It is my pleasure to recommendMaureen Kuhn-Rojasfor a dual-language
coaching or coordinator role. Having taught third grade dual-language at our
school, Maureen has demonstrated a passion for supporting other teachers by
providing resources and ideas to them. Having already spent part of her
career in a position that allowed her to utilize coaching skills, it seems that
she would transition smoothly to that role once again.
Maureen's strengths continue outside her own classroom. With thoughtful
care and supportive encouragement, she empowers others to join her in
taking risks to improve student learning. She actively collaborates with
other teachers and reading specialists in planning, communicating
information, and researching instructional strategies. She enjoys this typeof
work and seeks out opportunities to support other educators with the
knowledge she has developedin her professional career.
Maureen has been an integral part of our school community. Maureen
positively impacted many students, families, and colleagues as a classroom
teacher. For that, she will certainly be missed. However, taking this next step
would allow her to make an even greater impact on a school community. In
speaking with her, it is clear that she is ready to take on more of a leadership
role through a coaching/coordinator position. Her time as a dual-language
