 Participated in full patient care under the supervision of nurse preceptor for a wide variety of critically ill and
surgical pediatric patients with conditions including congenital cardiac defects,heart transplants, cancer,spinal
fusions, spinal cord retethering, end stage kidney disease, shunt revisions, asthma exacerbations, burns, anemia,
and cerebralpalsy.
 Exposure to working with numerous modalities including halo traction, somatic mirrors, nebulizers,
tracheostomies, vents, chemotherapeutics, electroencephalography, EKGs, arterial lines, blood draws, NG/PEG
tubes, and TPN administration.
 Collaborated with healthcare team members regarding patient statuses and treatment options, as well as with other
nursing staff so as to provide a seamless transfer of patient care.
 Aided in performing admission assessments and discharge teaching for patients and their families.

 Assessed children from age 13 to 19 years and identified normal and abnormal findings for conditions such as

 Administered multiple IV, IM, nebulizer, and oral medications, including those through G-tubes.
 Exercised family centered care by educating both children and their parents concerning such aspects of care as
infection detection, counting carbohydrates, insulin adjustments, medication adherence,resuming activities
