acted as member of the aces Council from November 2010 until October 2013
The aces Council acts as an advisory group for the aces project management team, which nominates the
Council’s members for two to three years. It consists of four students and four teachers of previous aces
projects from different partner countries.
The tasks of the aces Council are:
Collecting opinions from the aces target group during the events and voicing needs and concerns
Make own observations to collect impression on offered participant’s support as well as on quality
aspects with regards to contents and organization
Contributing to a broader perspective for the future development of aces
Giving recommendations and thus preparing the field for decision making
Participate in meeting events and Council strategy meetings
aces, a network of schools in Central and South Eastern Europe, aims at fostering international school cooperation and intercultural dialogue of
young people. 15 partner countries are involved: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo,
Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic and Slovenia.
aces is an initiative of the Austrian ERSTE Foundation coordinated by Interkulturelles Zentrum in cooperation with VČELÍ DOM and supported by
the ministries in charge of education of all participating countries.
The core of aces is an annual project competition offering a support scheme for cross-border school partnership projects. The winning projects
are awarded with a grant and supported to carry out their bi- or trilateral
partnership projects.
