16. Challenges
1. We don’t move enough
2. We lack uninterrupted time (because
of family and coworkers)
3. We mix work and home modes
4. We miss the motivation coming from
peers
5. We are impatient with the family,
when we have meetings and
deadlines to meet.
1. Use your extra time (if you have) to try
out something new (cook, move)
2. Make a TODO list for every day
3. Separate working space, time and
tools
4. Do as if you'd have a regular day:
wake up to alarm, dress up, have a
hearty breakfast, then "go to work" to
your dedicated spot.
5. Set up time and tool to move a bit
(stationary bike, online yoga, etc)
Tips and practices
Summary
17. Our ideas for managers, HR
1. Team leaders: set up silent time zones when no one is interrupted by calls.
2. Team leaders: Find the best ways to decrease bureaucracy by defining the biggest wastes in the new
situation.
3. HR: set up common get togethers, where HR/manager facilitates a conversation with a small group.
4. HR: introduce a team sport challenges app. Set up challenges for people with kids too.
5. HR: set up online workshops where team members can learn how to work together and motivate each
other in the virtual world.
6. Even better if you ask your colleagues what they need.
