To Whom It May Concern: June 26, 2015
It is with great enthusiasm that I highly recommend, Mrs. Tara Broman. She has a warm and
patient personality and would serve as a hardworking and dedicated employee for you. She is
always willing to step up to assist others and produces quality work.
Mrs. Broman has worked with Berkeley County School District in several leadership capacities
over the past two years. She was asked to serve as a leader for 1st
grade on our Benchmark
Writing Committee. She accepted and was an active member of this team. She worked
collaboratively with other leaders to produce quality tests for students.
She was also asked to serve on the 1st
Grade ELA Focus Group last summer to review our current
curriculum and make adjustments to it to make it the best possible for our students. This was an
overwhelming success. Tara’s knowledge and expertise proved to be an important asset in this
process.
Mrs. Broman was instrumental in bridging a communication gap between our Special Education
department and regular education teachers concerning working with students with special needs
in the regular classroom. She drafted questions from teachers. The Special Education
department then made a document to address those questions to ensure that teachers’ questions
were answered and students’ needs were met.
Mrs. Broman has a keen attention to detail. She has been asked on a number of occasions to
proof district documents such as the Primary Report Card Pamphlets for parents and the new
common curriculum documents.
I have asked Mrs. Broman to assist the K-5 ELA department, Summer Reading Camp, and BCSC
Professional Development in creating resources for teachers and publicity documents to be
distributed. He work is very precise, innovative, and creative.
During our June Summer SAIL professional development opportunities for teachers, Mrs.
Broman taught a session, Creating Printables: Tricks of the Trade. She had a full session and did
a marvelous job engaging participants. Feedback from the session was extremely positive!
I hope that you will strongly consider Mrs. Tara Broman as an addition to your company, as she
would be a remarkable resource and leader. Please do not hesitate to call me if I can assist with
conveying more details to support this decision (843-209-5154).
Sincerely,
Christi Furrow
