Greetings Mr. Robert Courtney,
It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that you have been selected to receive recognition
for “Leadership in Inspiring Others,” from the General Motors African Ancestry Network (GMAAN), a
GM-sanctioned employee resource group.
We are honored to salute you at our annual Black History Month Celebration. The theme for 2017 is
"The power of possibilities,” which stems from the spirit of Chevrolet, our premier sponsor for the
event. The festivities will take place on Friday, February 3rd, 2017 at the Renaissance Center Detroit
Marriott.
The evening will commence at 5:30 p.m. with a private VIP reception for all of our hosts and honorees
at the Forty-Two Degrees North restaurant on the third floor of the Renaissance Center Detroit
Marriott. The celebration and dinner will begin at 7:00pm in the Renaissance Ballroom.
Please send your abbreviated biography and a high-resolution headshot photo to Benjamin Bohannon
at benjamin.f.bohannon@gm.com, by Dec 12, 2017.
On behalf of GMAAN, I hope you are able to accept this invitation. We look forward to hearing from
you.
Sincerely,
J. Ofori Agboka
GMAAN President and HR Director – North American Manufacturing and Operations
