthatnextyear,thecampusandcommunityrelationsteam makea
consistentefforttocreatecontentandpromotionalmediainlinewiththeconsistent
brandwecbrandwecreatedthisyear.Wefeelthatbrandmanagementisimportantand
thenewclassshouldkeepthecontentconsistent,butupdatedforthenewyear.
WewouldalsoliketoseegreaterandmoreconsistenteffortstopromotetheBully
PulpitSeriesoncampus.Theeventsaregreatandasubstantialpartoftheseries,
buttheoveralleffortsandvisibilityoftheBullyPulpitSeriesneedstobepromoted
enough,sothattheseriescanstandaloneandachievenamerecognition.Wefeel
thatinaddioiontogeneralregularpromotionalefforts,thereshouldbegreater
volunteeroutvolunteeroutreachandperhapsestablishacluborgrassrootsorganizationon
campusthatcanallowformorestudentinvolvement,beyondtherequirements
oftheCommunicationCapstone.
Thenewcampusandcommunityrelationstacticalteam shouldalsocreatea
consistentpromotionalmarketingplanforeveryevent.Theshouldcoordinatea
schedulethatwouldincorporatetablinginCougarMall,emailblasts;socialmedia
informationblasts,schedules,andmedia,etc;andcreatesubstantiallymorephysical
signangeforasignangeforaroundcampusforspecificevents.Thiswillhelpcreatemorevisibilityon
campus,aswellasaidthem intheircreativemarketingskills.
WealsoliketoseeeventscateredtotheelectionendinginNovember:collaborations
withCABorCisternYardMediatohostteleviseddebates,events,and
voterregistrationefforts.Naturally,allwillneedextensivemarketing,butwouldallow
them totakepartintheelectionyear.

Theimportanceofcoordinatingclassschedules
iVoteRegsitrationWeek’sGamesontheGreenandPuppiesforPresidentmighthavebeenmore
successfulandorchestratedbetterhadthetwogroupscollaboratedinamoreorderlyfashionand
coordinatedclassschedulesandtiming.
Theimportanceofpromotions
Overall,throughoutthesemester,wereallylearnedjusthowinfluentialpromotionalmediacanbe
andhowimportantitistohavebothphysicalsignsandexcitingmediaforemailblastsandsocialmediaandhowimportantitistohavebothphysicalsignsandexcitingmediaforemailblastsandsocialmedia
forevents.WithregardstoiVoteWeek,wefeelthatwecouldhavedonemoreandcreatedmore
promotionaleffortsforcertianevents.
Wearemuchmorecohesiveasaclass,thanasseparateteams
Ourteam’sprimarilyresponsibilitieswereinstrumentaltotheeffortsoftheclass,butslightlyremoved
from theactualevent.Welearnedjusthowimportantitistohavedifferentteamsworkingondifferent
aspectsofthemarketingandpromotion,asalloftheteamswereinstrumentaltothesuccesssoftheseries
thisyeathisyear.Wewerebetterabletounderstandhoweventslikethiswouldbemarketingfrom start
toendinaprofessionalenvironment.

Asateam,wehavelearnedsomuchthroughouttheyearabouthowmuchwordanddetailgoes
intocreatingpromotionalmedia.Thereissomuchmoretoitthancreatingsignsandworkingwith
AdobeCreativeCloud.Itrequiresinsightintograohicdesign,artdirection,andcreatveconsulting.
Wetrulyfeelthatbytheendoftheyear,wehavebecomemuchmoreskilledaboutbrand
managementandhowimportantthatisforprivatebusinessandevents.managementandhowimportantthatisforprivatebusinessandevents.

Thisteam hascomesofar,andwe’velearnedmore
