4. Woodruff Scout Camp, located in the North
Georgia Mountains, is one of the top camps in
the south for scouting. Woodruff has been in
operation since the summer of 1980. With
programs designed for maximum fun and
achievement, Woodruff offers once-in-a-lifetime
adventures for Scouts looking for a pure
Scouting experience. Scouts have the
opportunity to earn Merit Badge requirements at
our class-leading waterfront, nature/STEM
center, field sports, handicraft or shooting sports
ranges. In the afternoon, Scouts and their
Troops have the opportunity to take on
adventure challenges like climbing & rappelling,
whitewater rafting, mountain biking, mountain
boarding, Ga-Ga ball, interpretive programs, and
a variety of aquatic activities. Campfires, movie
nights, Vespers, and spoof badge sessions fill
the twilight hours before taps closes out another
great day of camp.

Internship Continued
7. During my summer 2017 internship I
worked at Woodruff Scout Camp. I spent
my days working on camper and staffer
relations. I ran the camp Facebook
page, interacted with our guest daily,
answered phone calls, composed
emails, designed flyers, came up with a
brand new program for scouts to enjoy
next summer and most importantly I had
fun doing something that I love and want
to do for the rest of my life. I did all of
that while expanding my education in
public relations.
